The next few weeks were just life, work, and our special times together. On a Friday morning, Sue came up to me on the patio and said, "You better go back to the bedroom. Your new lady is sick."
I was out of the chair instantly, heading to the big bedroom. Mercy and Juanita were sitting on the bed looking toward the bathroom. I could hear Kathy gagging as if she had been throwing up.
"What's the matter, Honey, did you eat something that didn't agree with you?"
That comment brought some giggles from behind me. I glanced at them and they looked down as if they were guilty of something. I took a washcloth and wet it then covered her forehead, cooling her off.
Kathy looked up at me and said, "Well, so much for being careful. You're going to be a dad again. I can tell you for sure, none of the boys ever made me sick but Barb nearly killed me for a month. Hope you wanted another daughter."
I looked behind me and saw three smiling faces. I had to ask, "Are you sure? Are you sure it's not something you ate?"
"I should have swallowed instead, that's for sure. That's the only time we've not been careful. You only got a little in me and the rest was all over both of us. No sir, this is the real McCoy. We'll get a test kit, but I missed my period and now I'm probably about, ah, what is it, six weeks?"
Kathy turned and hugged me, "I'm sorry, Steve, I didn't mean to get pregnant. With all the kids that are already coming, this is going to be too much."
I pulled back from Kathy, "Hardly, now it's a baker's dozen plus one. We'll have fourteen. That should just about be a record, even with three ladies. Your kids are going to be mad at me though for doing this to you. I'm sorry, Kathy, I should have been tougher with you and pulled out faster."
"Oh no, you don't. It was feeling so good that I was sorry I let you out at all. It was our first time back together. It's only fitting that the last time we were together we made a baby, and the first time back together we made another. This time I will get fixed. This is the last. I'm glad I'm going to have another baby with Sue and Mercy. We'll all have babies at the same time. This will be fun."
I helped Kathy up and she brushed her teeth and gargled, saying the only way to keep from throwing up was to eat something. Then every time she felt it coming on she had to eat a little. She asked that we stock up on some Seven-Up for her as that seemed to help before.
Sue and Mercy were standing in the doorway, rubbing their growing bellies. Mercy said, "Come on, Dad, we better watch you or you're going to knock up the entire park."
Sue followed with, "Let's see, all at once we're going to have Mercy's three, my two, Kate's, and now a couple of months or so later, Kathy's little girl."
Mercy said, "I'm having a boy and two girls. Steve is already calling yours twin boys, Kate's hoping for a girl and so far the ultrasound agrees, and now Kathy says it's going to be a girl. We'll have six little boys and four little girls besides Kathy's other three boys and a girl. This is going to be expensive."
As soon as I went out onto the patio, Bessie asked, "Is Kathy okay? Did she eat something bad?"
Kathy came out and gave her Mom a hug and said, "Remember how sick Barb made me?"
"Oh no, Kathy, tell me it isn't so. Are you really?"
"Yes, Mom, really. I missed my period, but I thought it was because of all the excitement. Steve isn't even mad. He's smiling and figuring out that he's going to have six little boys and four little girls running around here besides my older ones. There's just too many to count."
Sue came out and said, "I guess we should be making some donations to Women's hospital."
I said thinking of all the time we were going to be spending there, "We won't have to, we'll be their best customer this year."
"You know," I said, thinking about the number of kids, "before Kathy told us that we were going to have another, I was already counting thirteen and thought this would be fourteen,. How was I making that mistake?"
Juanita said, "You're not making a mistake. It's easy Steve, if you count Kate's little one. He may be theirs, but the baby is still yours, that will be fifteen."
Bessie and Kathy looked at me harshly, with Kathy saying, "With all the ladies you have, you're catting around?"
Sue said, "It's not like that, Kathy, Kate and Jim can't have any more and Kate asked Steve to help her with another. She says she may want one or two more after this."
"And you're okay with this?" Kathy asked.
"It's a long story, Kathy, but suffice it to say that Kate was invited to be a part of us. Once she was pregnant, she was able to put her marriage back together. So far they are working out. I'll tell you all about it later."
Kathy had a thoughtful look, "I guess it's okay, but how many kids are you going to have there, Stud, before you decide to clip that thing."
Mercy said, "Not until Kate has all she wants, then if he wants to, he can. Sue and I know where they come from and we will both probably get fixed. I just hate to do that because you never know when you might want another."
