COMMENTARY:
This is a beautifully written story. A fight for love and
glory. No, wait, that was Casablanca. Seriously, this is a very well
written and edited story. There is much more to it than just sex. Don't
get me wrong. There is sex in this story, and it is hot, but you may be
disappointed if you expect it to begin in the first few paragraphs or
pages. In other words, this is much more than just a smut story. Not
there's anything wrong with smut, but if you prefer stories that are
more romantic and less graphic (not that this story doesn't have graphic
moments) then you should enjoy this one.
Should I mention the fact that this is a cross-cultural romance story?
The fact that Billy is Catholic and Lauren is Jewish? I don't have to,
but I am going to because I think that it is a good thing. It adds a
dimension to the story and the author handles the situation quite
nicely. Neither Billy, nor Lauren, nor any of their family members seem
like stereotypes.
