Day Eight - Monday
Waking up with Kathy is a dream come true. Once again she was sliding gently up and down my cock. This time I was on my back and she was sitting astride me going up and down slowly with her head back, her mouth open, breathing slowly. Her pussy was getting tighter and tighter until she doubled over putting her hand on either side of head, panting, looking into my eyes.
"Finish me, get on top and finish me," Kathy demanded.
I rolled us over then with Kathy's feet on my butt I pounded her while holding my mouth to hers until my juice shooter was dry.
I collapsed on top of her, both of us kissing each other's face until I lifted my weight off her while still connected intimately.
"Whew!" Kathy exclaimed, "what a way to wake up." She wrapped her arms and legs around me and laid us down sideways. "You want seconds since your little red headed buddy won't be by this morning. She has to go to work."
I laughed, "you're not jealous are you?"
"No, just envious that she got some more and I didn't."
"I think you beat her after last night, don't you think?"
Kathy hugged me tightly, "you're amazing. There's no way we're meant for long term but you understand me so well and you get along with everyone."
"Should I hurry and leave? What about the kids."
"You don't have to leave but I do have to get them up," Kathy lamented. "I have to get them ready to go back to school. Spring break is over and they will have to catch the bus in a little over an hour."
"Let me get out here then. I have several little jobs to do today. I'll see you later, okay?"
We kissed and I dressed and slipped out of the house. I made coffee then breakfast. I would have rather eaten outside but I didn't have a table. I would have to look for some nice patio furniture with a table. The patio was big enough, about fifteen feet wide and thirty feet long, big enough for lots of outside stuff.
I went next door and asked Glenda if I could borrow her Yellow Pages. I looked up the addresses for a couple welding supply shops. I figured that I could probably get a good hood and some goggles there. I didn't like using old hoods as it was tough to see well. I also wanted a better pair of gloves, ones with real high gauntlets plus wanted a big leather apron like I used on the platforms. My new jeans already had burn spots on them where sparks had landed and burnt through so I needed some coveralls too.
Driving to the supply house was interesting as I gawked at everything along the way plus saw an outdoor furniture store that looked interesting. At the welding supply house I found the items I wanted and put them on my credit card. I still had a lot of cash on me but I wasn't sure when I would be able to replenish it. I could write a check but I'd rather write one check for all my different purchases.
The guys at the supply house were helpful. They gave me leads on where to buy blanks and other materials.
While there I looked at their bulletin board. There were several fliers for hiring welders. One even for the company I was working for. One flier caught my eye. It was for an auction of a company that had a lot of equipment. The auction started this afternoon. I pulled the flier down and went out to my truck.
I drove around till I found the place where the auction was going to be. There were already several cars and pickups there with people milling around looking at the equipment that was going to be for sale. I parked and joined the lookers.
There was a lot of newer, very nice equipment that was going to be for sale today. I watched the other folks who were looking at stuff to note none of them were even pausing at the welding equipment. This could be good for what I thought I might want.
At the auctioneer's table I registered then gave them my credit card so they could check the balance I could spend. It was really high because of my savings and what I had been my pay. I took my number then walked across the street to have lunch in a little Spanish restaurant. I had my favorite of yellow rice, black beans and pulled pork.
At one o'clock the auctioneer started off with office equipment and furniture. Then he went into the shop and began selling the big drills, brakes, lathes and other tool and die equipment. When he finished with that, he passed the corner where all the welding equipment was and went outside where there was a ton of raw material in blanks and such. While he was selling this stuff, one of his workers were bringing out tools from the tool room so he would sell off some stock then sell a selection of tools.
He sold all that stuff then a couple of beat up pickups and a couple of cars. By this time there were only a few people left. We went back into the shop where he finished selling off most of the stuff from the tool room. More people left.
Finally, he set up by the welding equipment and started selling off the old junk. The few people who were there were paying what I thought was way too much for the old stuff so I thought I might be out of luck to get any good deals on what I liked.
He finally put up an item I wanted. The machine would be worth somewhere around three hundred. I let some guy in a fancy shirt and slacks make a bid of fifty bucks and listened while the auctioneer was trying to get the price up by another hundred dollars. He kept on till he was down to asking for another twenty-five when I raised my card and hollered, "and ten."
The guy in the slacks shrugged his shoulder and waved his hand like he didn't want any part of it. The auctioneer kept on till he finally pointed at me and said, "sold for sixty dollars."
He sold some more old equipment till he came to what looked like a brand new or at least nearly new gas kit on wheels, complete with wire feed and all the toys. This was probably worth seven or eight hundred. The new price had to be about fifteen hundred.