Kathy said, "Yeah, I know. I had thought about getting fixed when Barb came, then again when Greg came. As you can see, I didn't and should now definitely plan on it. So Sue and Mercy, I assume you have a good gynecologist?"
"We do, Kathy, and we'll take you to see her as soon as we can get an appointment," Sue said. "You may need some special vitamins since you've had multiple births. She gave Mercy and me some different ones this time because we've had babies before."
Soon, everyone that had been within hearing distance of the exchanges were smiling and teasing me for knocking up half the park, or at least some of the good looking women from the patio.
Later that day, Sue and Kathy did the test and sure enough, the blue line showed that another baby was on the way. They made an appointment for Kathy to get examined and bought the requested Seven-Up. Now every time you would see Kathy, she would have some crackers and a can of Seven-up.
As a result of this new announcement, I gathered my ladies together to discuss our future. I had cleared this with Ben already, so I stated something to all the ladies as a group.
"I wish for Mercy, Juanita, and Kathy to legally change your last name to Sharp." They all looked up at me quickly, but I held my hand up to keep them quiet for a minute longer.
The way I would wish it to be done would be your full name as it is today with Sharp as the last name. This way you will never lose the name identity you originally had. I think Sue should change her name to add Phillips before Sharp as well. For you Kathy, if your kids would want, I would be proud if they were to add my name to theirs.
I was attacked. Four ladies came at me, hugging and kissing me, knocking me to my back, with them piled on top. Kathy said, "I wondered how you were going to do that. It's a pretty sneaky way to gather all of your women and family even closer. Now I'll really have three sisters, even if we are wives. This is the craziest poly group ever."
Sue said, "I had wanted to keep the Phillips name as I want it to live on, even though there isn't a boy to keep it going. This is just as good. We can do this."
Juanita was out and out crying, near sobbing, "It is so beautiful to have your name and my Manuel's name as well. This is the most you could ever give me, my Steve."
Mercy just smiled ever so sweetly, "Thank you for giving me your name. Our babies have your name and will have your name, but I needed mine to be the same too. Thank you, I love you."
Weekends are always nice. This one was nice as Sue and I took the kids up in small planes on Saturday. We lucked out and were able to get our 172 and another one, so we had room for J.J., Carl, and Barb with me, while Ben, Dennis, and Tina rode with Sue. We flew out over the beaches, checked out the sharks, flew by the yacht club then over to Zephyr Hills to watch the skydivers. On the way back, Sue decided we needed to go down to Sarasota-Manatee airport for an ice cream as they have the best around, right in the private aircraft terminal.
When we got back, Kathy asked if she could go up for a while, so we went back to the airport with Carl and Bessie and did about the same circuit, except we didn't go down to Sarasota. We flew up to Panama City and back along the coast, seeing lots of boaters and tons of rays in the water.
Sunday, Kevin brought out his corvette. This was the first time he had it on the road and he was in a panic over it possibly getting a rock chip, or even worse, into an accident. The car was gorgeous, but it wouldn't be any fun to own if you didn't drive it.
Sandy and Mandy had finished their panel truck. They had chopped the top giving the truck an awesome rake. The front windshield was only about six inches so the slope of it was steep. They had small — narrow front wheels and huge wide racing tires on the back. The truck was mostly flames, but mingled within the flames were characters from Shawna and Hank that were either funny or near xxx rated. The truck even had a title, "The Andies' Candy Wagon."
It didn't take long for the new families to become an important part of our little society. The big kids made life fun as they were so busy. Each had some form of hobby that made them unique. The best part was their part in taking care of the little ones. The four older kids played outside with the six middle kids, and played inside and on the patio with Sean, Lizzy, and Mike.
Those three were little devils. They were very mischievous and always into something they shouldn't be. When they disobeyed, the punishment we found that was the most severe was to sit them in three separate corners, in different rooms, then put them in separate play areas. They hated that the most. You knew how close they were at nap time. They always insisted on a single pillow and the three would lie down together and sleep like that. In the evening, when Sean went home, there was always some crying because Lizzy and Mike didn't want Sean to go and Sean didn't want to leave the other two.
Just when Kathy was showing, and Mercy, Sue, Hanna, Debbie, and Deanne were getting pretty big, Tiny held a Friday party for us in honor of Star. The announcement came from him, "Tonight is to honor Star and the tremendous effort she has given to market our special homemade tools, the new book, and for her production of Phil's and Judy's seminars. It's hard to believe that we've been able to continue our productivity with Phil and Judy so busy away from home, but then they have trained good replacements."
