Note: Someone has opened a web page that contains my reviews of the
Top 100 Stories of 1995 along with the stories themselves. The
address is

I would like to express my appreciation to the owner of this web site
for making these reviews and stories conveniently available to a broad
audience. (I have no connection with this web site other than granting
permission to use my reviews and writing an Introduction.)
Note that the authors of these stories do not get paid for their
efforts. They would probably appreciate your constructive criticism.
Their e-mail addresses can usually be found in either the reviews or
the stories.
It may be possible for you to download these stories and read them off
line. To do this, use your browser to select the desired text, copy
it, and paste it into your word processor. You can then leave the web
site and read the material at your convenience. This will permit more
readers to have convenient access to the web site. If you download

If this works out well, maybe the same person will continue this
service with the Top 100 Stories of 1996 - and perhaps someone else
will offer a similar service for my monthly Top 15 lists.

“The Lifeguard” by Unknown Author. This story was listed as megan.txt.
There are a lot of stories by that name. I keep looking a good one
that I vaguely remeber and keep finding these others. This one is the
first offering from a new but unnamed author. Dave and Megan are
lifeguards. Dave fucks Megan after work. It’s an interesting story,
but it’s been told many times before; and it’s not as carefully written
as the best stories in this newsgroup.

“Open Big” by Thomas A. Long (pantsuit@prairienet.org). This is a very
good story, but it is somewhat confusing and therefore hard to
describe. Transparently about the dental orifice, it focuses on oral
and anal sex, giving little attention to nasal sex. Apparently I am
not the only person who uses sexual fantasies to ward off the potential
pain that the dentist might inflict. For my part, I make a specific
effort not to get too turned on in the dentist’s chair, even though I
engage in sexual fantasies while the dentist does his sadistic work.
My goal is to use good thoughts to ward off bad ones; I’m paying good
money, and I am interested in good teeth, not good head.
I prepare for my visits to the dentist by copulating frantically with
my husband at least twice the night before the visit; and I have
actually been known to cancel an appointment because I couldn’t
complete my preparations. Do you think the dentist or his hygienist
suspect what goes on in my mind? I do get pretty relaxed and horny
when the nitrous oxide kicks in; but I try to think about quiet, sexy
scenes from the past, and I deliberately exclude the person whose
breasts are dangling just inches from my doped up face and the guy
holding the gadget that could do wonders for my cunt or ass at thirty
thousand rpm with the proper attachment. Am I wrong in suspecting that
my dentist’s chair is not as virginal as the typical cheerleader at a
Baptist summer camp? This is all very confusing; and so is the story.
But it’s very funny!

“Shades of Sex” by K. Alan Brask (abrask@worm.hooked.net). The woman
is lounging alone in the hot tub of her apartment complex, having
passed up a date for that night. She sees a pair of human shadows
projected onto the window shade in a nearby apartment - shadows
performing an activity that she would prefer to her own solitude. She
starts masturbating. After verifying that she is alone, the woman
sheds her bikini bottoms in order to gain more direct access to the
target area. Suddenly a young man arrives at the hot tub. Blissfully
unaware of what she is doing, he initiates innocent small talk.
Covered only by the bubbly foam of the hot tub and possessed by a
desire to finish up what she has started, the woman is determined to
continue her good work without letting the man know what is happening.
This is an excellent story, but it could use some stylistic
improvement. Sex in dangerous or semi-public places is a major turn-on
for me - as long as I can avoid detection, rape, or arrest.

