I Remember Daddy

This is a short one. It works. I don't want to say too much about it. The narrator recalls how her father took her virginity and what happened afterwards. She was twelve at the time. It works because there is tension in the story. The narrator recalls enjoying it and knowing that it wasn't right to encourage her father. Her father isn't oblivious to the chance he is taking, but he is not the most cautious person in the world. In the end the idea of having sex with his young daughter is just too tempting.

My Brother, My Lover

I've read a number of stories by this author now. Most of them are much shorter than this one, which is just over 50,000 words long.

Some, many long stories are serials. This one is not. In other words it is one long story and not a series of sexual episodes. Yes, there is sex the story, but there is also plot. The main characters, Callie and Nathan Adams, are siblings. She has just graduated from college and is looking for a job. He is older than her and offers to let her stay with him while she tries to find a job and make enough monety support herself. It isn't that her parents don't want her at home; she just wants to get out on her own.

Callie doesn't move in with the intention of seducing her brother and he doesn't make the offer with the intention of seducing his sister. It just happens. I guess the close quarters of a one-bedroom apartment could do that.

OK, so they have fallen for each other and start sleeping together, then what? Well, this is where the story is different from most incest stories that I have read. Instead of sex, sex, and more sex, the author actually tries to deal with the situation realistically. Callie and Nathan aren't the only characters in the story. They have parents (duh!), friends, co-workers, etc.; some of whom find out what is going on and tell others and things start to messy.

I think that is all I should say. I've written enough on this story. It isn't short, but it is worth the read. The ending wraps things up a little too quickly, but not too neatly, for me.

Jared and Amanda: Naked in School

This is another story in the Naked in School series which some of you are possibly familiar with. There is even a web site now dedicated to providing links to all the Naked in School stories by various authors. I remember when the first one came out a couple years ago. I may have written about it, I can't remember.

Anyhow, this one is by an author who apparently has gotten some pretty high marks from some of the readers at ASSTR. I figured I would give it a try. So far so good. It has the usual stuff for a NiS story. Visit the NiS web site for an introduction to the concept, although the words 'naked in school' more or less sum up the basic concept. I'm about half-way through it and haven't finished it yet because I got sidetracked by a couple other stories. That and the fact that it seems to be getting a bit mushy, romantic, etc.

How Could She Sleep (Chapter 2)

I finally got around to reading chapter two of this story. It is about a teenage girl who has fallen for her sister. Her sister feels the same way. Their mother has found out, but has decided (for her own reasons) to let her daughters sleep together if that's what they want to do.

This chapter isn't quite as engaging as the first one. That's what I remember of it. I read it a week or so ago now. There doesn't seem to be quite as much to the plot or characters as there was in chapter one. I guess Pandora's box has been opened and there's no going back, so the characters give in. I don't find this entirely realistic or as entertaining as it might be if they still faced some obstacles, but it got high marks from the bulk of the people who read it and voted on it.
