Summer 2003
Pirate Challenge

Hi Everyone,

Since on July 9th, 2003 is coming up "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" with Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Orlando Bloom, Tom Wilkinson, Keira Knightly, this is a call for interessents in a "Summer 2003 Pirate Challenge". Stories should be posted to ASSM the same day!

In my mind are spinning around stories about romantic pirates, cruel pirates, sadistic pirates, mind-controlling pirates, male pirates, female pirates, lesbian pirates, gay pirates, pirates with only one eye, pirates with only one leg, pirates, pirates and even more pirates.

It would something new to ASSM since in last time there were festivals introducing a styl of writing (romance, sapphic, song stories)... this would be a theme contest, which would give place for all genres of erotic writing... romance, bondage, gay

Though most pirate movies are set in the Carribbean there could be pirate stories been set in other world-parts or times, Malaysian pirates like in "Seven Days, Six Nights", maybe a story about the sex-life of Sir Francis Drake..., even a story of pirates entering Starship Enterprise and seducing Lt. Uhura (hallo, Ann D.!)

I would appreciate a story lenght of about 8-10 pages, but this should not be a criterium. If somebody would write a 50,000-word-story, why not? On the other side, I cannot imagine a pirate story plot put in a 250-word-flash, but if you in the wild will try, go ahead...
