Names, peoples and places in the world of the Warrior Women

The Heartland   The war-torn continent where the adventures of the warrior women take place

Tilnon    An aggressive kingdom, located on the Heartland's southern coast, with ambitions to subdue all other nations

Sorkin    The largest kingdom of the Heartland and chief rival of Tilnon

Pari    A huge, untamed territory coveted by Sorkin and Tilnon, both of which regularly attempt to conquer it

The Barbarians    A loose confederation of tribes in the mountains of Pari, allied to Tilnon and sworn enemies of Sorkin

The Three Vixens    Collective nickname given to a trio of fierce barbarian warrior women: Chekhu, Keelam and Sharmoon

Orcs    Savage, goblin-like creatures whose warbands terrorise the wilder regions of the Heartland

Elves    An ancient but dwindling people whose lives are largely unconcerned with the wars of other races. Two species of the elven race dwell in the Heartland. They are feared by all other races and are hated as much as orcs, with whom they are often allied.

Dwarves    Secretive mountain dwellers, somewhat shorter than humans but generally more hardy and strong

Skinnylegs    Nickname given by dwarves to humans

Zerl Islands    Archipeligo off the Heartland's southern coast and a key battleground in the rivalry between Sorkin and Tilnon

Hardcloth    Tough fabric, usually dyed blue, worn by soldiers of Sorkin as a cheap alternative to leather or chainmail
