Chapter 4: Getting to Know the Neighbors

Posted: October 10, 2007 - 08:34:30 am

Life seems to go through peaks and valleys. Mine was doing the same. Monday morning found me back at work.

"What's the matter, couldn't stand it? Thought I told you to take two weeks vacation. Geez you just don't get it do you. There is more to life than this job." Jeff couldn't quit banging on me about the vacations.

" I had to come back boss, I need to be busy besides I need to do some bragging." I said enthusiastically. "You have to see my new place and where it's located. You're gonna shit when you find out."

This got his interest. "Okay, I'll bite. Just where is this new place of yours."

"Would you believe Wilson Country Club?" I said with my chest puffed up.

"No way you live on the grounds." Jeff stated. "That place is so exclusive you have to have government clearance to just talk about it."

"So how about coming out to the house say Saturday morning around six and I'll take you golfing on that oh so exclusive course." I stated warily. "But then, you may not pass the security clearance. Oh well."

I ducked a pencil thrown my way and laughed all the way to my cube. I checked up on my email then looked at all the projects that I had been working on. Almost everything was stalemated, waiting for somebody else to do something. Just about the time I was closing down everything, thinking of lunch. Jeff poked his head into my cube.

"Wanna do lunch?" He asked.

"Sure, lets do it." I said rising to go at the same time.

We went to Vera's Lunch Counter and both of ordered one of her magnificent roast beef subs with provolone, horse radish sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and of course halopenias. We sat in a booth and began devouring our subs chasing the toxic peppers with cold iced tea.

"Are you telling me the truth?" Jeff asked.

"About what?" I returned.

"You know, about a golf game at Wilson?" Jeff asked again.

"Yes sir. Saturday morning, you'll be our forth. You'll have to ride a cart for this. You can only walk Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday." I answered.

"You really bought a house on Wilson Country Club?" Jeff asked again astonished.

"Yes sir. Found a lady that needed to sell her house quickly. We made a deal and I moved in last Tuesday. Great place. I'll try to have you and Jill over for dinner soon." I said smirking a little.

"Geez," Jeff exclaimed. "I live in Pearlcrest, one of the most exclusive country club subdivisions around and it doesn't hold a candle to Wilson and its traditions. The mystic alone has got to be worth a couple of hundred grand much less one of those mansions out there."

"No big deal Jeff." I answered. "I live in the poor section of Wilson. Not the main country club area. My block is on the opposite side of the golf course, on the other side of the woods. A nice neighborhood but considered the poor area of town."

"Poor area?" Jeff asked. "No where near Wilson Country Club is poor. I'm obviously paying you way to much for you to live out there."

"Actually Jeff," I continued. "You will be surprised when you see the front of my house. It looks to be the smallest house on the block. Like I said. Come out Saturday morning and I'll show you the house after our golf game."

"You're on buddy. I can't wait. I gotta see what kind of roses you fell into." No wonder you won't date or make passes at the girls in the office. You've been saving up for something special for a long time." Jeff said all this with a big smile.

Saturday morning just before six o'clock, Jeff pulled up in front of the house. I opened the front door for him as he approached the door.

"Morning Jeff." I greeted.

"Good morning Chuck. Are you sure this is part of Wilson?" He asked as he came in.

I brought him through the living room into the kitchen and had him seated at the counter. "How do you want your coffee."

"Black is fine." He said.

I did the espresso thing and created his then my coffee and sat across from him at the counter.

"How did you get this place. It sure is bigger than it looks." Jeff asked looking around while sipping his coffee.

"Luck. Found a lady wanting to move to Hawaii and was willing to carry the mortgage for me. I had a decent down payment and she wanted to sell. The rest is history." I said feeling pretty good for myself.

"Man you have done well. This is a nice place."

"Wait till you see the rest. When we get back I'll show you around. You won't believe what I have in the garage. You're gonna shit." I said teasingly.

Giant Jack walked in the back door scaring poor Jeff. "So this is your boss Chuck?" He asked. "Ready to play some golf?"

"Holy smokes you are big." Said Jack.

"Not really." Quipped Jack. "I'm only big in comparison to wimps like Chuck here and Charlie standing outside."

"Okay guys lets go." I said heading toward the door.

Jeff seemed to note all I did was pull the door closed and not lock it. As soon as we went out back a behemoth canine came running. I thought Jack was going to wet himself.

Toy sniffed around Jeff then came up to me and licked my hand then stuck his head under my hand.

