"Oh no... Oh no," she screamed.
Ron walked around the bed, "What's wrong?"
"Someone took pictures of me. Oh my God there's a black man on top of me and another man putting his... thing in my mouth. Oh my God if my father finds out about me having sex with a black man he'll kill me and whoever that guy is."
"The fact that the man is black shouldn't bother your father," Blaine said, trying to keep from grinning, "Your father has always run on a strong civil rights platform. He always tries to make sure that minorities are represented in his government."
Tears were streaming down Becky's face, "He hates blacks. He only caters to them to get their votes. You should hear how he talks about them at home. Oh my God, he's going to kill me."
A shocked look came over her face as she suddenly realized that if there was one picture there was probably more somewhere. She sat down hard on the bed and stared straight ahead.
"What's wrong Becky?" Blaine asked.
It took a minute for her to answer, "I wonder if there are any other pictures?"
Blaine sat down on the bed and put his arm around her shoulders, "Becky, there was a guy with a Polaroid camera and a guy with a camcorder. I've already got a couple of my people chasing down the pair and they're going to make sure that they get the pictures and that no copies have been made. Now don't worry, we'll get them and we'll make sure that everybody keeps their mouth shut. I'm going to make sure that your father never hears about this and that no one else does either. You father and I are fighting for the same things and I sure wouldn't want him to be ruined politically."
Becky put her hands in her face and started sobbing. Ron Blaine let her cry until she cried herself out. He sat on the bed next to her until the sobs became low moans.
Finally Ron put his hand on her leg, "Why don't you got get a shower and get cleaned up. I'll have the hotel get a pair sweat pants and a sweatshirt so that you can get out of here. Do you have a car?"
She nodded her head.
"OK, now get in there and get that shower and stop worrying. I'm going to make sure that no one ever finds out about this. Your father will never know that this ever happened. I'm going to make this go away. You just have to work with me and do what I tell you."
She nodded her head again and got up and started for the bathroom. She turned and looked at the Congressman just before she went into the bathroom, "Do you really think that you can make sure that none of the men say anything?"
"I know that I can," he said, "None of those men want to spend the rest of their lives in jail. Besides, they're all loyal to me and will do what I tell them. Now get your shower so we can get out of here."
Becky turned and walked into the bathroom. Blaine heard the water start running in the shower. He heard the shower curtain being closed and he began to take off him clothes. He waited for about five minutes and then walked into the bathroom.
Blaine heard Becky murmuring to herself but he couldn't make out what she was saying. He pulled the shower curtain aside and stepped into the shower with Becky.
"What are you doing," she asked softly.
"Just helping you get cleaned up," he said, taking the washcloth from her.
He started to scrub her back. After her back was washed he started to wash her breasts and stomach. He pulled her to him and took both of her breasts in his hands. Becky passively let him fondle her. Blaine wasn't sure if the roofie was still having some effect on her or if she was just resigned to the fact that she needed him to get her out of this mess.
"Damn you've got a great body," he said.
Becky didn't answer and he kept washing her. He turned and put the washcloth on the showerhead. Blaine put his hands on her shoulders and began to gently push her down on her knees. At first she didn't know what he wanted but as she realized what he was doing she allowed herself to be pushed down on her knees. He shoved his erection toward her face and touched his cock to her lips. She opened her mouth and he slipped his cock into her mouth.
"Come on baby, suck it," he said.
Becky held the head of his cock in her mouth but didn't suck him. Blaine began to thrust into her mouth and soon was fucking her face. She held him in her mouth passively until he finished. He wasn't sure if she was just going along with what he was doing or if the drug was still having some effect on her.
"Ah, that was great baby. Now hurry up and finish so that we can get out of here," he said as he stepped out of the shower.
Ron grabbed a towel and began to dry off as he walked into the bedroom. Slowly a plan began to take shape in his head. He still had two more days before he had to be in Washington. He picked up the phone and called three of the corporate executives that he worked with. After he had arraigned everything he called the front desk and asked them to send someone out and pick up a jogging suit for him.
Becky walked out of the bathroom with the towel around her, "What about my clothes or something so that I can get out of here."
"I've got the hotel getting a jogging suit for you. When it comes we'll get out of here. I'm going to go to my cabin in the mountains. You'd better come with me until I can get the photos and the film out of that camcorder. Just leave a note for your family that you're going to be gone for two days. Meet me at the airport at three o'clock."
"I don't know," she hesitated.
"Look," he said sternly, "I have to have time to get to each of those men and put the fear of God into them. If any of them happen to see you... well it could get dicey. I need time for my people to work. Look I'm doing everything that I can. You have to work with me. I want to make sure that this incident dies now. I can't afford to have this hanging around."