"Star now has forty-four tools in manufacturing and being marketed in various industry magazines. She has published our first book that has an even one hundred tools that were deemed good, but not necessarily marketable. So far the book is selling like crazy. The forty-four tools are selling well enough that we are working on a plant in the back of the park to manufacture these tools locally.
"Now, the part that everyone wants to know about. This department is showing one hell of a profit, even while paying fees to the tool creators and some handsome fees to our two entertainers giving the seminars. This profit goes right into our 401K plan. Steve has set aside the profits from this department to benefit our plan exclusively." Lots of cheering and applause.
Star has selected the next twenty-five tools to be manufactured and marketed, and has the one hundred tools for the next book. Our sales leaders, Phil and Judy can rest though, as Star has put together a seminar on DVDs and CDs, along with workbooks and other materials the viewer would normally get if they attended the seminar in person. So now we have Phil's sales seminar and Judy's customer service seminar ready to be shipped. The advertising goes into industry magazines this coming month and they will also be sold at the seminars Phil and Judy will give. They have cut down the amount of seminars to ten each for the coming year. They figure that it will be easy to fill that many as we will be going back over some heavy populated areas."
"So let's give it to Star, she has earned all of our praise and in honor of that, Star is now the Vice President in charge of special tools and promotions. She has four people in her department right now, and will be adding several more as she will be in charge of the new plant. Star, I toast you and your success."
Star was standing with Tiny and took the microphone when he handed it to her. Tears were streaming down her face, but since she had not been wearing makeup, they were just big tear stains.
"This is a shock. Thank you, Tiny, Thank you, Steve, and thank you all for helping me gather the information for all of the products. I know I was pushy and disruptive, but the only way to market these things is with you being videotaped using the tool and then again making it. These images, as you've seen, are used in our advertising and it gives the buyers authenticity of the tool. Most of them slap their foreheads then say, "I could have made that." But they didn't, and that's why you are on the patent and you are making some extra money. So, thank you all for helping me. I'm going to continue to be a pain in the butt, but it will be all for us. I didn't know that Steve put all our profits into our plan. That just makes my job more important. Thank you all."
I wanted to say something to everyone, so I went up to get a hug from Star, then took the microphone. "There is some news from our plant in Ireland. A lucky leprechaun has invaded the new plant there and produced orders that effectively sells more than we have forecast to be produced for this entire year. Since most of the customers would prefer not to wait so long for product, we have contracted to double the size of the plant which I'm told will triple our production. I'm not sure how all that works, but that's why we have really smart people designing our plants."
"Our R&D group has some interesting developments. They have licensed Sony's polyester battery technology in an attempt to develop better batteries for our forklifts and transportation carts. Some of their new batteries are in a passenger van that we use to bring some wheelchair workers to the park every day. So far, everything is working well. They have added some new polyester solar panels to the top of the van to extend its range. It isn't totally self-renewable so far, but they are working on it. I'm told the new solar panels are able to use even cloudy sunlight to gather some energy. Who knows, perhaps we will be onto something."
"For this last thing, I want you to listen closely, as it is important for all of the folks in all of our companies. For anyone that does not own their own home yet, please look into one of our homes, condos, or duplex units. All of our employees are eligible for a very low interest loan at a price that is far below market. The only request we have is that you do not reveal or broadcast your purchase price or the terms of your mortgage. When these properties are sold out, we may not do any more developments for a while because land values and construction costs have skyrocketed. This would be good for us, but probably bad for those who purchase at a high price. Keep in mind the cost of the monthly mortgage payment will include your property taxes and homeowners insurance. The county does the appraising, so your company cannot do anything about the tax amount. For those who wish to own their own home, look into it now."
There was kind of a hush over the crowd as many were thinking about whether they should buy now or not.
Charlie, Tiny's dad, asked for the microphone. "With the expansion on the north side of the park, the strip of land that we purchased goes back past the lake and includes a great deal of property back there. Steve will probably agree to open it up for more mobile homes. We will be establishing spaces for both single and double wide homes back there. Services should be available by the end of May. Those who might wish to live out here with us, please consider your discount for a lot right here in our own utopia."
The rest of the evening was full of questions about what kind of special deals we were giving for the properties and the mortgages. I could only refer them to the sales organization, where a special real estate group was handling the sales.