*"Terri's Dilemma" by The Observer (lsummers@onramp.onramp.net). This
author is determined to become an excellent writer. Here he has
revised a story to which I already gave high ratings and which ranked
number 5 on my Top 15 list for April. The revisions have indeed led to
improvements in an already good story, and I have boosted his ratings
as far as they can go. I am repeating the original review here.
The narrator has been keeping company with Terri as a sort of favor to
the family. Her boyfriend is in the army, and somebody has to hang out
with her. The story opens with Terri giving the narrator a ferocious
slap for no good reason. He responds with a grim determination to take
the bitch home and dump her for good. However, as every British
schoolgirl knows, when a girl slaps a guy for no discernible reason,
it's because she loves him. And if the recipient of the aggression
would simply get a grip on himself, he would realize that the emotions
are reciprocal.
I'm not going to retell the story; the fun is in finding out what's
going to happen. I'll only say that in many ways this story is a
fusion of the previous two stories in this review. Like "Old Friends"
this story is built around power struggles; and like “Lisa” it
describes the fruition of a relationship that began badly. Oh - I
almost forgot. The sex scenes are some of the hottest ever; and their
heat is intensified by the chemistry of the context.
One thing I had trouble with was the anal sex scene. I have come to
the conclusion that anal sex is uniquely personal. This story and
several others describe it as painful. I have engaged in anal sex with
a loving partner, and I have experienced no pain. The guy in this
story seems to want to dominate his lover and she wants to be
dominated. Domination is not a conscious part of my anal sex. I like
anal sex because it’s a violation of a taboo that’s just waiting to be
broken; it’s a way to be nasty without really being nasty at all. I
think the secret lies in having a gentle lover who has rimmed the
asshole tenderly and has finger fucked it on previous occasions and who
uses plenty of lubrication when he finally rams his dick home.
Remember, the ass doesn't naturally lubricate, and it may be useful to
withdraw and add some extra KY before finishing the job. I guess the
other part of the secret is to relax and enjoy it; if you're tense, I
guess it might hurt like hell. I have learned to relax and enjoy it so
much that once when I had to have a barium enema I was afraid I would
have a sexual climax in the examination room through association with
anal sex. We engage in anal sex less often than in other forms, but I
would describe the feeling as slutty (in the best sense of the word)
and very filling. {In my fantasy life, I would like to have one cock
in my cunt and one in my ass.} In addition, there's the side advantage
of making me look forward to my next GI series.
This is an extremely creative and generally well-written story. The
author uses a nice variety of stylistic techniques. I especially liked
the way the narrator's perspective kept changing as Terri's behaviors
shifted in response to the narrator’s own actions. I also liked the
wide variety of writing styles that the author blended into an
integrated story.

*“The Photographer’s Daughters” by The Observer
(lsummers@onramp.onramp.net). This author has continued to revise and
upgrade his earlier stories. I don’t have time to write a complete new
review of this story, but I want to acknowledge that he is reposting
the story with revisions. Although I have not had time to give the
story more than a cursory glance, I think it is safe to assume that the
already high ratings would be even higher now.
Bob the Photographer lived across the hall from the Narrator of this
story. Bob had two daughters to speak of; hence, the title of this
story. The first daughter was Julie, an 18-year-old of dubious virtue
whose only thinking apparatus was between her legs. Part one describes
the initial emboikment of Julie by the Narrator.
Wendy (Part 2) was sixteen years old. She was as much of a slut as her
sister, and then some. But she ignored the Narrator, and he ignored
her, no doubt because of his scruples concerning having sexual
relations with young girls. Then Bob went out one night and asked his
friendly neighbor to keep an eye on Wendy. Needless to say, our
Narrator fucked the hell out of the sweet young tramp and sent her home
to her mother and her boyfriend in another state, so that she could
give Bob a grandchild nine months later.
For Part 3 I figured there would be a third daughter, but instead Julie
returned and began playing mattress tag with our Narrator on a daily
basis, since her wealthy fiance was a bit of a drag. She went off the
pill, and our narrator disliked condoms. This was not really a problem,
since he and Julie and the fiance were all so virtuous; and besides, he
decided to teach Julie to like oral sex. He developed an elaborate
plan to get Julie pregnant the night before she married the other guy,
but I can’t tell you whether it worked.
This is an interesting story, even though it doesn’t have a clearly
focused plot. I started out thinking these people were hormonally
imbalanced imbeciles with no brains or emotions outside their genitals,
but then their personalities developed as the story went on. The
author writes in several different styles, and this makes for
interesting reading. I enjoyed this story.

