This is a follow-on story to Tired of Being the Nice Guy. It stands by itself, but makes a lot more sense if you've read Tired first. If you've recently read Tired, you'll find much of the first chapter to be a review of Day 29, albeit from a different perspective. If this bores you, skim the story up to chapter 1.5.
