Announcing "Lost Boy's Second Other-Worldly Story Competition"
This competition was suggested to me by Topaz.
It is to be set in the "Exotix Bar", where all the non-human types go to drink and tell tall stories (and, I assume, meet human types...)
The story is to have a humourous element and might for example take the form of one bar-fly telling another of some exploit or other.
The genres that I like, of course, are Vampires, Succubi, Faeries, Were-people of various sorts, Carnivorous goo, Mannequinization, Medusae, Euphoric plants, Robots (especially loving companion robots), witches, warlocks, science fiction, fantasy, mind control, drugs, crazy people and so on and so on...
Now, the rules:
- The story is humourous, will have some other-worldly element, and is set in the "Exotix Bar" (but much of the action may occur elsewhere)
- Submissions are to be posted to Lostboy, wendy@lbworlds.net
- Due to a request from an author in dire straits, I have extended the competition!
Stories were to be submitted by 1 April 2004; I've extended the submission date to 14 April 2004
- Copyright will be retained by the author, so it's fine to post the story elsewhere if you wish to do so
- After the competition closes, each author will vote for one story not their own. The story with the most votes will be the winner.
- If there are two or fewer submissions, then everyone is a winner! (or, perhaps, no one...)
- In the case of a tie, Lost Boy will have the casting vote.
- Winners will be announced on or before 30 April, 2004.
- The competition is now open!
