Names, peoples and places in the world of the Warrior Women
The Heartland The war-torn continent where the adventures of the warrior women take place
Tilnon An aggressive kingdom, located on the Heartland's southern coast, with ambitions to subdue all other nations
Sorkin The largest kingdom of the Heartland and chief rival of Tilnon
Pari A huge, untamed territory coveted by Sorkin and Tilnon, both of which regularly attempt to conquer it
The Barbarians A loose confederation of tribes in the mountains of Pari, allied to Tilnon and sworn enemies of Sorkin
The Three Vixens Collective nickname given to a trio of fierce barbarian warrior women: Chekhu, Keelam and Sharmoon
Orcs Savage, goblin-like creatures whose warbands terrorise the wilder regions of the Heartland
Elves An ancient but dwindling people whose lives are largely unconcerned with the wars of other races. Two species of the elven race dwell in the Heartland. The secretive Wood Elves inhabit the great forests and are rarely encountered by travellers. Their estranged kin, the Dark Elves, are cave-dwelling brigands who trade in slaves and loot. They are feared by all other races and are hated as much as orcs, with whom they are often allied.
Dwarves Secretive mountain dwellers, somewhat shorter than humans but generally more hardy and strong
Skinnylegs Nickname given by dwarves to humans
Zerl Islands Archipeligo off the Heartland's southern coast and a key battleground in the rivalry between Sorkin and Tilnon
Hardcloth Tough fabric, usually dyed blue, worn by soldiers of Sorkin as a cheap alternative to leather or chainmail
