The Story Starts
Every story starts somewhere, so this is where I'm starting this one. I'm a student at an Australian university and not saying which one. I'm involved in some heavy duty therapy due to some heavier duty on campus events. My therapist asked, the reality is she ordered, me to write down everything about it and some related key periods in my life. I'm writing this as a short story in the first person from just before the first major traumatic incident. Some things which I found out later are included as at the time they occurred.About Me
My name's Robert Phillips, I'm smarter than average (but not a genius), a speed reader and a good problem solver. I'm very tall, with an athletic build - as I keep fit, fair complexion, blue / grey eyes, very light brown hair, and average looks. I left school just after I turned sixteen years of age at the end of Year 10. I always got good marks, but studying was hard that year due to a small group of bullies in a gang which used me as their main punching bag. I always defended myself, but the Deputy Principal thought I must be to blame as I was involved in more fights than anyone else; he never noticed it was always with the same dozen or so boys who belonged to the same gang. Anyway, the Principal was a much smarter man, he knew what the true situation was and always intervened. However, he was retiring and the Deputy was taking his place, I left while I could still do so with dignity and not give that idiot the chance to throw me out, as he'd wanted to.My Family
I have two sisters and we're spread nearly two years apart. Mary has just turned sixteen years old while Nancy is just about to turn fourteen years old. They're typical sisters and we're in a love / hate relationship, but usually get on well. Mum is thirty-eight and Dad is forty years old. Mum looks after the house and kids while Dad works as a day shift supervisor at a factory. Our only other family is Mum's sister, Vera, and her husband and two children. They're on the other side of the suburb.Boarding House
Mrs Miller's a very fit woman in her thirties. She has a daughter a year older than me, Joan, and one a year younger than me, Emily. She owns a large house, more like an old mansion, with twenty bedrooms and five bathrooms for guests, a huge lounge room, and a giant dinner table. It sits on a very large block of land with a huge back yard. I don't know what's on the floor she and her family use, as we're not allowed up there, it's the top floor. My Cupboard
About eight months back I salvaged a damaged wardrobe from the half yearly council rubbish removal campaign. The back and bottom were broken, but the doors and sides were OK. My best friend, Peter, he's another guest, helped me carry it back and put it in the work shed; after I got permission from Mrs Miller to put it there.Troubles
Late October, a Wednesday night a week just after my eighteenth birthday and a fortnight before Nancy's fourteenth birthday, it's my weekly night off from my second job as an office cleaner supervisor; working five hours a night, six nights a week for a cleaning company - with every Wednesday night off. I'm at home at Mrs Miller's Boarding House, in my room watching TV with my friend Peter. There's a knock on my door. Lifting off the headphones, I place them on the bed, stand up, and open the door. A concerned Mrs Miller is standing there with two police officers. I know one, a sergeant whose brother I work with. Smiling, I say,"Good evening Mrs Miller, officers. Can I help you?"At Home
We pull up outside my parent's home at 7.15 pm. "Please wait out here for about ten minutes or so," I ask Danny. "I'll leave the door unlocked." He nods agreement as I get out of the car.The Dinner
Arriving at the hall where the dinner is being held, I ask Danny's partner to stay with the girls while Danny accompanies me into the hall. I wouldn't have got past the door if he hadn't. Once inside, I look around for anyone I know; they're still in the pre dinner drinks stage. Spotting one of Dad's staff, I ask Danny to stay at the entrance while I work my way to Mr James.Shell Game
When we arrive at the boarding house Mrs Miller and Peter are waiting for us. She'd roped him in to help, but hasn't told him why. While I lead Nancy in Mrs Miller leads Mary as Peter carries their bags and the police carry the perishables into the kitchen. Both girls are still crying, they haven't stopped since they started. I wish I can join them, but someone must get things done, and I'm the only one standing near the election podium for that job.Thursday - Getting Organised
Thursday morning I get up at the usual time. I hustle Peter through the bath to get my bath and wake the girls. Arriving downstairs in time for breakfast, I warn Mrs Miller the girls may be a little late. She nods acknowledgement, "I expect that," she replies, "it'll take them a while to get used to the routine."The Morgue
I won't say too much on this. We arrive, we walk in, they show me what that bastard did to them. I'm able to confirm identity from their faces and a few marks on their bodies - scars and the like. I also give them the name of our dentist so they can do a dental records check if they want to.School
Next stop is the school where Mary and Nancy go, and I used to go. Dave accompanies me to the office as I give them change of contact details for the girls and sign paperwork authorising their non attendance at school until Monday week, telling them why. Their exams are over so it's no big issue, just some notes for next year's subjects. I ask to speak with four students, Nancy's two best friends and Mary's two best friends. The office administrator sends someone for them. She makes a note of everything. As the principal is in a meeting she sees no reason to interrupt him with routine matters, she also remembers my issues with him.Interruptions