The slacks guy bid a hundred. The auctioneer begged for more for a while until I finally raised my card and bid one twenty-five. The auctioneer immediately went for two and the slacks guy raised his card. Back pointing at me, the auctioneer was trying to get me to go three. I finally said, "and a quarter."
We went back and forth till the slacks guy finally was getting with the program and bidding twenty-five at a time. When I bid five hundred after a long beg from the auctioneer, the slacks guy stared at me long and hard. He turned his back and walked to the door. What a deal to buy this for five hundred bucks.
The last piece of equipment I was interested in was a new tig machine. When no one bid on it, I offered fifty. Amazingly what I had figured I would pay about five hundred for went for fifty.
The helper had brought a stack of supplies from the supply room. All kinds of rods, wire, hoods, goggles, different size wands. There was probably two or three grand worth of goodies included. That got me excited. When no one bid after working down from a thousand, the auctioneer pointed at me and just paused. I shrugged my shoulders then said, "hundred." He didn't even wait. He just said sold.
"Finally," the auctioneer said, "we have something that didn't get sold earlier. The bankruptcy court said it should be worth more but after watching what just happened if this last hour, the man said to sell it."
The helper ran outside and drove in a one ton dual wheel diesel truck with a custom box tool bed. On the truck was what looked like every kind of welding apparatus known to man.
I poked around and looked into the bins at all the supplies. There were hardly any scratches in the bed. There were chains and rope plus the back pulled out on rollers for a welding table with clamps and vices mounted on it. There were only eleven hundred miles on the thing.
I had no idea how much something like this would be worth, probably over thirty or forty, thousand maybe even more.
The auctioneer started waving around a handful of papers. "I have here the receipts for the truck, and the custom bed. This package was purchased new just one month ago for eighty-three thousand dollars. Now I know the bed isn't worth a lot to many of you but the truck has to be worth at least twenty-five. Now you can bid a fair price and get the whole rig.
I liked that term, "rig."
The slacks guy had come back and immediately bid ten grand. Another guy with white shoes that must have just shown up bid eleven. Those two got the truck up to fourteen before Mr. white shoes lost interest. Slacks was standing at fourteen while the auctioneer was asking for everything from fifteen to twenty-five. I finally raised my hand and said fourteen and a half. Slacks looked at me and actually looked sick. He said fifteen and a little later I said and a half. At seventeen thousand, the slacks guy looked green, turned around and walked out the door. No one else wanted to bid as the auctioneer kept trying to get more. He looked over at a guy in a suit. The suit nodded grimly and auctioneer pointed at me, "sold to the long hared gentleman who knows a real bargain."
Shit, now I had more junk than I could put in the pickup plus I had to get the truck out of here.
The auctioneer told me to back my truck up to the door and his helpers would load me up while he processed my purchases. The pickup was full and then the big truck was full. I asked the auctioneer how long they were going to be there and he said till about eight. It was almost three thirty so I needed to find a storage place pretty quick.
I was talking to one of the helpers and asked him if he knew the area. He said he did. I asked about storage buildings between here and up by where the park was. He told me about one that was less than a mile from the park. I told him that I would drive up and dump off every thing then come back for the rest.
He went over to the auctioneer and spoke with him then came back, "I'm done here, if you want my buddy and I can lead you up to the storage place then help you unload. When we're done, you bring us back then we'll load up anything else there is and you can pay us off then. That was a good deal so we took off. I rented a garage type storage area plus a space to park the big truck. We unloaded both trucks and when we parked the big truck, the one helper got in a bin and pulled out this huge tarp and pulled it over the truck. It was a custom cover for the whole rig.
We drove back to the shop and loaded up the last of what I had purchased including the really nice gas cart. The auctioneer and the lawyer type guy were going over stuff. Another guy who must have been the landlord for the building was bitching about several items that were still there along with an old huge flatbed truck outside. The lawyer type was shaking his head. The auctioneer waved at me and said, "Tell you what, you clean out this place and sweep it with those brooms over there, you can have anything else that's here plus that old truck outside. Want it all?"
"Hang on," I said and went out to catch the two helpers.
I told them I would pay them to help me move the rest of the stuff and sweep out the joint plus an extra hundred each. They didn't even hesitate but were right back inside hauling stuff out. I took a minute and got a receipt and title for the old truck.
We backed the big truck into the building and found some stake sides for it leaning against the walls. There was a bunch of older welding equipment plus a ton of small hand tools and some small motors of various types. It took a winch to get two big gas mobile generators up on the truck but we got 'em up there. We swept out the building and were done to everyone's satisfaction. I had the two guys pull their car out of the gate then I drove my pickup while one of them drove the big truck.