"OK," she said, "I'll be at the airport at three. Where should I meet you there."
"Go to the business aircraft section. I'll have a plane ready to take us to an airport upstate. Wear a scarf and big sunglasses so that no one will recognize you."
Becky didn't answer and walked into the living room of the suite. Rom walked in behind her and turned on the TV and sat down and started to watch the news. They sat without talking until there was a knock on the door.
Ron answered the door. The hotel had found a jogging suit and he signed for it, being careful to stand so that the bellman couldn't see into the suite.
Ron handed the suit to Becky and she took it without a word and walked into the bedroom to put it on. Ron called his office to let them know that he would be unavailable for a couple of days. He left strict orders for the office to not ever try to page him.
Ron began to think about Becky driving home. He knew that if she was stopped and didn't have any ID it could cause problems. He got up and pulled her pocketbook out from behind the sofa and put it on the coffee table. He waited for Becky to come out of the bathroom.
"I found your pocketbook," he said as she walked out of the bedroom, "It was in one of the drawers in the desk."
"You didn't find my clothes?"
"No. We'll sneak down the back stairs to the garage and you can get your car and get home. Remember; meet me at three at the airport. You have to give me a couple of days to straighten this out. If you don't do as I say this can ruin your father and me too."
Becky turned without a word and headed for the door. Blaine looked around the room for anything that he might have missed and followed her out of the hotel suite. He wondered what whoever found Becky's clothes would think when they found them. They made it to the garage without being seen and Becky made her way to her car. At her car she turned as if to say something and then turned and put the key in the lock and opened the car door.
"Don't worry Becky, I'll straighten this mess out. This will never get any further. I promise you that."
Becky started the car without answering and pulled away from the Congressman and began down the ramp to the garage exit. Blaine smiled at himself. If he played his cards right this would make sure that he would be Senator next time... maybe even a run for President.
Blaine looked at the plane behind him one more time and muttered, "Damn fools. They should have sent a plane without Sun Environmental Services, Inc. in huge letters on the side. What if someone from the papers sees me getting on that airplane?"
The Congressman looked at his watch again and saw that it was ten minutes after three. He began to get worried that Becky wasn't coming. If she didn't come he would lose control of the situation and then he might have big problems. He decided that he would wait no more than thirty minutes longer. He couldn't take a chance on the papers seeing him standing next to Sun's plane.
Ron was already taking a lot of heat for his support of the contract to clean up the superfund sites. The contract had been awarded without being bid on the grounds that it was an emergency because the hazardous materials were leaking into the aquifer. The heat was starting to die down a little. It had been dicey for a while and that asshole of a Governor had put his two cents in at just the wrong time. Blaine had been made to look like he was in the pockets of Sun environmental.
He looked up and saw a car like the one that Becky had been driving pull into the business airplane parking lot. He began to walk over to the car. As he approached the car he saw that it was Becky. She put her sunglasses on as he opened the door. She got out of the car pulling a small duffle bag with her.
"I'm glad you decided to go with me," he said, "This will give me time to get this behind us. Are you Ok?'
She nodded her head, "Are you sure that you can keep everyone quiet about what happened?"
"Sure babe. My people have been talking to the guys all day. By the end of the day no one will remember anything. Now let's get on the plane and get out of here and get to the cabin where we can relax."
"You don't expect... I mean... I won't."
"Look Becky, this trip is just to get you out of town for a couple of days to give me time to do what I have to do. I'm not expecting anything."
Becky looked down at the ground. Blaine reached toward her and took her bag from her and they walked toward the airplane. He led the way onto the airplane and in a matter of minutes the plane was moving and soon was lined up on the runway ready to take off. The pilot released the brakes and the plane began to move. The plane slowly began to increase its speed and soon the nose wheel lifted off followed by the landing gear. A second later they heard the thump of the landing gear retracting and coming to a rest in the belly of the airplane.
Becky turned to the window and stared out at the ground below not really seeing anything. She ignored Ron's several attempts to engage her in conversation. After a while Ron leaned back in his seat and let Becky alone with her thoughts. He waited for his cell phone to ring, having asked his secretary to call him and hang up after he answered. The secretary knew that the Congressman often did this if he wanted to cut a meeting short or if he wanted to impress someone or give them the idea that he was working on their problem.
The cell phone rang and Ron pushed the button to answer it, " Hello, yes this is Ron."
He heard the cell phone go dead, "Sure I guess so. I'm going to be there with a guest going over some things for the next session of Congress. As long as you don't bother me I won't bother you. Sure I'll see you later today."
