SUMMARY: Aunt Mattie comes to live with Danny and his parents. In the cramped apartment that they live in, he has to share his bed with her.

COMMENTARY: This story has a very specific feel to it. It doesn't feel generic, but very real. Danny's descriptions of how he sees things and of how he feels seem appropriate for a 15-year-old boy. Some of the terms he uses are not ones that I would use, but the general tone that the story is told in, is one that is very familiar to me.

This story is about desire. Some fantasies are realized by Danny, but the bulk of the story is about longing and pining for Aunt Mattie; someone that is legally off limits to him. I found the ending to be a bit anticlimactic, and not quite as satisfying as the rest of the story. I think that I was expecting something a little less restrained at the end.
