For the last few years, I've been keeping a diary about my dates with my boyfriend, Ryosuke. I guess I first got really serious about my diary soon after I found out that Ryosuke was into the outdoors. I don't just mean like camping and hiking or whatever, but more like fooling around and getting me to do things that are a little bit embarrassing. At first, I was like really shocked by all this, and so I started to write down what we did in letters, and post them. I wanted to find out what people thought about these things we were doing, and ask for advice about what I should do. A whole bunch of very kind people have written to me now with all kinds of really good ideas and suggestions, and lately I feel a lot better about the whole thing.

I don't want you to think I'm weird or anything, but I guess I have a confession to make. Ever since I was little, I've been a little bit curious about what it would be like to go around in the nude. My older sister is very much that way, and so maybe I take after her a little. I know it's wrong, and I definitely don't want to get caught, but anyway, sometimes Ryosuke and I get a little bit carried away.

A bit about me: I was born in Japan, but my family lived in Hawaii and New York for a few years when I was young because of my dad's job. Now I am going to university in Oceanview, California, down in the south near San Diego. Anyway, read my posts, and let me know what you think.

Oceanview, 2001-2002

In the Woods with my Boyfriend
I talk a bit about introducing my boyfriend Ryosuke to my host mom, Loretta, but this is actually about the first time Ryosuke and I made love.

On my University Campus
My host mom Loretta and her kids Brandon and Jennifer weren't home, so I was just making myself comfortable when Ryosuke gave me a call. Not long after, Ryosuke suggested we stay late in the Japanese garden they have on campus, and we ended up messing around a bit there. (Thanks to Tainted Lime for mentioning this post).

My First Time Playing Squash
Ryosuke and I went to the Athletic Center on campus for a swim and then a game of squash, but I guess in the rush, I kind of forgot to bring one rather important piece of clothing. We were both pretty nervous at that time, and he ended up pushing me to do something completely off the deep end.

In our Friend's Condominium
This is the first post where I talk about my Japanese friends in Oceanview. Asuna and Satomi are two girls who were in the ESL program with me when I first arrived in Oceanview. Kenta and Futoshi are two boys who are friends of Ryosuke's. We helped Kenta move into his new condo, and ended up staying the night.

On the Beach at Night
Probably one of the craziest things we've ever done. Ryosuke and I went to the beach, and started fooling around there and in this convenience store nearby. We were both so heated up, but it all ended up getting a bit weird.

In a Bikini Shop Changing Room
Ryosuke took me shopping to buy a new swimsuit, and we kind of got carried away right there in the store. That was pretty wild!

When Norika and I were Younger
Early on, I started thinking a lot about how I ended up this way. I guess when I went back to Japan, I started remembering all this stuff from my childhood, people I met in Hawaii and New York who had an effect on me, and most of all my sister, Norika. This is about them. (Thanks to Desdmona for her spotlight on this post).

A Bit More about Norika and then Me
More childhood memories: how my sister Norika messed things up with my first boyfriend, Tomoyuki, and then how my friend Michiyo and I visited my Aunt Sachi's place, and got lent some of my (female) cousin Namie's clothes. I got caught running around half naked by my uncle, my cousin Kanako and her husband, and Namie's brother Hideki and one of his friends. Embarrassing!

Back Home in Japan
Back to the present, this is basically about my going out for an early morning walk to a temple near my parents' house in Kamakura, and then going out clothes shopping with my friend from high school Michiyo.

My First Time at a Nude Beach
We heard about how to get to the beach from Jim, a guy at school, who I think has a crush on my friend Satomi. I went once by myself and once with Satomi. The second time we met these two guys Tex and his friend Roly-Poly.

At My Friend's Swimming Pool
This is the first time I wrote about Debbie, my closest American friend. She's one of the few people I've ever told about the things Ryosuke and I do. I managed to talk her into going skinny-dipping with me in the pool in her backyard. Her younger brother Kyle was upstairs, and then his friend Alvin showed up.

At a Public Swimming Pool
Ryosuke and I went swimming at the Oceanview Aquatic Center, a big pool and slider complex. We kind of got carried away, and in the end, a Korean American lifeguard named Sonya caught Ryosuke and I in the women's showers! Oops!

The Two of Us Take a Trip
One of my happiest memories: my first trip with Ryosuke. We went down to a couple of beach resorts on the coast south of Oceanview, and did all kinds of stuff.

Our Trip Down the Coast Part 2
More about our trip. At first we went to this other beach and fooled around some more, and then we went to find this secret hiking trail. Ryosuke ended up talking me into taking a long walk in the woods naked, a crazy thing I know, but probably one of the things I remember most about this trip.

Oceanview, 2002-2003

In and Around my Host Family's House
I was in kind of a nudist mood that day. It's just about me doing my laundry and sunbathing in my backyard. Oh, yeah, I talked with Ryosuke's host dad, Mr. Francis, on the phone while I was out there, and I think a couple of neighbor girls probably saw me naked in the alley next to our house. I was so embarrassed.