As we head back to the car Dave's radio bursts into life; it'd been mumbling all along, now it roars. He listens as we run to the car. Diving into the car, he heads off to an address they'd given. Arriving there, we find a domestic dispute going on. Two neighbours trying to get at each other over the intervening police officer while their wives are doing the same with his partner. Other neighbours are standing around making bets on the outcome. I know most of those involved, I grew up around here, so I should. For several minutes they stand there yelling at each other about petty things like vines and trees hanging over fence lines. Nothing Dave or the other officers can do or say can shut them up.Evening Job
Arriving at the address I get out of the car. My boss is in the garden examining his roses. One day I must find out what his surname is. He said when we first met, "Call me, Mario, everyone calls me, Mario." I know that's not his name, but it's what I call him.Home Games
We pull up outside of the house I grew up in. In a way it's home, but at the same time it's not home. Whatever the house is now, it's not the same without Mum and Dad. As we walk up the drive I pull the keys out of my pocket. I stop short, as one of the windows has been forced open and is still open a little bit. I point it out to Dave. He nods as he turns his radio down and calls for back up.Legal Affairs
At the solicitor's things aren't so easy. Mr Jones is very busy. But when I explain what the purpose is to his secretary, he reschedules to give us some time. The wills I have are the last ones Mum and Dad signed, several years ago. However, in the last few months they'd written to him requesting some changes. He has drafts of the new wills ready for signature, but not yet signed, there's an appointment to do that in two weeks time. The most significant change being to appoint me as executor instead of himself, and a few other minor bequests. He explains we can either go ahead with the signed wills or go to court and seek leave to have it altered by the instructions in their signed letters.Dad's Work
Dave says, as he drops me off, "It's nearly time for me to go off shift. Danny is taking over, so I'll tell him where you are, he'll be over to pick you up."Moving On
Mrs Miller sits me down and asks what I've been doing. I tell all three everything, as there's nothing secret about any of it. Mary and Nancy are happy I'll be home with them tomorrow. I turn to Mary, "Do you think you could go and live at home again?" I ask. She shakes her head no, I fully understand as I doubt I could live there again, not without Mum and Dad. "Do you want to move in here on a long term basis, I'm sure we can arrange it?" She nods yes, so does Nancy. Turning to Mrs Miller, "I think it best if we all live here for the next few years. When you have the space I'd like to take over the four bedrooms on the landing we're on and pay to have a door block it off. That way we can use it as a mini flat with a bedroom each and set the fourth room up as a private lounge room."Evening
After dinner I say to Mary and Nancy, "I've got to go out for a while. Do you want to stay down here, or do you want to sit in my room watching TV or listening to the radio? If I open the good TV, one of you has to stay there, and no one but Mrs Miller, Peter, or Linda is allowed in." They discuss the matter while I go and get changed.Surprises
I arrive back at 9.15 pm, Mrs Miller smiles and waves upstairs, to indicate the girls are in my room. Going to my room, I just unlock the door and enter, to find Nancy sitting at the table watching my old TV while Mary and Emily are lying naked on my bed in a close embrace and a deep kiss. Holding my hand up to my mouth in a 'ssh' gesture, I'm about to quietly withdraw when I see a large bruise on Emily's arm. It's just starting to show colour, so it must be very new.Night
Just after 11.00 pm my door opens and Mrs Miller walks in with some clothes over her arm. She carefully places the clothes on one chair and locks the door. She undresses, saying, "When we're alone like this, please call me Alice?"Friday
My alarm goes off at 5.15 am and I wake up to the gentle music. Reaching over Alice, I turn the alarm clock off and move back, kissing my way across her body. The alarm didn't fully wake her up, but my fondling and kissing her breasts does. I set it very early so we have time to make love again. She wakes up, looks at the clock, smiles, and eagerly responds to my advances. We have another slow joyous time.Breakfast
I say, as we sit down to breakfast, "Mrs Miller, I'll be walking Emily to school today. Can you please keep an eye on my sisters until I get back?" She nods yes.Morning
After a short talk with Mary and Nancy, I sit around waiting for Emily to be ready for school. We leave about ten minutes earlier than her usual time. It's a nice day, and we chat as we walk the kilometre to her school. We near a park about two thirds of the way there, she gets tense as there's a group of youths hanging about near the sub-generator shed at the edge of the park. As we near the group I ask Emily which one hurt her. She describes his clothes, and I recognise him. He was a guest at Mrs Miller's when I first arrived there, and he left the next week, not a nice person at all. I never did like him.Back Home
