The Dream

The Dream was an idea that I got as I was in a correspondence with Violet, a very talented writer who, like me, is a switch. As we exchanged ideas and stories it seemed like we both could easily slip into the other's alter-role - if Violet wrote something Femdom, I appreciated it from a male sub point of view. And vice versa.
I think that switches (when someone enjoys both roles of Dominant or submissive instead of exclusively one or the other) are often maligned. We are accused of not knowing what we want, of using the alter role to get what we want (ala topping from the bottom) or as just plain wishy-washy. True, some Dominants started out as submissives and savored the role-reversal because they found they could relate to the alter role easier now that they had experienced it first hand. Welcome to the world of switch, where that happens all the time.
I think that many have a little switch in them, whether they will admit to it or not. But that's just my opinion. Hello, I'm Toran and I'm a switch.