Ron pushed the off button and turned to Becky, "That was one of the executives of Sun Environmental. They want to hold a meeting at the cabin later today. They rent the cabin quite often for meetings. They'll stay out of our way."
He saw that she was disturbed by this, "Don't worry, they don't even know you. You won't even know they're there. They have a lot of work to do and so do we. Just be pleasant and let them go about their business."
Becky turned back to the window and looked out at the clouds drifting below them. Ron smiled. All three of the Sun executives knew who she was and they knew that she was going to know them better after tonight. Ron had called the chairman of the board and told him what was going on and invited him up to the cabin to meet Becky. The chairman told Ron that he was going to bring two other executives and that he would make sure that everyone played out the situation so that Ron would be in the clear. This would help pay Sun Environmental back for the numbered bank account in the Cook Islands Bank.
Neither of them talked for the rest of the flight and the plane started to land at the regional airport close to the cabin. Ron kept a car at the airport for when he flew to the cabin. The car was registered to a fictitious company and never caused any questions to be asked.
After Ron and Becky got off of the airplane and walked toward Ron's car they heard the airplane startup and begin to leave the airport. Becky looked at him with a question on her face and he assured her that the plane would pick them up the day after tomorrow.
Ron stopped at a nice restaurant on the drive to the cabin and they ate dinner. Ron ordered a bottle of wine. As they ate he made sure that her glass was always full. He kept his own glass full but didn't drink anywhere near as much as she did.
After the dinner they continued the drive to the cabin. Becky was very quiet. She responded to any question that Ron asked with brief answers but she didn't initiate any conversation on her own. When they reached the cabin she seemed to brighten a little but she was still very quiet.
When Ron showed her the bedroom that she would use she seemed a bit relieved with the knowledge that she would have a bedroom to herself and that Ron didn't expect anything from her. After she had put her bag in the bedroom and came back into the living room Ron handed her a drink.
"No, I don't want anymore," she said.
"Go ahead it will relax you and help keep your mind off of you troubles."
She took the drink and began to sip it. Ron busied himself around the cabin getting the place aired out and ready for his guests. He made sure that her drink was always full.
Becky kept sipping at the drinks that Ron kept handing her wondering how she was ever going to live down the episode in the hotel room. She knew that it was almost impossible to ensure that none of the men would talk about it. The drinks helped ease her worries about it.
About an hour after Ron and Becky arrived at the cabin the three executives of Sun Environmental pulled in front of the cabin and walked in, carrying their bags and bags of groceries. After introducing Becky to everybody Ron suggested that they all have a drink. He led them to the living room and two of the men sat on the sofa, one on each side of her. The five of them talked for a long time and she wondered when the men were going to start their meeting. She began to get a bit uncomfortable because it seemed that one or the other of the men sitting next to her was always either touching her leg or he had his arm around her.
The drinks were getting her high but she was still uncomfortable around all of the men. She decided to get up and tell Ron that she wanted to go to bed. She got off of the sofa and fell right back down. She grinned sheepishly because she didn't realize that she had had so much to drink.
She got up and turned to Ron, "I think that I'm going in to bed. I think I've overdone it again. Goodnight everybody."
Becky went into the bedroom and Put on her nightgown and crawled into bed. As she lay in the bed she realized that she had way too much to drink. She was not a big drinker but the rape of the night before was making her drink more than usual to dull the pain she felt deep inside of her.
Out in the living room the men continued to talk for a while. They began to get louder.
The chairman of Sun stood up, "Well as ranking member here I guess I go first."
Several of the men laughed and made comments as he walked toward the bedroom where Becky was. As he opened her door he turned and waved to the men and gave them a wink. After he closed the door the men laughed and raised their glasses in a toast.
Shortly they heard Becky saying, "No. Please I don't want to. Please. No."
They heard a loud thump and then they heard muffled sounds coming from the bedroom. The men began discussing who was next. When the chairman came out of the room with a big grin on his face one of the men stood up and asserted his right to go next. For the next several hours there was always one of the Sun executives with Becky. Ron didn't hear her voice after the one time she had told the first man no.
Just before midnight he men stopped going into the bedroom, mainly because they were getting so drunk that they lost their desire to have another go at Becky. They fell asleep on the sofa and any chair that they happened to be sitting in.
Ron got up and look at the sleeping men and decided to go to bed himself. He looked in on Becky and saw that she was lying on her side. She was quiet but he couldn't tell if she was asleep or not. When he called out to her she didn't answer. Ron closed the door and went into his room. After he was in bed he listened for any sounds from Becky's room. Several times he thought he heard a sob for her side of the wall but when he continued to listen he didn't hear her again.
