I've always been fascinated by the surrender aspect of when the mind finally accepts the fact that the body is bound and helpless. Up to that point, the mind has gone through maybe three steps - first panic at the feeling of not being able to control what has always been controllable. Then fear - how do I get out, what can I do to get my control back? Then evaluation - what happens now that I can't get loose? Sometimes, the mind goes into a fourth stage - more panic. But ultimately there is a point where the questions posed in the evaluation stage results in only one answer. Surrender. In a non-consensual situation, this may take longer, I think. Don't really know because the only NC I subscribe to is in fantasy and fiction.
Her Gift is all about watching that process. Watching those phases ripple through the mind and displayed in body language. And then the celebration of that first bound orgasm. Surrender. Great word.