When most everyone had left for home, I was out on the patio with Glenda and Martin, Abe and Alice, Charlie and Shawna, Sue, Mercy, Juanita, and Kathy. As we were having a last beer, I looked at my four ladies and gesturing toward the three couples sitting with us, "You know these are people I started out with here. Without them, I would never have met the rest of you, and I would never have started a business here."
Glenda said, "You sure have given Martin and me a wonderful time since then. I'm glad you and I began having coffee together."
Martin took up where she left off, "From the beginning, Steve, you shared a beer with Glenda and Abe and Alice and me. You were always watching out for us."
Charlie commented, "You made yourself a reputation when you went out to Pop's and welded those cases, then you showed up at Del's. I didn't know whether you were going be a customer or a friend, but you turned out to be more like family."
Shawna said, "When Charlie and I bought Kathy's trailer, we were able to luck out and pay for it all at once. But since then, the company has made us so much money, we have a fat bank account and security that we never thought we would have. Hank and I are making so much painting cars, trucks, boats, and planes that we now have to limit how much we work accept so we don't take away from our families."
"I've been the luckiest of all of you," I said, with a smile of satisfaction. "When I met Kathy, she made me realize that I had missed out on having a relationship. When she left, Denise came along for a few days, then I met Sue, the new love of my life. I still don't have a clue how I luckily ended up with the four of you, but now that I have, my life is pretty complete. I think everyone here right now, plus several that are not here, have created a wonderful life for all of us."
We were all sitting back, smiling at our own inner thoughts. J.J came out to the patio, and since there was a little space on the couch where I was sitting, sat down beside me. He was smiling as he put his head back on the couch and closed his eyes. "Dad, where are we going to put six more babies?"
That choked me up to hear him call me Dad. Sue, Mercy, Juanita, Shawna, Glenda, and Alice caught it, while Kathy had big tears rolling down her cheeks. Sue was smiling, "We'll just do some rearranging, J.J. There will be plenty of room."
J.J. said, "I thought we had a big family when there were just four of us kids, then Greg came so Barb wasn't the little one anymore. Then we all get Stevie, Mike, and Liz, plus now six more are coming. I'm really going to have a big family."
I put my arm over J.J.'s shoulder, "You sure do, Son, you sure do. Since you're the oldest, you have to watch out for all of them and keep me up to date on what's going on around here."
J.J. looked exasperated, "I can't keep up with all of them now, how will I keep up with all of them when they are all running around?"
Kathy patted J.J.'s leg, "You'll have Carl, Ben, and Barbara to help you. You'll just have to work out how you four can do it."
Soon everyone decided it was time for bed, so it was as if a bell rang, we all got up, those who had to go home left, and my family finished cleaning the patio then we went in, locked up, and went to bed.
In bed, Sue said, "Tomorrow, we are going to find out if we can get a bigger bed made. I think it needs to be at least two feet wider and possibly four."
Kathy said, "With all of our big bellies right now, four foot larger would be good. I think what we also need to decide is how we are going to limit future babies. Fourteen should be enough."
Juanita said, "I wish I could have given us a couple more, but I feel like all the babies, and now even Greg, are mine. I didn't carry them, but I get to mother all of them."
Kathy held Juanita to her and rocked back and forth a second. "Juanita, I would never believe I would be here with three other women enjoying sharing a relationship with one man, but you give three of us a different perspective of life and caring. You give your love to all of us so generously that it makes us love you that much more."
Juanita smiled and stretched out, lying back on the bed. Kathy lay on her side next to Juanita, propping up her head with one hand and smoothing her other palm over Juanita's smooth brown skin. "I didn't think I could get so excited over another lady, but the three of you have me wanting all of you constantly. There's something about you guys that just makes me quiver inside.
Mercy snuggled up to Kathy's back and hugged her, as Sue got on the other side of Juanita and joined Kathy in caressing her.
My ladies didn't even need me. They were totally engrossed in loving each other until Mercy looked at me, lay on her back with her legs spread and wiggled her finger to me to come.
Just like the dog that I am, I dove in.
We slept all snuggled together.
A couple of months later, on hot Sunday afternoon, Sue and Mercy were propped up in beach chairs, watching our children playing in sand. Kathy was showing pretty good and our friends Debbie, Hannah, and Deanne were waddling in that cute very pregnant woman walk. The entire patio group had decided to go to the beach for a play day. Kathy's big kids were having a great time and the group of our larger small kids were digging and attempting to build something resembling a castle. The three smallest were busy filling one bucket with sand then dumping it out and giggling and once again begin to fill it back up.