Fifteen minutes later I'm walking up the street to Mrs Miller's when Dave drives by and stops in front of the house. He gets out and waits for us. Alice and my sisters come out to speak with him. We soon join them. Dave asks, "OK, Rob, what's going on?" My two servants are a bit wide eyed at this. I nod at the house, and we all go inside.Furniture
About twenty minutes later we're in the local shopping centre. First stop is a furniture shop. We look at beds and I select a steel frame unit. It has a king sized main bed with a king single bunk bed above one end of it. I organise new pillows and linen for both mattresses. I also buy a small fridge for the girls' room. I pay for it all on my debit card, like a credit card but works against the actual bank balance. They'll deliver the bed and things that afternoon, sometime after 2.00 pm as they have them in the store's on hand stock and will use locals for the delivery.Arrangements
Harry and I soon finish fixing the bed up. A short time later Alice calls me down to the dining room. Alison has arrived. She asks as she hands me printouts of my calendar for next week, "Want to go through and assign these to people?" I take them and check them in detail. I'm quick to assign most of them to staff. Taking out the mobile phone, I call three of the clients and speak to them about their jobs before assigning them to another staff member. These are special clients, and I apologise for reassigning their work. I explain I'm on leave at short notice due to the sudden death of my parents and having to sort things out for my sisters. They all agree to accept the new staff, as they understand my situation. These are very important clients we almost lost due to mishandling by the last person in my job. It's taken me a long time to get all their business back, but it's left them feeling I'm the only one they can trust. I hope this helps them to learn to trust our other staff too. I ring the person I'm assigning them to and explain how important and delicate our relations with these people are at the moment, she promises to take extra care with them.Evening
We go downstairs for dinner, and return to watch more TV. We're soon settled in with Emily sitting on my right, Harry on my left, Nancy in my lap, Mary beside Emily, and Henry on the floor as he leans against the bed. I have an arm around Emily fondling her breast and another around Harry fondling her breast. Mary also has an arm around Emily fondling her breast. Emily has a huge smile. Having just got real comfortable, we're disturbed by a knock on the door, and Alice opens it to show in Gayle, Tina, Melody, and Belinda. They all stop just inside the door, and smile as they take in our arrangements.Fun and Games
Hearing certain familiar sounds from my room, I'm quiet as I open the door and slip in. Harry, Emily, Melody, Mary, and Belinda are on the bed in a group kiss and cuddle session, and a bit more besides. Gayle, Tina, and Nancy appear to enjoy themselves while watching them. I shut the door and move up to Nancy. Placing a hand over her mouth, I whisper as I reach around and fondle her breast, "Get presentable and take your friends into your room." Gulping, she nods. It's clear no one expected me back yet. I place a hand over Gayle's mouth and fondle her breast as Nancy does the same with Tina. "Get presentable and follow Nancy." Gulping hard, she nods, as does Tina.Night Games
Mary, Nancy, Emily, Harry, and I are sitting on the bed all cuddled up, and Henry is in the chair as we watch TV again. At 11.00 pm Alice walks in and smiles at us, she's locked up the house. Mary nudges Nancy and they leave for their room. I get up and kiss them good night.Saturday
I wake up to the sound of knocking on my door. Getting up, I answer it, to find Alice standing there in a gown with a change of clothes for Emily and herself. Mary and Nancy are standing behind her in their gowns. With a wide grin, I turn around and wake Emily and Harry. They put t-shirts on and we all go to the bathroom.Morning
After breakfast we form up as a group (Linda, Peter, Emily, Mary, Nancy, Harry, and I) and head for the railway station to take the train into the city centre. We make a three hundred metre detour, going by the house to see how Aunt Vera and family are settling in. We arrive just as Uncle Mark and Jack arrive back with another load of gear. We all grab some gear and carry it in. Aunt Vera and Betty are busy putting things away in the kitchen, it's much bigger than their old one.In the City
We planned our trip to give us time for delays. Thus we have about an hour before we're due to meet our friends at the agreed spot, ten minutes walk away. With a huge grin, Nancy points out a shop of teen girls wear. I reply, shaking my head, "If we're going to be watching you lot flashing underwear at us, we'll want time to enjoy it. We'll go there after lunch, OK?" All the girls nod agreement.Back Home
We arrive home about 5.30 pm and have forty-five minutes until the usual 6.15 pm dinner time. We go upstairs and I open my cupboard. I turn the TV on and place Amanda's DVD in to play. We settle into seats and on the bed to watch the DVD.Night
At 10.45 pm Steve and Joan turn up in the lounge in casual dress, and sit down to watch TV. Smiling at them, I ask, "Would you two like to join Emily, Harry, and I as we watch a personal movie on DVD we were loaned today? It's extremely hot."Sunday