At the storage building, I decided to rent another garage next to the one I had then we unloaded everything we had. They had a forklift so we were able to get the generators off. It all fit in the garages with some room to get around. When the guys wanted to know where I wanted to park the big truck I asked them the magic question, "what do want another two hundred dollars apiece or would you rather have that truck."
They looked at each other and smiled, then one of them asked, "you're kidding right?"
"Nope, I'm not. I'll give it to you guys jointly or I'll give it to one of you for two hundred and pay the other guy his two bills."
"They looked at each other again and said, "tell you what. I can use the truck real bad so just sign it over to me and I'll give my brother here the difference."
I can do that so I just handed him the title and we shook hands. They were getting ready to leave when the one who talked the most and was taking the truck said, "you gonna use that new truck to come over and weld those frames for Hap?"
When I gaped at him he smiled, "you're the one who came out Saturday night. I saw you with Jake's ole' lady. Too bad about Jake, did you know him?"
"No, I didn't and that's my loss," I said. "Kathy and I are just real good friends. We seem to enjoy each other's company."
"Well you're hanging out with another good guy. That would be Charlie. If you keep company like that, you're all right. I got to get this guy back to the palace cause he's a prospect. He has duty tonight so we have to get going. Thanks for the deal on the truck. I'll be seeing you soon."
"Tell you what," I said. "Hap was going to make a deal with Pop to use his stuff so tell Hap that I bought some equipment and will drop by to fix what he needs. The only thing that would be nice would be some shade when I do the work."
"No problem," he said. "We have some of those tents with no sides just for what you're gonna do. Besides you have a fourteen by fourteen shade cover in the big truck."
They guys left so I took another inventory of all the stuff I had and tried to figure out how I was going to sell off most of it. I figured I could put some fliers in the welding supply shop and I could get Abe to help me go over the small motors and the big mobile generators.
Wow! I spent over twenty grand today. I was going to have to check on my checking and savings to see if I could cover the credit card bill without dipping into my Fidelity fund. I had no idea how much was in my savings. I thought I had only about seventeen in the checking but I had planned on using that for the vacation. That was supposed to last me at the rate of five hundred a month. I guess I'll just need to charge more for the work I did.
Back home I unloaded my new gas cart and my new hood, smocks, and gloves. I also unloaded the two machinist tool chests full of hand tools and sockets. Everything fit in the storage shed for the evening.
After a shower and clean clothes I went out onto the patio with a cold one. Martin came over and joined me followed soon after by Glenda. We heard a roar then both Charlie and Shawna came. I was passing out beer and then I began telling them about my day.
I didn't tell them everything, just about some of the newer equipment I was able to almost steal. Charlie was excited as he said I would be able to make a ton doing specialized stuff. He and Shawna both promised to get me all the business I could handle.
I said that I was starved and thought I might ride into town to find someplace to eat, maybe seafood. Charlie said let's go to Shells. It was great food and is perfect for what we were wearing. Martin and Glenda said they were going too. I thought for a second then went across the street to ask Kathy. She and the kids had not eaten yet and said they would come to if I were buying. Charlie and I rode, while Martin and Glenda rode with Kathy and the kids.
Shells was neat. They had large picnic tables that everyone ate at. The food was served in giant bowls so everyone was going to get enough to eat, even Charlie. The kids each split an order. I had some kind of pasta with shrimp that was delicious. We all had a couple of beers then sat back to relax.
Glenda offered to drive the kids back and put them to bed if Kathy and I wanted to go out. I told them that they could drive the kids back if Kathy wanted to ride with me but that I was not going out tonight. I was done. Charlie agreed and said he had been partying enough.
Little Barb was whispering in her Mom's ear then they turned to me and Kathy asked, "Barbara wants to ride on your motorcycle back home. Would you feel comfortable doing that?"
"Sure if it's okay with you. The only helmet I have is that extra half shell pea pod."
"That'll work. If you were to get hit, it would help anyway," Kathy said.
Charlie announced that Shawna was riding back in the van too as J.J. was going to ride with Charlie.
Charlie and I were cautious getting out on Dale Mabry with the kids on the back but we were able to take Bearss Ave across to Florida then open it up a little before we got to the park. We noisily rode into the park for the benefit of the kids then shut down at our houses. Kathy got there with the van then had all the kids go inside. She asked me if I was coming over later. Her request was kind of weak, kind of obligatory so I said I needed a full nights sleep as I had a big day tomorrow.
Kathy gave me a big hug and kiss saying, "you always seem to know exactly how I'm feeling. I think my monthly monthlies are here and I'm not feeling all that perfect. Thanks Steve for being the way you are."
I told her that us sleeping together had nothing to do with sex if that's what we wanted and to never feel bad about it either way.
Martin and Glenda shared a last beer with me on the patio before I went in and watched my TV for the first time. I fell asleep on the couch with the TV on.