Dancing and Strip Poker with my Friends
My boyfriend Ryosuke, his friends Futoshi and Kenta, my friends Satomi and Asuna and I all drove up to a dance club, and got a little drunk, I guess. After that, we all came back to Kenta's condo, and played some cards. A strange night.

Back at Kenta's Condo
Ryosuke's friend Kenta was going away for a week, and Ryosuke asked if we could house-sit his condo. I went over early to pick up the key, and then said goodbye when his friend Futoshi drove Kenta to the airport. I went for a dip in the condo's outdoor pool, and then came back, and started sunbathing on his balcony.

Hula Dancing and Malibu
In the summer of 2002, I went to L.A. to see my friend from Hawaii Erika, a Japanese American girl, perform hula dance at an ethnic dance festival. She introduced me to her friend Kaila and the male dancers Keanu and Hale, and I slept over at their hotel. Kaila and them seem pretty comfortable with their bodies. The next year, I brought my friend Satomi and the guys Futoshi and Kenta to L.A. with me to meet them all, and we ended up going to Malibu, and having a great time.

Beach Barbecue
My friends Satomi and Debbie and I went to this trendy beach a bit north of my house. My boyfriend Ryosuke and his friend Futoshi came, and picked us up, and took us to a deserted beach at night for a barbecue with our other friends Kenta and Asuna.

At a Baseball Game
Ryosuke and I met two Japanese girls Haruko and Misae and their "bodyguard" Koji in a Japanese restaurant in Oceanview. They invited us to go see a baseball game in L.A. where Ichiro, a famous Japanese player, was playing. Ryosuke and I went, and there we met them and an American guy, Steve, Haruko's date.

My Second Trip Back to Japan, August/September 2003

Back in Japan with My Boyfriend This Time
My boyfriend Ryosuke, my friend Debbie and I flew back to Japan for a few weeks. My cousin Namie was getting married, and my parents wanted me to help at her wedding. Debbie went to see her boyfriend Curt (who lives in Tokyo), and Ryosuke and I went shopping for dresses, dropped by at his house to meet his mom, and then had supper with his friends. He also introduced me to Taka, a motorcycle mechanic friend of his who lives nearby.

At My Cousin's Wedding
I went to Namie's wedding, and changed into the dress Ryosuke bought for me. I had to work reception with Namie's younger brother, Hideki, and he was as bad as always.

In My Old Neighborhood
My boyfriend Ryosuke came down to visit me at my parents' house in Kamakura, and then we went out for a walk in the park, to my old high schol and then to Enoshima, a rustic island resort not too far from my house

Crossing the Road
Ryosuke came down to Kamakura again, and took me to a garden at the top of a hill in the Masako Houjou burial grounds.

At A Japanese Summer Festival
Ryosuke invited me to a Japanese summer festival (a matsuri) held in his neighborhood in Tokyo. We went to his friend Taka's house to pick up our uniforms, and met Taka's two young cousins, boys named Ryuu and Hiro. At the festival, we saw Ryosuke's mom, dad and his younger brother Keisuke. I made friends with a girl in Keisuke's class named Miori.

Our Hot Spring Tour
My friends Debbie and Michiyo and I took the train to Yugawara to stay in a hot spring inn there. The next morning, they headed back to Tokyo, and Ryosuke came in his father's car to pick me up.

Hot Springs Day Two
Ryosuke drove me to some beautiful outdoor hot springs in Itou city and Hokkawa in the Izu peninsula, Shizuoka prefecture.

Hot Springs: the Last Day
Ryosuke and I stayed the night at Kawazu Nanadaru, a hot spring resort famous for its waterfalls. The next day, we drove up through Shuuzenji, around Lake Ashinoko, down through Hakone, and then stopped at Enoshima for supper, stopping here and there along the way.

Our Camping Trip
My boyfriend Ryosuke, his friend Futoshi, my friend Satomi and I went camping in a log cabin by a lake up north.

A Walk on the Boardwalk
Ryosuke took me to a place he'd found, a brand new apartment complex up the coast with almost no one living in it yet. He kept saying it was like a ghost town, but there were people around. We ended up making love in the tall grass. It was a bit harrowing, but by the end, I was having fun.

My Summer Job
That summer, I worked at the front desk of the campus athletic center with two other students Gavin and Ray. One day, Gavin and his friend Leo were sitting at the front desk, and I decided to take a chance and change from my bikini back into my clothes in the office behind them. A few days later, I took my European friends Sarah and Natasha to the sauna on the pool deck.

In the Library
At the end of the school year during exams, I went to the library every day to study. I picked up a secret admirer. Also one day I went over to visit my friend Satomi at her dorm, and out in the courtyard, I saw Anton, a medical student who lives in Satomi's dorm.
