A lesbian is a girl who feels attracted to girls more than boys. All girls feel attracted to girls sometimes, but a lesbian feels especially interested in the female of the species. Some people may not approve of women being lesbians, but more and more every day lesbians are accepted as a part of society. Gay marriage is already legal in many western countries, and in several states. And there are plenty of options for lesbians that want to experience motherhood also. And more and more, laws are being drafted that protect gays and lesbians from discrimination. That is very encouraging for young girls deciding their path in the world. Things are more difficult whenever lesbian relationships could be termed incestuous or abusive, though.

But don't be fooled. Lesbianism is not a perversion. Neither is polyamory. Neither is incest or pedophilia per se. Nor are these taboos sins in the eyes of God. If you want to be a good person you only need to exercise a general positive attitude of kindness and goodwill toward other people. Your attitude toward others and toward the truth is what makes you a good person or not. It does not require adhering to societal expectations or religious dogma.

When making a decision on what kind of relationship to have, you should ask yourself what feels right? What do you want in the long term? It is important to think ahead about the consequences of what you might be embarking on.

Lesbianism may not be for everyone. But there is nothing wrong with experimenting. Watching porn, reading erotic stories, masturbating, sharing fantasies, fooling around with a friend, these are all safe ways to explore your interests while you figure things out. It is better that you explore your feelings and come to understand them, than repress your feelings and wind up in an unhappy situation down the road.
