           Hi Everybody,

I'm Katie McN and I decided to have a web page just like the other authors. Well, not every author has a web site, but a lot of them do and I think it's way cool.

First off, I'm a Texas country girl at heart and wear jeans all the time, if I'm wearing anything at all. I read a lot of romance books and noticed that the authors usually have a glam shot of themselves on the back cover of their books. I figure that's what us lady authors have to do, so I put mine on the top of the page. A fan created what you see above and shocked me as much as anyone when he showed me what he could do with a little touch up and art work. There are more pictures of me on the home page. I slipped a picture of Mallory into the group you'll find there. I hope she doesn't mind.

Let me tell you something about me . . .

I was Born in Texas a little more than 30 years ago. I'm a third generation member of an oil business family and was raised in the country for the most part. The family was five boys and me, plus dad and mom. I bet you're not surprised to learn that my formative interests were Junior Rodeo Barrel Racing, skinny dipping and fighting.

My first "all the way" sex experience was with the son of one of the ranch hands. Did it out of curiosity, more than anything else. All us kids watched the animals getting it on and we figured that we'd be doing the same sort of thing at some point. I just didn't know the details and got curious, I guess. Well, it hurt and was boring at the same time. I lost interest for awhile after that experience.

I had my first relationship with a girl when we were both 14. (Hmmm, seems like I read that story someplace - A Letter to Vanessa.) Wow, much better than the last paragraph. Funny thing, though, I didn't realize at the time that FF was an option. Weird, huh? I found out over time that it was the same for a lot of lesbians.

Well, from Middle School on, I pretty much got it on with anyone who seemed interesting. Sorry that you ASS authors and readers weren't there. You all would of gotten lucky more than likely!

I went to High School in a small Texas town, just like one of my story characters. I put out for my Biology Teacher (once) so I wouldn't have to dissect a frog. I learned blackmail around the same time. So, when he came back for seconds, I explained I was on my way to the principal's office. Got an A in that class and didn't feel down trodden about any of it. I laughed my ass off, in fact. (Little clocks on his boxer shorts, damn.)

After high school graduation, I went to a University out west and got a degree in math. You can't use that for much, so I moved to Los Angeles and got an MBA. Without even knowing how I did it, I got into computers and been doing stuff with them ever since. Very cool.

During college, I made some spending money as a nude model for the school Art Department and for some artists who lived in the neighborhood. That's how I met Zella. She let me know that it was okay to be a lesbian. I didn't realize she fell in love with me until much later. I still talk with her and will be writing her story at some point in the future.

I met Vanessa in college and we lived together during our Senior Year. We moved to LA after graduation. She got an MFA and is a teacher and fabulous artist. She's living in Colorado now. I bet the people who like her art would be surprised to know that she put herself through school as a lap dancer. She got me to give it a try. We also tried the job where we got paid for having sex. For awhile, I thought all rich guys were fat, bald and had bad attitudes.

We lived together in the Laurel Canyon area of LA for awhile, if you know where that is. We had a lot of fun and stayed in love for a long while until we finally grew apart when our careers got in the way. It was mostly wonderful, a lot of fun, and a little bit sad near the end. I plan on writing more about this part of my life so be on the look-out.

I met Mallory right after I broke up with Vanessa. At first I thought my interest was nothing more than a rebound effect, but finally discovered that she was the most wonderful, loving woman I've could ever want to be with. I was working in the film business in those days and she owned her own company. We had everything and then she got sick and, after three years, she died.

After Mallory died, I fell apart. She was sick for so long that her business wasn't worth much. The rest of our assets went to pay off her hospital bills. By then my mother disowned me for being a lesbian so I was on my own with few resources and a sadness that clouded my mind. I try to talk a little bit about this in my story Mallory.

Drugs are easy to come by in Los Angeles and it didn't take me long to start using to avoid facing up to my loss. I knew I was screwing up and decided that I had to get as far away as I could from the problem so I moved to Florida. It seems my problems came with me. My drug habit got worse and I got back into lap dancing as a way to support it. It's hard to work while loaded so I tried other things to make quick cash including nudie modeling, video work and pay for play sex.

I got lucky and heard about a rehab where a person stayed for a least three months and learned how to overcome the problems. I found out a lot of things including the fact that I have a serious mental illness that I'd been able to hide for most of my life except when I was under stress. I started on medication then and have been taking stuff since then. I have to upgrade from time to time. I also learned, like many who take meds for mental problems, that stopping the meds without telling anyone is a losing strategy (See my latest story, Lap Dancer, for information on this part of my life.)

The rehab conducted a group session where some of the people came from the community. This gave us rehabs a chance to see how we could mix with the regular folks. I met a person in the group who I call JPenguin or Paul. He is my best friend and did more to help me with my problems than anyone. When I was eligible to leave, he offered to let me stay with him "until I got on my feet". I've been here for several years and he won't let me leave, not that I'd want to of course. He even let me move a girlfriend, Lexi, in for awhile and has helped me get my own little computer business going. He helped me get started with writing and showed me a lot of the fun things a person could do with the Internet.

Just like most of the authors, I don't really know why I can't stop writing and want to get better so I can write the story that's just our of reach. I love the fan attention of course, but that's not all of it. Well, maybe I'll figure it out some day.

I've received more than 5,000 fan e-mail since I posted my first story and still love getting them. I try to personally answer each one as soon as I can. I would love to hear from you so why don't you drop me a line when you get a chance. Tell me what you think about my stories or maybe you could suggest a topic for a new story.

Love,

Katie McN