"Jack, go get your clubs. Ours are already over there. We'll wait." I said.

Jack got his clubs and we all went through the woods with me telling Toy to go home. As we crossed the fairway Jeff asked. "What was that back there, a dog or what."

Charlie spoke up. "That's Toy our special security around the neighbor hood. He seems to love ole Chucky. No one will mess with Chuck's place as long as Toy is around."

"I've never seen a dog that thick, that big." Said Jeff with wonderment in his voice.

We played our eighteen holes with Jack and Charlie doing their low 90's and me actually breaking a hundred. Jeff surprised us all by doing an awesome eighty, just eight over par. We were all patting Jeff on the back all the way back to the house. Jeff wasn't as surprised when Toy met us on the house side of the woods.

Jack elbowed me to get my attention then pointed toward Charlie's back yard. There lay Alice, Myra and June all face up. All bare as the day they were born. Myra had some large mammarys but June's were bigger and seemingly didn't sag at all to the side. Alice's were huge but their size pulled them to the side but still stuck up large enough to make you have to take a second look. Jack shook his head and Charlie put a finger to his lips so I didn't mention anything to Jeff.

I gave Jeff a complete tour of the house then guided him out to the garage. I stood him in front of the far right door then pushed the button. As the door opened, Jeff gasped. "Where did you get that."

"Came with the place." I said smugly.

"Is it real?" He asked.

"Take a look." I said.

I went into the garage and got into the '57 Bird. I cranked it up and waited for it to oil, put it in drive then let it forwards until it cleared the door.

"Oh man." Jeff exclaimed. "This is a real beauty. Not that your T-Bird isn't nice, but this is magnificent. You really got this as part of the house?"

"Yep. The lady couldn't take it with her so she gave me the Bird, the pickup, and the Taurus. Guess it was a pretty good deal." I said.

"Good deal? Oh my gosh, I guess so. What did you pay for this. It's gotta be close to a half." Jeff gushed.

"Not even close. But it really is part of the deal not to disclose what the deal was." I said trying to avoid the issue.

"Whatever it was, I'm payin' you far to much for you to have all this." Jeff panted. "I don't know whether I can bring my wife out here or not. She will probably throw me out and make a play for you. You know how good looking she is. You could never resist her."

I laughed and said. "Well I'm not to good with women as you've noticed. She would probably snub me on the way by. Anyway, why not come with me this next Monday. I'll take you out to the club for dinner. It's a prime rib special. My treat." I of course didn't mention that it was free to my guests as well as to me.

"We'll be here. Does she need to dress special?" Jeff asked.

"I don't think so, but I'll ask around. Have her call me at the office on Monday." I said.

"This place is awesome. You lucky dog. I'll see you Monday and Monday night too. And hey, thank your friends for letting me play with them today." Jack said as he left through the front door.

I walked Jeff to his car and waved goodbye.

As I walked back to the house I heard, "Hi Chuck."

I turned toward June's house and there was Sunshine sitting on the porch swing gliding back and forth.

"What you up to Sunshine?" I called.

"Just reading." She said still gliding back and forth. Strange how she answered and didn't even look at me.

"See you later Sunshine." I said and waved.

She turned her head to me and seemingly looked at me through her dark glasses and said. "Talk to you later Chuck."

Monday's night out with the boss and his wife went great. Jill, Jeff's wife loved the house. Thought the walk through the woods to the club was great though she almost wet herself when Toy came running up to her then stuck his nose right into her crotch. Toy backed away as soon as I admonished him but Jill was still pretty taken aback by the monster.

The meal was great. Jill probably had one martini to many, along with a couple of glasses of wine to many also. She had a little trouble navigating back to the house but made it even with Toy greeting us on the other side of the woods. I told Jeff that we could use him Saturday for our foursome if he was up for it. He said he would be there and they left.

Life was good. Work was fun. The house was paradise. I worked out at the club every morning at six thirty then back home and to work by eight. My house was thoroughly cleaned every week. My clothes were washed and ironed and back in my closet and drawers. My yard was as near perfect as it could get. And, I had competition on my pool table. Tommy was pretty good. It was nice to have someone to play against at home.

About four months after moving in, I discovered one morning that I was out of coffee. I naturally walked next door to June's and knocked on the back door. Sunshine was in the kitchen when I knocked and called out. "Come in Chuck." I didn't see her look toward the door but went in anyway.

"What's happening Chuck?" Sunshine asked.