In the morning the Ron and the men woke up and ate a quick breakfast. Becky had not come out of the bedroom and one of the men made a comment that they had tired her out. He told them that he wanted another go at her and started toward the bedroom. Ron stopped him and told them that they should let Becky wake up first and get something to eat.
The three executives decided to go for a walk down to the lake and then hike through the woods. Ron watched them walk away from the cabin. As he watched them go he heard something behind him. Becky had walked into the room and was sitting on the sofa. She had a red mark on the side of her face where one of the men had apparently smacked her.
She glared at him, "How could you do such a thing to me? How could you?"
He held up his hand, "Wait a minute. I never told you to do anything. This was not my idea. You're the one that let them into your bedroom. All you had to do was tell them no."
She continued to glare, "I did, and they forced me anyway."
Ron went over and sat next to her, "Look Becky you should have insisted that they leave the bedroom. I guess they thought that you were just trying to be hard to get."
"I want to go home," she said tersely.
"Sure. When they get back we'll leave."
"No," she snapped, "I want to go now. Right now."
"OK," he said, "I'll leave them a note to lock the cabin up and we'll drive back in the car."
Becky stood up and went into the bedroom and got dressed. Ron saw the men coming back to the cabin and he ran out and warned them to stay away from the cabin until after he and Becky left. He told them that it would be best if Becky didn't talk to them this morning.
Becky came out of the bedroom dressed and ready to go. Ron took her bag and walked out to the car with Becky following a couple of feet behind. He started to open the door for her but she opened the door herself and got into the car and stared straight ahead.
On the three-hour drive back to town, Becky didn't say a word. Whenever Ron talked to her or asked a question she kept silent. When he asked if she was hungry she tersely told him no.
As they neared the city limits Ron pulled over to the side of the road and turned to Becky, "Look, I think that it's best that we go to a hotel and give you a chance to collect yourself for a while. I think that we should talk."
"No," she snapped, "Take me back to the airport so that we can get my car."
"Becky you can't go home with that red mark on your face. You know that your father will question you and he'll eventually get what happened out of you. You know that he won't let it lie. He'll try to find out the men's name and then the papers will find out about it and... these things have a habit of growing until it consumes everyone involved. If there's a trial everyone in the state will know about it. I'm sure you don't want that. Now let's go to a hotel and we'll discuss this and work something out."
"I'm not going to sleep with you," she said softly.
"I'm not going to ask you to. You just need time to think and relax and I need time to work on getting those pictures."
From the look on her face he saw that she had put the pictures in the back of her mind until he had reminded her of them. He continued to drive to a hotel that he often used. He knew that they would bend over backwards to keep the fact that he was staying there a secret. He checked in, leaving her in the car until he had checked out the room.
They walked up the back stairs to avoid being seen and he opened the door of the room while she waited in the stairway. When he was sure that there was no one coming he made a motion for her to hurry to the room. They ducked into the room without being seen.
Once they were in the room Becky went into the bathroom and Ron heard her lock the door. After a while he heard her crying softly. He waited for her to cry herself out and she came out of the bedroom after being in the bathroom for about twenty minutes. She walked into the living room and sat looking out of the window without saying a word.
Ron was about to say something to her when his cell phone went off. He looked at the caller ID and saw that it was the black assemblyman, Wiley Simmons. Simmons had visions of becoming a Congressman and Ron had long ago agreed to support him when Ron moved up. In return Simmons helped deliver the black vote for Ron Blaine. Simmons was one of the few, outside of Blaine's office, that had Ron's cell phone number.
"How's it going Wiley?" Ron said as he answered the phone.
Simmons wanted to meet with Ron about getting one of his black constituents a job in Washington. Ron agreed to help out all he could and they talked for a while just chewing the fat. Wiley asked if Ron would be free for dinner and Ron agreed to have dinner with him and gave Wiley the room number of the hotel. Ron figured that he would ask Becky to have dinner with them if she wanted to.
When Ron hung up he saw Becky looking at him, "That was Wiley Simmons. He wants me to do a favor for him. He wants us to go to dinner tonight. It would be good for you to get out for a while."
"Do I have to screw him too," she snapped.
"Come on Becky. I had nothing to do with those guys in my campaign suite. I was downstairs when all of that was going on. As for last night, I never told those guys to come into your room. You should have been more forceful about making them get out of your room."
Becky turned back toward the window and began to stare out into the city. Ron tried to talk to her several times but she just ignored him. He got up and walked around the room trying to figure out how to calm her down. He began to think that maybe if she had some time alone to think things out she would come around.
