After her friends left, Amanda went into Samantha's room. Samantha was like a kid sister, asking all sorts of questions. "What does Kara do?" "Wow, she's a waitress at a fancy restaurant?!!" "She's so cool, I wish I could do that"
Amanda told her that she could meet her friends, but that they might not like her. "They're a very sexy group of gals and don't treat less glamorous girls well," she explained. Samantha promised to try extra hard to look good when they came back after their bar and restaurant jobs got off.
A few hours later, Samantha had outdone herself. Wearing the shortest skirt she owned, along with a daisy-duke blouse, she sat in the living room, waiting for the girls to come back. Her makeup was a little overdone, but not quite as dramatic as the other women would have liked.
Leaving Amanda in the bedroom, I walked past her, pretending not to notice, and said I was leaving. I sat in the kitchen with the lights off, observing.