We get up for breakfast, eating in our robes as Sunday breakfast is usually very casual for most of us because we don't work today. The cell phone rings, soon after returning to my room after breakfast. It's Aunt Vera asking us all to come over for Sunday lunch. They had some trouble with the freezer and she has three huge roasts that have to be cooked today. I reply, with a laugh, "I don't believe that, but we'll get dressed and come straight over. A free feed is a free feed." We all have quick baths and get dressed as fast as possible. The only thing I take my time with is applying the gel to Emily's bruises. Alice asks Joan and Steve to keep an eye on things as she wishes to go out, they agree.Monday
Peter and Linda have to work today, so we let them have first baths. We're all bathed and dressed for breakfast on time. All the girls insist on going to the court with me. I want them to stay home, but they won't hear of it. I may have won the argument against one, but not three. I'm able to leave Henry with Alice, as he has plenty of work to do for her. We head off early and walk Emily to her school, as it's on the way.Local Court
After lunch it's back to the court. We're the first back, so Dave takes time out to explain the court protocol and procedures to us. About ten minutes later the Police Prosecutor turns up. Dave takes me over and introduces me to her. We have a quick chat and I explain my family solicitor is sending someone over to help me with my case.Afternoon and Evening
As we walk down the street I wonder how Michael's family will take the court ruling, and how the families of the others involved will take their sons being charged with manslaughter. Oh well, not my worry.Interlude
During the week I take Harry over to the public high school and register her with the school. Most of our week off is spent helping Harry, Mary, and Nancy catch up on their studies. The girls also spend part of Wednesday helping Aunt Vera clean up the old flat. Mr Jones organises the rental lease and all is soon sorted out. They pay rent through one of the local real estate agents, just to keep it all tidy.Next Few years
In February the next year the other driver loses his criminal case about the accident, not contesting the civil suit counts heavily against him as it shows his insurance company feels he was at fault. He appeals and fights it all he can. The legal costs are high, and he has to sell his business to pay for them. He ends up being sentenced to five years in prison and barred from ever owning a driver's licence again. He and his family are extremely upset about his sentence and how much it cost them. Mary, Nancy, and I aren't moved by their problems, not at all. We don't attend the court for the case, but rely on reports from Mr Jones.University
Four years after my parents died Nancy graduates from high school and we go to university together. We look at all the universities and make a joint decision to go to a rural based university. This is based on the quality of the courses they provide in the various careers we're looking at as a group. The one we choose also has a very good technical college in the same city. We sign up as a group; Mary, Nancy, Emily, Harry, Tina, and myself. We attend as full fee paying students as this gives us much more flexibility in regards to class attendance and marks requirements, you can't lose your place for not meeting the government level of marks if they're not paying for your place or fees.Moving In
Monday morning we arrive at the university house and the girls start arguing over who'll have the front rooms. I leave them to fight it out and direct the furniture movers to place my stuff in the back bedroom on the left. I've my bunk bed, my fancy cupboard, a new computer desk, a new credenza like book case, and a chest of drawers for clothes. We spend about half an hour getting me shifted in and set up. The girls are still having a heated discussion, so I leave them to it and move Tina's gear into the back room on the right hand side of the house. I give Nancy and Mary the two front rooms on the right, Nancy nearest the lounge room; while Harry and Emily get the two front rooms on the left (nearest me), with Emily nearest the lounge room. That way the two rooms that'll be used the least are beside the lounge room; I don't expect Mary or Emily to ever sleep in their own beds unless we have guests staying overnight. Nice name plates are placed on each bedroom door and I tip the furniture movers $50.00 each for helping me to set the rooms up. Shaking my head, I approach the girls. They've been standing in the middle of the lounge room arguing for three and a half hours. I say, with a groan, "I'm hungry, lets go get some lunch." They turn and head out the door. I lock up the house as I shake my head and they continue their fight over who gets what room while we walk to the cars. We have two four door economy sedans and a ten seater Tarago van. They all pile in the back of the van, so they can continue their fight at close quarters. I'm amazed they didn't notice all the furniture being carried by. After all, they did move when we asked them to shift so we could put the lounge room furniture in place.Saturday
When Peter and Linda surface, we'd put them in Harry's room and she slept with me, I soon put Peter to work wiring the house up for me. He brought his work van down as it has everything we need.Sunday Surprises
I'm in the middle of giving everyone their morning wash when the phone rings. After talking on the phone, Nancy tells me the family of the dead student will be coming down to collect his things, and they should arrive just after lunch.Start of Studies
Trouble