"Look Becky, I have to go and see how my people are making out with those pictures. I want to get this put behind us. I'll be back in a couple of hours and we'll go to dinner with Wiley and relax. Why don't you just relax in a tub of hot water and just put the past couple of days behind you. It's time to move on. I told you that I'll make sure that this gets a tight lid put on it and I am going to make sure that it disappears. Now make sure that you don't answer the phone and I'll be back in a couple of hours."
Becky didn't answer him and he turned and picked up his jacket and cell phone and walked out of the door. He made sure that no one was in the hall, then headed for the back stairs and left the hotel without being seen. He was beginning to worry about Becky. She wasn't coming around like he thought that she would. He would have to be a bit more insistent with her. Maybe if he came up with a few more photos she would be more appreciative.
Blaine went shopping for some shirts and was recognized often by people in the mall. Many people wanted to talk to him and tell him what they thought was wrong with Washington. What should have been a one hour trip turned into a four hour, exhausting chore.
Ron finally made it back to his car and put the packages in his trunk. He didn't want Becky to think that he was shopping when he was supposed to be fixing her problems.
The ride back to the hotel was uneventful until he pulled into the parking garage. He noticed a lot of police cars and an ambulance in front of the hotel and wondered if someone had hurt them self in the pool area. He knew that the pool didn't have a lifeguard. The hotel had signs up warning people to swim at their own risk.
Ron parked in the garage and walked up the back stairs. As he neared his floor he heard noises coming from the hallway. He opened the stairway fire door and stepped into the hall. He saw that the hall was filled with policemen and reporters. One of the reporters saw him and called out his name. Several of the policemen ran toward him and grabbed his arms.
"Are you Congressman Ron Blaine?" the Sergeant asked in a gruff voice.
"Yes I am," Ron answered, "What's going on?"
The Sergeant began to read Ron his rights, "You have the right to remain silent..."
Several times Ron tried to interrupt the policeman to find out what was wrong. The steady drone of the Sergeant reading his rights continued. Reporters ran toward them firing questions so fast and loud that he couldn't understand them. The Sergeant finished reading Ron his rights and grabbed his arms and put handcuffs on him. The Sergeant ordered the policemen to take Ron to the hotel room and they shoved him toward the room with the reporters running behind them screaming questions. The only words Ron could make out were drugs, rape and payoffs.
The Sergeant pushed Ron into the room, shutting the door to keep the reporters out and then pushed Ron toward the bathroom. When Ron looked at the tub he saw Becky lying nude in the tub. She has slashed her wrists and the water in the tub was as red as her blood. Her eyes were still open and a medical person was attempting to make sure that she was dead. He looked up and shook his head, indicating that she was dead.
"What happened?" Ron said visibly shaken.
A detective walked over to Ron holding a piece of paper, "Ms Sampson left a suicide note telling how you gave her the date rape drug and had her raped by several men. She knew the name of one of the men; he was one of your campaign people. We've already talked to him and he's telling everything he knows and has given us the names of everybody involved. Ms. Sampson also told how you got her drunk and made her have sex with three men from Sun Environmental Services. We have the Feds talking to them right now and they're rolling over on you about the payoffs and the rape. Congressman you're under arrest for rape, having a controlled dangerous substance... we'll think of a lot more when we get done questioning everybody."
Ron started to say something when he heard a voice behind him, "Don't say anything Ron."
Ron turned to see his lawyer approaching, "I was in police headquarters when I heard the call."
Ron looked at his lawyer, "What happened? When did she do this?"
"Ron, apparently she cut her wrists and called her father to apologize for shaming him just before she lost consciousness. She passed out before she could tell him where she was. It took too long to find her. She was dead when they found her. Now Ron don't say anything. They're going to take you downtown and book you. Just keep your mouth shut."
The Sergeant made a motion for the police to take Ron out of the room. They marched Ron down the hall with the reporters shoving microphones in his face and screaming questions at him. Ron was in a daze and little of what was going on around him registered. He didn't even remember riding on the elevator. He saw the police car door open and he was shoved into the police car in the back seat. He saw that there were no door handles on the doors so there was no way he could open the doors from the inside. The car slowly began to make its way through the crowd. People were shaking their fists at the police car and a few spit on the window next to him.
After the police car got up to speed and the crowd had been left
behind the policeman driving the car looked in the rearview mirror,
"Damn, Congressman. You fucked up big time. I'll bet the Governor makes
sure that your social calendar is kept full once you reach prison
upstate. I sure wouldn't want to be you."