"Ran out of coffee Sunshine, can I borrow some till later today. I promise to go to the store to get some." I said.

Sunshine turned to me and said "Sure Chuck, let me get it for you."

I gasped as I looked at Sunshine. She was wearing a beat up old man's shirt that only had one button done up. It would have been fine but it was the bottom button into a middle buttonhole. This caused the shirt to gape open showing some very nice breasts plus it held the front of the shirt up over what should have been panties but were not there, just her fuzzies.

Sunshine took a glass from an over the counter cabinet then filled it with coffee grounds from a large container on the counter. She turned and held this glass out to me smiling. I took the glass still gapping at her breasts and exposed lower area.

"Um Sunshine. Did you know you missed the right button hole on your shirt?" I asked trying to hide my own lower level interest in her appearance.

"Oh darn, I always mess up on men's shirts. Sorry, didn't mean to mess up in front of you." She said this while running her hands down the shirt then unbuttoning the shirt to correct the problem.

Thinking that she would want some privacy, I turned to go. "See you later Sunshine and thanks for the coffee."

"You're welcome Chuck and thanks for telling me about the shirt."

Whew, that girl is stacked. Must be dumber than a box of rocks but wow is she put together.

That afternoon after having gone to the store, I carried the glass filled with coffee back to June's. When I knocked on the back door, June looked up and said, "Hey Chuck, come on in."

"I brought the coffee back I borrowed this morning." I said.

"Sunshine said you borrowed some this morning. She also said you helped her with her shirt. Is that right?" June asked.

"Yes ma'am I did tell her she had missed a button hole." I answered.

"Was she wearing anything else but that old shirt she has?" June queried raising one eyebrow.

"I don't think so June. Seems there wasn't anything else there." I answered a little embarrassed for June.

At that moment Sunshine came into the kitchen. What was surprising was she was nude. Naked. Bare assed. I mean no clothes at all. She came through the door, breast swaying, hips gyrating, hair flying, butt twitching, complete with her sunglasses.

"Chuck, you came back." Sunshine beamed. "Did you bring the coffee glass back?"

"Ah Sunshine honey, you don't have any clothes on sweet heart." June said pleadingly.

"Oh, I forgot Mom, Sorry. Do you mind Chuck. Sometimes I just forget that I'm not wearing anything." Sunshine said as she approached me.

I chokingly said, "No Sunshine, I don't mind but I think your Mom would prefer you were covered up while I'm here."

Sunshine got real close and reached out her hand toward me. She touched my hand then took hold of it. "I'm glad you came back Chuck, I was thinking of you."

June was apoplectic. Sputtering, choking, gasping and trying to stay calm. "Sunshine honey, please go put some clothes on. Please."

Hearing the pleading in her Mother's voice Sunshine dropped my hand and said, "Don't go away Chuck, I'll be right back okay?"

She turned then almost walked into the doorframe but her hand hit first then she turned slightly and went through the door. You could hear her going up the stairs.

"I'm sorry Chuck. Some time she doesn't remember to wear clothes. Since she can't see herself, she doesn't think how others see her." June said wringing her hands.

"She can't see herself?" I asked.

"No" June said matter of fact. "She can't see herself just as she can't see at all."

"She can't see?" I exclaimed. Then equally as dumb, "She's blind?" I asked.

"Yes Chuck, you didn't know?" June answered with a question.

"No one told me. Up till just now I thought she might just be handicapped." I said.

"She's handicapped all right, but not between the ears. She just doesn't pay attention to what she wears. I'm sorry you had to see that."

"I'm not sorry at all June." I said with a grin. "Sunshine is a good looking girl, a gorgeous woman.

"Well I guess it's okay for you to feel that way when Sunshine puts on a display like that." June said a little huffily. "You are a man so I can't be mad that you looked. She really wasn't showing off. I think she was just being Sunshine. She has never enjoyed clothes and is comfortable without them."

"Kinda like sunbathing on Saturday morning?" I said with a smile.

"Oh you saw that, did you. Well, yeah sort of like that. Got an eyefull huh?" June said with a wary grin.

"Sure did and enjoyed every bit of it. You were very nice to see." I bantered back.

"Oh quit it. All three of us are a lot older ladies. To old to be gawked at." She protested.

"Not hardly. Alice the Amazon is a treat, Myra is a dark beauty, you are still young and very becoming dressed as you were." I smiled. "Well I did enjoy the view."