Near the end of the first term, about two weeks before the mid semester break, I'm in our house alone, watching TV when one of the other students from one of my classes turns up at 9.30 am with some of her house mates; including her older sister, Janice. The rest of my gang are away at classes. I have no classes today, as this morning's usual two hour lecture was cancelled and my house mates are all busy until late afternoon. Janice, the sister of my class mate, Paula, and the third girl, Michelle, look vaguely familiar, but I can't place them at all. Janice is a third year student while Paula and Michelle are first year students.Saturday
After our morning baths and breakfasts we sit down to watch what happened on Friday properly. When we'd looked at it yesterday I played it at high speed, now we watch at normal speed and hear the talk. The viewing of the whole incident takes up most of the weekend, as we stop for food, drinks and sex while checking all available camera angles; seven in my room, two in the halls, two in the dinette, two in the bathroom, four in the lounge room, and one outside. I'll recount the incident as a narrator as I don't have any personal memory of it and that'll make it easier to mention what else is happening. I won't cover any conversations or actions that don't have a direct bearing on the troublesome events of that day, nor will I detail all of the instructions given to Rob and the girls, just describe what they do as a result of the instructions given by Janice.Friday Replay
Just before 9.30 am Rob answers the front door and speaks to Paula, Janice, and Michelle; he lets them into the house. Janice and Michelle sit down in the lounge room and Paula sits at the dining table while he gets everyone a can of drink each. After taking a sip from his drink, he goes to his room for his class and lecture notes. While he's gone Janice dashes over and drops three tablets into his can of drink sitting on the table, before racing back to her seat. He and Paula start to discuss the notes, sipping their drinks as they talk. The other two watch TV.Planning
It's Sunday evening by the time we've finished watching all the camera angles and copying material to make a good DVD movie. We have numerous breaks for fucking while watching the recording, it's one hot sex film. I make a few copies as the girls agree this will make a lovely gift for many of our friends; Peter, Linda, Alice, Amanda, and Sarah.Paula's Peril
During the week I act as if nothing happened, while Paula is very skittish in class and on the edge of tears all week. It's clear she's on the edge of a break down, or worse. She's in tears all through Friday's lecture and I can't take this any more. I take her by the hand and drag her to the campus counsellor. She doesn't even fight me or ask a thing.Friday Afternoon
Mid afternoon the girls arrive back, change, and depart in the van - with Mary driving. They all carry bags like they're going away over night. During the shuffling around the car Tina is able to sneak back into the house without being seen by anyone. The van is parked near the corner of the house and she slips around the corner to the back door while the girls form a group at the front of the van blocking the view.Second Production
With everything set up, Janice has Michelle sit on the lounge with me. Following instructions, I order Michelle to strip and play with herself. A knock on the door and Dorothy barges in demanding to know where Paula is. Michelle and I subdue her and drag her into the bedroom, with Janice leading the way to turn on the cameras.Second Interlude
Paul is very upset the next day when we visit the prison and tell him the outcome of the scam. I sit there smiling at him as I play with the breasts of his wife and eldest daughter. It's the second last time they visit him. The last time is about ten months later when they show him their babies, Dorothy, Paula, and Michelle have lovely children.More Trouble
It's near the end of our second year, with the year's exams over but most students are still on campus, either getting ready for next year or packing up to leave if it's their final year. Janice is sorting out what to do for her masters, and at an appointment with her professor. Dorothy, Paula, Philip (her son), and I are at the campus coffee shop planning next years courses. We're waiting for Janice to join us for lunch after her meeting. The rest of the girls are in the city shopping, and have the other children with them, Paula likes to spend time with Philip.Next Day
I wake up about noon the next day, the tablets must have included something more than just pain killers. Opening my eyes, I see most of the girls standing around the room. Seeing I'm awake, Nancy says, "Can't trust you to do anything without supervision, can we?" I can tell she's more relieved than angry, "You didn't have to finish him so thoroughly. Back broken in three places, arm broken, fractured skull, you're lucky to have skipped that one. The police have charged him with two counts of attempted murder, you and Paula. He'll spend the rest of his life in a wheel chair, and most of that in prison. Just one question, did you know he was out of shells, or were you lucky?"Follow On
About a week after the incident I'm allowed out of the hospital, but required by the university to work through my post traumatic stress with the university counsellor before I'll be allowed back to classes. When he was well enough to talk Paul was sprouting all sorts of claims and threats. All total rubbish, but they got enough attention for the university counsellor to require me to sort out and deal with everything for the last few years.
