Giving Head - My Commentary

I've read a book of mainstream short stories last week, and I decided to try to write some very short pieces. I'm trying to limit myself to 1000 words or less, although I may relax that up to 1500 if I have to. This is the first story to come out of that experiment.

It's a story about not being able to have everything you want. In fact, if you want something bad enough, beware! You might just get it!

This story wrote itself very quickly, and the first draft was less than 800 words. It took a little rewrite to smooth things out, and it closed out closer to 900 words, so I met my goal! I even managed to squeeze in two sex scenes, sort of, so I'm very proud of myself.

As for the plot, it's a little odd. I've written a couple stories lately about divorced or cheating husbands, which is odd, because I'm not divorced myself, and I've never cheated on my SO. I think I'm becoming interested in humans with flaws. Or maybe I'm afraid my semi-autobiographical pieces are just too damn saccharine for public consumption.

We'll see if I can get interested in a second short piece now.
