It was my honor (?) <G> to judge the write club duel between
Katie McN and Hecate tonight.
Both stories were great, and you will enjoy both of them when they
are posted on ASSM. Katie's is called "Paris Love Story",
and Hecate's is called "Of Frying Pans and Fires". They're
both great stories.
We had three "story elements" that each of them had to include
in their story. I'll discuss those in a minute, for those of you who
want to know the winner, but don't want to know the story elements
in advance of reading the stories.
And the envelope please......................
.......the winner.......is Hecate!
I liked both stories, a lot, but I thought Hecate used the story elements
better. I also liked the plot of Hecate's better. Katie's is *hot*,
it made my monitor melt <G> but, overall, I liked Hecate's just
a wee bit better.
Here were the story elements that each had to include, one was picked
by each of the two participants, and myself.
Hecate's theme: Two women who are both con artists. They have a D/s
relationship. The Domme likes to tease the sub by getting her off
in public. They have a problem--*someone* had discovered their latest
con.
Katie's theme: "Two young women meet and it's instant lust. Even
though they have never done anything like this before, they find themselves
in bed before the first date."
Frank's theme: One of the young women is married. As the story begins:
the other young woman does not know this. The woman's husband does
not know about the relationship between the two women. He also does
not know about the cons.
Hecate really nailed all three. In three hours. Great job <G>
Read both the stories, you'll love 'em. It was my pleasure to
read them. And, remember, I am *not* an international Ice Dance judge,
so booing is not necessary <G>