*“Meeting Shirley” by The Observer (observer@onramp.net). When this
author originally posted this story, I incorrectly believed he was
trying to tie it in with “The Photographer’s Daughters.” Not true; it
ties in with “Terri’s Dilemma.” This makes better sense, and I revoke
my chastisement. In addition, I noticed that in his revision the
author took my suggestion and at least made “Damn you Charlie” a
subtitle. I don’t have time to re-review the whole story; so here’s a
corrected version of the original review.
The man likes women who are a challenge: sexy, smart, classy, devious,
and underhanded - with a whim of iron. As a favor to a friend,
however, he agrees to take a frumpy young lady to dinner. After she
changes clothes, she becomes beautiful - even enchanting, if non-French
men would ever use that word. {Usually it works the other way, I’m
told: beauty deteriorates geometrically during the first twelve hours -
except near closing time. As one of my former professors used to say
whenever he talked about nuances among synonyms: “She was a vision in
the evening, and a sight in the morning.”} Unfortunately, the
protagonist has promised his friend not to seduce this young lady.
The chemistry between them is obvious. I don’t know when I have read
so many hot lines before any sex has occurred.
I think I once berated this author for dangling his modifiers. He has
reformed almost completely - almost: “Alone at last with Shirley, my
cock was making its presence known even more than it had numerous times
during the day.”
Incidentally, if I were the author of this story, I would have gone
with “Damn you Charlie” for its title.
One problem I had with this story was that it ended a bit up in the
air. The author starts a new subplot near the end and doesn’t finish
the first plot. This was a bad place to break the story, but he
promises a continuation this week.

“Peer Pressure” by Wollstonecraft (an285729@anon.penet.fi). In the
past Terry has said no to guys who wanted her to go to far. Result: no
dates for six months. Her peer counselor, Jenny, has convinced her to
loosen up; and now, as Bobby’s tongue duels with hers, she’s following
that advice. Being lonely is not fun. Sex is. Some choice! At
Bobby’s urging, she opens his zipper, takes his cock in hand, and
thinks, “Please, don't try to put in me, please, please, don't!” Bobby
moans and says, “Thanks, Terry! That’ll be enough for tonight!” He
zips his fly, takes her home, and gives her a sweet kiss on the cheek.
The next day he sends her flowers with a poem he wrote himself.
Yeah, right! This is Wollstonecraft, not Pollyanna. Actually, Bobby’s
next words are, “Mmmm, Terry, you're so tight! So warm, so tight!"
You can well imagine the course of events that ensue, right after Bobby
pauses and says, “Y-you've done this before, right?" She doesn't tell
Bobby he is going to be a father. After he spreads the word about how
good Terry is at sex, she becomes real popular. She goes out with a
different guy every night and does what comes naturally. The baby
might not even be his.
In addition to the overall realism, what the author accomplishes
extremely well in this story is his portrayal of the Terry’s
ambivalence. She constantly thinks one thing and does the opposite;
and the contrast is, effective, exciting, and depressing.

“Fruit of the Vine” by Wollstonecraft (an285729@anon.penet.fi). The
girl has been drinking, and her boyfriend has been nice enough to find
her a quiet, cool place to lie down. As she feels her jeans being
pulled down over her hips, she vaguely thinks she ought to protest; but
she can’t understand why. The fondling fingers on her body feel so
good, especially when they press into the soft globes of her ass,
lifting her off the bed, sliding her jeans down her legs. Her torment
over her virginity slipping away and her immediate realization that she
is probably pregnant become trivial when she is faced with the
knowledge that the guy who fucked her was not even her boyfriend, but a
total stranger.
Things work out; it’s just a major change in her way of life. She
discovers that there are a lot of guys who love to fuck knocked-up
bitches and who pay quite well for the privilege. If she manages
things right, she can simply become a whore and maintain this new
lifestyle for a long time. The one aspect of the story that I disliked
was the fact that the guy who popped the girl’s cherry was a black man.
This detail was presented with a racially demeaning nuance: not only
did the girl get deflowered by a stranger while she was drunk, but to
make matters worse the guy was a scruffy black guy. I don’t think this
racial slur contributed to the story, and I would have liked to have
seen it omitted.

