"What can Bruce give you that I cannot?"

"Other men."

"What?"

She raises herself to look in his face. "You want me exclusively. Bruce encourages me to enjoy others, and I do enjoy, for example, you."

"But I love you."

"You enjoy me. You enjoy sunlight and the breeze, too, without exclusivity."

"And if I don't come back?"