Charlie and Shawna were trying to help with the castle making, but there were too many small hands that kept knocking down the formed towers. The scene was very relaxed, very comfortable.
Deanne, who was trying to keep from getting sunburnt, was lying back in a chair under a big umbrella. She had been squirming around and was acting pretty uncomfortable. Finally she said, "Darnell, Honey, can we go home. I don't feel right. This kid is pushing on all of the wrong places. Let's go home."
The other women began helping them get their stuff together, when Hannah let out a loud groan. "Oh shit, that was a contraction. Whew, a big one too. Jim, we better head back, get the kid and let's get."
My women, recognizing that their friends were having trouble, began stirring with the intention of helping, then joining the girls getting home.
Debbie had been sitting on the side of her lounger, putting things into her carryall, when she lay back moaning. "I think whatever Hannah has is catching. That was a big one. Come on, Hank, let's pack up and get."
I went to get J.J., Carl, Ben, and Barb as they would be a help getting and keeping the little ones heading toward the cars. J.J., Dennis, and Tina took charge and soon had all of our kids carrying their toys, heading toward the parking lot.
Darnell was acting nervous and said to me quietly, "Deanne isn't acting right. I hope there's nothing the matter. I'm going to take her straight to the hospital so they can examine her."
"Good idea, Darnell, it looks like Hannah and Debbie are on their way too."
It was a good thing Glenda, Martin, Maggie, Carl, and Bessie were with us, as it was fairly easy to get all our stuff back to the cars. We loaded up and left. Darnell was going straight to Women's hospital, while Debbie and Hannah wanted to go home first to shower. They thought they would have plenty of time as they were not having regular contractions.
On the way home, Darnell called on his cell phone to tell us Deanne's water broke and she was having regular contractions now. While Darnell took the road toward the hospital, the rest of us went north toward the park.
At home, my girls headed straight for the showers so they could get cleaned up to help with the other girls as necessary. The people at the park that didn't go to beach with us recognized our hurry, and soon the excitement level was way up. Of course, the little ones sense that sort of thing and were going bonkers, running wild. Thank goodness the older kids took it upon themselves to keep the little ones corralled on the patio and in the house.
Jim and Hannah came over to drop Mia off before heading toward the hospital. Jim had a stiff drink to settle himself down and said, that is going to have to last for a while.
Next, Debbie and Hank brought Robbie over so they could go to the hospital. Debbie advised everyone her water had broken and she was having regular, although small, contractions. Hank chugged a beer then waved goodbye.
Beth came into the patio, and I was about to ask what she was out here for, when Susan came in heading toward the kitchen. I checked the kitchen to find most of the women huddled, making some kind of plan.
I could see this evening could become long and tiring, so I went to the bedroom and showered quickly, putting on clothes I could accompany my ladies in.
When I came out, Sue motioned for me to join the group and she said, "Mom, Susan, Nancy, and Maggie are going to watch all the kids. Tina and Dennis are going to stay to help too. We are heading to the hospital, I want to be sure to be there when Deanne's, Hannah's, and Debbie's babies get here."
As we were going out to get into the car, a Pizza Hut guy came, carrying a large stack of boxes. At least everyone was going to eat. I grabbed a box at random, not really caring what kind it was, I just needed food.
Our park was good at having more than one lady give birth at a time, but three at once would be a record. At the hospital, we found Jim and Hank in the waiting room. They said that Debbie and Hannah were being prepped. The doctors had examined both of the women and had quickly admitted them.
First a nurse came for Hank to go into a birthing room, then another nurse came for Jim. We all wished them luck. I went out to the desk to find out how Deanne was doing and was advised she was in a birthing room but had not delivered yet.
We settled down in the waiting area where they had coffee, soft drinks, and vending machines. It was funny to see Sue and Mercy bulging with babies, plus tall, slim Kathy's stomach pouched out, obviously pregnant, while we waited on three of our ladies to let us know they had brought another baby to our world.
Debbie was first, as Hank stuck his head out the door and said loudly, "Boy."
A little while later, Jim came out smiling and gently said, "We have a son."
He said he had been shooed out as they were getting ready to take Hannah up to a room. Hank came out telling us the same thing. The two dads shook each other's hands both saying, "Boy."
