Chapter 2

I led Casey and one of her friends in the back door of the church Herb dragged us to every Sunday. I knew it would be unlocked, because this was the door Herb used to get in. Her friend was another knockout blonde, but wasn't in the same class as Casey, Aaron and Barbara Christy was a detective on the local police force, and Casey had called her, just to cover our asses in case someone saw us sneaking into the church.

"Are you sure about this, Casey? A church seems like an unlikely place to find a pedophile," Christy said.

I looked at her in disbelief. "You're kidding right? Or are you Catholic?"

She looked insulted. "What does my being Catholic have to do with it?"

Casey was chuckling. "Do you two mind? I'm sure he's not deaf. Let's find this asshole and get this over with."

It didn't take long to find Herb and Little Carol in the same room I almost caught them in before. Herb was happily pumping away into little Carol, who was moaning in pleasure. I held the camera up and started taping while Christy drew her gun and pushed the door open.

"Back away from the girl, sir. You are under arrest..." Christy did her thing, and I taped all of it. She called in for back-up, which arrived so quickly it smelled of prearrangement. Herb was read his rights and put into a patrol car. Little Carol burst into tears and tried to hide in a corner. It was heartbreaking. I made sure to film the girl trying to hide, and all the tears.

Christy gave Casey a hug and thanked her for the tip, before turning to me and asking for the tape. I asked her to make a copy for my mother's attorney. She agreed, and would also make sure any parts showing the girl's identity, or her nude body, was blurred out. She also said she would provide a written statement describing the arrest and the circumstances surrounding it.

She turned back to Casey; "So, how about we get together this weekend and we can celebrate?"

"I'd like to Chris, but I'm kinda in love with someone; really in love - with a whole lot of lust mixed in," Casey answered.

"Really? Who's the lucky girl?" Christy asked.

"He isn't a girl, he's a man. I've known him for a couple of years, but we just recently got together. He's really something special," Casey replied, grinning as I blushed.

"Oh, I have to meet this guy. If there's a man that can convince you to go back to men, he must really be something. I haven't met him yet have I?" Christy asked.

Casey was trying hard not to laugh. "Actually you have. But I'm afraid you might be a little mad when I tell you; he's a bit younger then me."

Christy looked at her former lover sharply. "How much younger? Please don't make me arrest you, sweetheart."

"Relax Christy, he's legal, if only barely," Casey said, and Christy narrowed her cobalt blue eyes at me.

I put my wrists together and said, "Guilty as charged, officer. I guess you caught me."

Christy looked like she was about to go for her cuffs, then busted out laughing. "Oh, you had me going with that one! I almost believed a goddess like you would fall for a teenage dweeb like him!" she laughed.

All the mirth was gone from Casey's face now. "Christy, this is not a joke. I love Jon with all my heart; I have for years. He's been the only man I could trust to even let in my house for Christ sakes! Now, apologize to him or you can forget about our friendship. I thought you where a nicer person than this. I'm actually ashamed I told Jon you were my friend."

Christy stopped laughing long enough to look at Casey's face to see if she were serious. Casey took my hand and stared at her friend.

"Oh shit, Casey! He's so young! You can't be serious. How old is he, sixteen?" Christy asked.

Casey almost glared at Christy. "I told you he was legal, he turned seventeen last month. However, he's a lot more mature than a lot of adults I know. In fact, the age difference between us is less then the one between you and me. Now, if you'll excuse us, detective, we need to get home." She turned her back on the stunned woman as we started walking back to her car.

"Casey! Wait! I'm sorry, please don't leave like this," Christy said.

Casey was mad, but she held her temper as we stopped. She took a deep breath before turning around. "Why? So you can insult the man I hope to marry someday? So you can mock me for finally finding someone that loves me for me? You don't have the faintest idea what he's like, because if you did, you'd sure as hell understand!"

Christy hung her head in defeat. She looked up at me and said, "Jon, I'm sorry I said those things about you. I should have trusted that Casey knows what she's doing instead of thinking it was a joke. She's right; I don't know you, but I would like to get to know you better."

"I don't really care what you say about me, Christy, but you hurt Casey a lot. Please don't ever do that again, or you will be arresting me, for assaulting a police officer. I'll forgive you when Casey does," I said.

Christy immediately went back on the defensive. "So, you'd hit a woman?"

I grinned without mirth. "Not the way you're thinking, no. But I would have slapped you. How would you feel if someone you loved and trusted insulted your new boyfriend or girlfriend?"

Christy nodded. "I'll never have a boyfriend, Jon, but I'd have slapped them and not given them the chance to apologize." She turned to Casey; "I'm sorry I hurt you too. It was thoughtless and I had no right to criticize you for something like this. I'd like the opportunity to make it up to you, by inviting you both to dinner Saturday evening, my treat."

Casey looked up at me to see if I wanted to go, and I nodded. She turned back to Christy, "Okay, I'd like you to get to know him better. I'm sure you'll change your mind about us."

Christy gave Casey and me a small smile. "Thank you. I'll call you to let you know the details." She turned and walked away.

Casey snorted and chuckled as we started to walk back to her car.

"Something funny?" I asked.

"Yeah, that lezbo is going to come on to you in a big way Saturday night. She will do everything in her power to get you into bed with her," Casey replied.

"That is funny; she doesn't stand a chance, she's not even in the same league as you."

Casey beamed a smile up at me and snuggled into my arm. "That's not what I was chuckling about, but thank you for the compliment. I was chuckling because I think it would be funny to see her face the next morning. As far as I know, she's never even been with a man before. You would definitely open her eyes."

I shook my head. "Sorry Princess; even with your permission, it just wouldn't happen. I'm not even remotely attracted to her."

"Really? I always thought she was very pretty. Not like Aaron of course, no one's that beautiful, but I still thought her very attractive," Casey admitted.

"You're wrong, love," I said, and she looked at me funny. "You are as beautiful as Aaron. The two of you are absolute goddesses."

"What about Mom, er, Barbara?" she asked.

"Mom is very pretty, and her other qualities make her very attractive as well, but you and Aaron are the prettiest. I don't mean that as a cut to Mom, I only meant that she is different," I said, trying to find the right words.

Casey smiled tenderly. "I know what you meant, but don't ever say what you just did to her face. It would really hurt her."

"I know. I just don't know how to put my thoughts and feeling into words very well," I admitted. "I don't have very much experience with girls."

"You're doing pretty well so far. Let's go home, love."
