Celestial Reviews 121 - September 28, 1996

relatively short list and short reviews.

“Siblings” by Michael K. Smith (mksmith@metronet.com). The author
labels this a “novel in progress. The story is long - really long; but
it’s good. It includes several completed chapters and an outline of
what is missing. The main characters in the story take the simple
perspective that if an action feels good and hurts nobody, then it is
good; and on this basis the brother and sister build a sexual
relationship that extends from their childhood into their adult lives
and enables each of them to embrace other lovers as well.
In chapter five the author digresses from the story and defends the
practice of consensual incest. His arguments are plausible. The most
serious objections, as I understand them, are genetic difficulties
arising from recessive genes (double recessives are much more likely to
occur among related individuals) and the high probability that
incestuous relationships are likely to be coercive and therefore
abusive. The author is aware of the dangers of abuse; his story
“Remembering” vividly depicts the bad effects of such a relationship.
His argument here is simply that those problems do not occur in this
story and that the relationship between Michael and Alex is healthy and
beautiful. The story certainly demonstrates his point.
The other objection to this story goes something like this: “The bible
says incest is wrong, goddamit!” I’m pretty sure that’s not true; but
certainly lots of people who read the bible and claim to be religious
people say it’s wrong. This story doesn’t address theology directly,
but what it does do is draw a portrait of two main characters and
several others who are genuinely good and socially responsible people.
Bible thumpers make me nervous and annoy the hell out of me. I’d
rather have a couple of incestuous hedonists like these for next-door
neighbors.
The author states that “the story contains no sex scenes as such”; but
that’s not true. It would be more accurate to state that the story
does not glory in sex for its own sake; but it is very heavy on
romantic sexual contact in the context of the developing relationship
between this brother and sister. This story is extremely well written.
Because it is long and complex, I won’t even attempt to summarize it
any further here. I strongly recommend this story.

“French Tickler” by Mark (MarkB@aboy.demon.co.uk). The narrator has
been cycling in the Loire valley and decides to wander into Pinochelle
to enjoy the evening air and maybe to see what quaint, provincial
nightlife this somnolent region has to offer. Well, he over-imbibes at
the “club” and finds himself dreading the walk back to his lodgings,
but then a busload of young French women pulls to a stop next to him.
Does he want a lift? It is a long way to walk in the dark, n'est-ce
pas? He accepts the ride and finds himself packed in tightly in the
back of a crowded bus between two people to whom we shall refer
euphemistically as Fille Gauche and Fille Droite. I guess this might
sound boring - a guy snuggled up between two young French girls whom he
can’t even see because of the darkness, surrounded by raucous
conversation, hands and mouths reciprocally engaging in very private
but friendly activities, mind-blowing orgasms; but I certainly enjoyed
it. Those Filles really know how to throw an impromptu bacchanal when
they put their minds to it!
Ooops! The bus has stopped to let him off. Why is everyone so quiet
and looking at the back of the bus? And how long have they been
watching? Oh well, c’est la vie! The other passengers (Filles Autres)
all burst into a spontaneous and sincere round of applause, laughter,
and high-fives.
Besides having a great idea, this author uses the language very, very
well. But where was the tickling?

“Trinity Trilogy Novel 12/14” by Tom Trinity (stbush@iglou.com). This
segment begins with Judy playing the role of the Girl with the Golden
Vibrator. She offers to share, but Janie prefers Tom’s warm, live toy;
and so Judy achieves a very nice compromise by doing Janie’s back door
mechanically while Tom supplies live action through the front door.
We’re off to a fast start this week.
As I have long suspected, the Trinity Trilogy people are pushing the
big four oh. When they make arrangements for Jennifer (the Trilogy
offspring) to sleep over at Betsy's house on the night of Candy’s 40th
birthday, we can surmise that the Gang isn’t going to give her a
cashmere sweater for the occasion. Their surprise is three cocks at
one time - two strap-ons plus Tom. The dildos even squirt cum. (Karo
syrup and whipped egg white. The recipe comes in the package. This
thing is real. I’ve seen it up close and personal.)
Actually, there are several motifs this week. A couple of stories
incorporate sextoys, and then a few pursue a movie motif - a creative
combination of home movies and excerpts from professional movies.
Oddly enough, their old friend Dorothy comes for a visit on Halloween
night, while the Trilogy people are all dressed in Wizard of Oz
costumes. The part that’s closest to my heart is the action that takes
place at the computer, while Janie and Tom write a Trinity Trilogy
segment to post on this newsgroup and the others help them with their
research.

“Shocking Times” by Steve S. (100255.351@CompuServe.COM). Simon has a
problem. Not a big problem - well, that’s not quite true; he has a
nine-inch cock that won’t fit all the way into his fine wife of 25
years. Besides that, Pam is a bit on the demure side, refraining from
such wanton activities as deep throating, sucking to climax, and anal
sex. And so while Simon finds deep satisfaction in having Bill's
supposedly staid wife Sam, who has been a friend for some fifteen
years, sitting astride him with a look of pure pleasure on her face and
sinking one very hot, wet, cunt onto his very erect penis, he also
feels a mild ambivalence arising from his act of infidelity. Then Sam
and he tiptoe upstairs and find Pam going at it like a wild woman with
Bill in the master bedroom. It turns out that a few days earlier Pam
had come upon Sam and Bill humping in the kitchen and had joined in the
festivities. To ease her conscience, Pam figured she’d arrange for Sam
to fuck Simon. Pam apologizes for her chicanery; Simon forgives her;
and they live happily ever after.
I found the story just a little confusing from time to time. But the
sex was very, very hot.

“Friends” by Vicki Tern (VickieTern@aol.com). Bob comes home from work
and finds a Dear John letter: his wife has left him for another woman.
He is distraught; and so he goes to his next-door neighbor, Melissa,
for counseling. She advises him to become more of a woman. After
brief consideration, he realizes Melissa is right and agrees to submit
to her training program in order to get his wife back. As is usual
with this author, the story takes many unusual twists; but in the end
everything makes perfect sense.
I found this story to be fascinating, but not especially sexy. On this
newsgroup, I guess that statement may come across as an example of
damning with faint praise. What I mean is that the story held my
attention while it enlightened me, and I enjoyed it; but it did not
turn me on directly. I suspect that guys will even find some of the
activities to be unpleasant if not disgusting. My advice is to such
guys is to read this story as kind of a good-cop bad-cop routine. If
you can realize how women differ from you and how you might be able to
meet their needs more completely, then maybe you can find a way to
release the so-called feminine impulses and desires that men always
suppress, such as a desire to find fulfillment for yourself by pleasing
others and being more gentle, considerate, and sensitive. Not entirely
a bad idea!
I didn’t like this story as much as “Snip!”, which I reviewed in CR
108; but it’s still a very good story.

“Two-Time Loser” by PleaseCain (pleasecain@aol.com). This story is
incomplete, distorted, and confusing; but these characteristics enhance
rather than hurt the quality of this story. The incompleteness,
distortion, and confusion are deliberate: they reflect the state of
mind of the narrator, who has lost a bet of some kind to his girlfriend
and has decided to get even with her. In his warped mind he thinks he
is getting revenge by doing a striptease in front of her friends,
but... well, you read the story and see why the author gave it this
title.