Darnell came out to the waiting area and was shocked to see all of us. "What are you guys doing here?"
Sue said, "We came to make sure all our new babies were taken care of. How's Deanne doing?"
"She's not dilating. The doc said that if she doesn't open up, she's going to take the baby. I'm real nervous and Deanne's not acting right. I hope they will be okay."
"We're right here with you, Darnell, remember that," Sue said, giving him a hug.
"Deanne wants a Mountain Dew, so I used that as an excuse to get out of there for a minute. She's really nervous about this. I better get the soda and go back."
Juanita had already gotten a can of Mountain Dew and handed it to Darnell. He looked at it as if had been magic, then snapped out of it and went back. Hannah and Debbie were both wheeled out of the birthing rooms heading toward their regular rooms. They both waved at us. Juanita and Kathy followed them so they would know what rooms they would be in.
While we waited on Deanne, we kept making trips up to see Debbie and Hannah. They had insisted on a ward room with four beds so the three ladies could all be together.
That evening, about eleven, Deanne finally gave birth. Darnell said that one minute the doc was saying she was going to take the baby, then the next she was catching it as Deanne pushed out another boy. Poor Darnell, he looked like he had been through the wringer.
Once upstairs, they wouldn't let any of us into the room as it was too late. Darnell told us later that Debbie and Hannah were both sleeping, and that he had watched as Deanne nursed her new son for the first time.
We left the hospital and congregated on the patio, toasting the new dads. We had three new boys for our menagerie. The place was going to be busy. Sue said she was going to get a bunch of bassinets for all the little ones.
Mercy figured she would be first, with Sue a close second. Kate's baby would be next, then a month or so later, Kathy.
And that is just about the way it went. The exception was Sue went into labor early and would have beaten Mercy, if Mercy had not decided to spontaneously burst her three out. Sue was about two weeks early and Mercy was about two weeks late, and we were once again at the hospital for multiple births. Their double room was full with five bassinets. Amazingly, none of the babies needed the incubator or any special care. Mercy immediately said that she needed another breast. All three wanted to eat at once.
Kate's baby came early on a Monday morning while she was at her new job as daycare supervisor, welcoming kids for the day. In an hour her water broke, she was transported to the hospital, and she gave birth to a girl she named Carla.
The last of the group to produce a kid was Kathy. Right smack on the selected due date, she woke up feeling like today was the day. She took a shower and dressed, ready to head to the hospital. She gave instructions to all her kids then I drove her there. By ten in the morning, Kathy was holding our new daughter. It was all no muss, no fuss, go in the birthing room, give birth, then up to the care room. The only people with us were Shawna, Glenda, and Juanita. All the others were going crazy at home with all the other kids.
So, wanna know what Mercy's three were named? Mercy had them all thought out, but had to wait till they were born to assign the individual names. The girls were named Trixie and Dixie, and the boy was plain old Tom. He did get the whole thing though, as his full name on the birth certificate is Tom Steven Merlin Sharp. Missy was almost upset, but Merlin was strutting around like a king.
Sue named her twin boys, Daniel and Manuel. The Manuel was after Juanita's late husband. So we now have a Danny and Manny. Beth and Ben were absolute pests, as Danny's full name was Daniel Benjamin Sharp, and Manny's full name was Manuel Phillip.
Kathy and Mercy formed a special relationship during the little ones' early months. When Kathy nursed her little Bonita, she usually nursed Tom, while Mercy nursed Trixie and Dixie, and Sue nursed Danny and Manny. If you want to see something out of this world, just picture these three women nursing six babies at once. There is no way the girls could have handled all these kids without Missy, Beth, Susan, Maggie, Glenda, and Nancy. Most evenings found Hannah, Debbie, and Deanne with their babies on the couches with Sue, Mercy, and Kathy on another. I couldn't help wonder what this group was going to be like as they grew up. We could only hope they were as close as the other groups of kids.
I started this tale single, on vacation, enjoying a little leisure in an old time Florida trailer park, and just a few years later I have four ladies that look to me as their man, with fourteen kids that do, or will, call me dad. Instead of living off some savings, I have been lucky enough to become successful beyond my wildest dreams. I had no expectations, but others pushed me to fulfill our mutual destinies. Petty cool isn't it?
Well, that's the way it was, or is, or something like that. If I get
a chance to breathe around all these women and kids, I'll try to write
down some more of the vacation adventures of Steve Sharp another time.