“Safe Sex” by Wollstonecraft (an285729@anon.penet.fi). The girl is hot
for the boy. They have engaged in mutual oral sex, but the girl is
still a virgin. She doesn’t want to get pregnant. He shows up with a
condom. With no further reason to say no, she accepts his cock inside
her; but in the heat of passion they forget to use the condom. Too
late; she’s pregnant; they get married. Five years later she tries it
just one more time with another man. Ooops; she’s pregnant; they get
divorced.
The author describes this and the preceding two stories as a “variation
on a theme.” One way to state that theme is to say that it’s a good
idea to decide on a set of rules ahead of time and then to live your
life in such a way that you won’t deviate from these rules by accident.
In other words, if you’re going to make decisions that will radically
change your way of life, you might want to try to make those decisions
on purpose - not by default. My mother taught me the same lesson when
I was a teenager. This version is more interesting than the way my
mother tried to teach me that message - and more likely to be
convincing to a teenager. Oddly enough, my mother’s sermon would be
acceptable in churches, whereas holy people would like to ban these
stories from the Internet. Go figure.
The stories are NOT simply sermons or parables. The sex in them is
graphic and erotic; but anybody who thinks at all about these plots is
likely to conclude that the girl came out behind on each of the
exchanges. These stories make that point better than most moral
lectures. I was going to suggest using stories like these to enlighten
teenagers; but the better idea would be to let kids know that they
exist and then to forbid them to read “this kind of trash.” This would
insure that the kids would read them and possibly gain some useful
insights.

“Bushido” by Sachi Mizuno (71022.251@compuserve.com). I truly enjoy
historical novels and televised miniseries with historical themes.
Likewise, I enjoy reading about sex in a historical context. The
present story takes place in Medieval Japan - during the Tokugawa
shogunate, which would place it in the early 1600’s. I am familiar
with this period of Japanese history from other sources, and the
customs and events in this story seem to be extremely accurate. For
example, the daimyo (lords) really were hereditary warriors who were
governed by a code of ethics - bushido (which means "the way of the
warrior") - that defined service and conduct appropriate to their
status as elite members of Japanese society. In addition, during the
Tokugawa shogunate sons of the daimyo were routinely sent to the
capital at Edo to serve as hostages in order to assure the good
behavior of their fathers. A glaring exception to the overall accuracy
is that in the first chapter the daimyo considers Tokugawa to be a weak
and almost effeminate ruler. This is grotesquely inaccurate, and
surely the author knows this. I suspect that in a later chapter the
daimyo will realize his mistake.
The first chapter is full of political intrigue and sex. I do NOT know
for certain how accurately this story portrays the sex life of Japanese
lords in the 17th century, but the presentation was certainly
believable. In addition, the chapter that I sampled was just plain
well written. If I were not already overwhelmed with numerous good
stories to review for this newsgroup, this is certainly a book I would
read. The publisher has a Web Page at http://users.aol.com/specpress.

“Paying the Price” by Boomer (boomer@undernet.com). This story
consists of three paragraphs: a semi-literate introduction and
conclusion, and an extremely long, rambling, main paragraph that is
nearly devoid of spelling, punctuation, and grammar. The gist of the
story is that Julie gets plastered; her husband is too far gone himself
to take her upstairs; and the black friend not only takes her upstairs,
he also fucks her comatose brains out - with the hubby’s blessing, of
course. The gentleman has a “monster cock” twice the size of the
husband’s, and he is genuinely grateful for the good fuck; but the wife
is probably going to dump hubby when she delivers a black baby in a
month or so.
Let me get this straight. The man’s wife is a sex goddess who was
completely blitzed and has no recollection of the sexual activity that
got her pregnant. Hubby wants to retain his franchise to fuck her; but
she’s going to become suspicious when she gives birth to an infant
whose skin color will suggest that the ole man is not the papa and will
want to divorce him. Apparently they are deeply religious people - I
would assume that’s why abortion has not been an option. The trouble
with men is that they never watch soap operas. Given these
circumstances, the man should simply feign indignity and accuse HER of
being unfaithful when the child is born.