Sunshine banged through the swinging door from inside the house wearing loose shorts and scoop neck polo. She came to the table and leaned on it causing the front of her polo to gap exposing some delicious cleavage.

Sunshine was grinning, "How's this Chuck? Am I decent now Mom?'

"You look nice Sunshine." I said.

"That is better Sunshine." June said. "Chuck may have enjoyed seeing you the way you were but I think you embarrassed him."

"Sorry Chuck, I don't like clothes so if you don't want to see me without clothes, you have to call first." And she was serious.

"Well I have stuff to do so I have to leave. See you all later. Sorry about surprising you Sunshine." I said getting ready to leave.

"You don't have to leave Chuck." Sunshine almost whined. "You could stay a while. How about lunch, want to eat lunch with us? I can make us some sandwiches. Come on, stay for lunch okay?"

I looked over at June and she shrugged her shoulders as if saying 'it's up to you."

"Sounds good Sunshine, let's have lunch." I said.

Sunshine washed her hands then went to the refrigerator and took out some lunchmeat, cheese, lettuce and mayonnaise and put it on the counter. She also took out a Tupperware container and asked June to warm it up for her. Next she lined up six pieces of bread then carefully spread mayonnaise on each piece. She put two pieces of ham, a slice of cheese and some lettuce on every other piece of bread then used the open slice of bread to cover each sandwich. She reached for a large kitchen knife then cut each sandwich in half. Sunshine then opened a cabinet and took out some paper plates and put a sandwich on each one. Next she took out some paper napkins and then from a drawer took out three spoons and three forks and came to the table. She seemed to center herself at the chair where she had been sitting when I first met her then laid the napkins with a spoon and fork at three of the chairs there. Next she turned and brought the three paper plates with sandwiches to the table and placed them fairly centered before each chair. She then turned to the refrigerator again and brought out another container. This time she raised the lid and smelled. With a smile, she shut the refrigerator door then pulled the lid of the container off completely. She went to the silverware drawer again and brought out a big spoon, stuck it in the container then brought it to the table and put it in the center. She turned back to counter and pulled out three bowls from the overhead cabinet.

Sunshine turned toward June and asked, "Is the soup warm yet?"

"Let me dish it out Sunshine. You have a seat and I'll bring the bowls." June said.

Sunshine came to the table and put her hand to my shoulder then moved to the chair next to me and sat. June brought the soup and placed a bowl in front of each of us then sat across from me.

Sunshine was smiling when she said, "Eat up Chuck, Mom's homemade bean soup is really good with a ham sandwich."

Then all of sudden she scooted back and said, "I forgot to get us some tea."

Sunshine got three large glasses, then ice from the refrigerator freezer then poured tea in each glass. She held the glass with a finger just inside the rim and poured tea till it hit her finger. When she was done and the tea jug was back in the refrigerator, she brought the glasses back to the table pausing as her knee hit her chair that had been pulled back. Pretty amazing as she was doing everything by feel.

"Thanks Sunshine. You did a great job putting this all together." I said.

"You're welcome. I can do a lot of things by myself. I've practiced a lot. When Mom is gone I can get my own meals, wash the dishes and clean up pretty good." Sunshine was smiling broadly.

"Sunshine has been taking care of herself for a long time now." June added. "She has even started back to school and is now in her third year at the local state community college."

"What is your degree going to be in Sunshine?" I asked.

"Teaching." Sunshine answered "I want to teach young blind kids. I know I will be good at it. I have already been volunteering at the school for the blind and do well with kids in grade school and high school. When I finish school, I will get a guide dog so I can get around better. Once I have a dog, I will be able to go more places by myself."

"Sounds like you have a plan, Sunshine." Then turning to June, I asked. "If she gets that independent will she move out? Leaving you alone?"

Before June could answer Sunshine said, "No way. I have it to good living at home. Mom helps me and I try to help her. We would both be too lonely without each other."

"She's right." June started. "I would be a basket case without Sunshine. We do a lot of things together. She is easy to take care of and does a lot of the house work here as she knows the place so well."

The back porch door slammed and a lady came bustling through the kitchen door. She was about the same size as June and Sunshine and even looked like them but a little older with graying hair done in highlights to lessen the gray effect. She may have been older but she was very nice looking and still well put together. She was dressed in a knee length skirt and a loose blouse unbuttoned to below her breasts, which were pretty obviously bare. Her older large breasts swayed freely with her rapid entrance.
