Early Morning

This one is another of the Jenny inspired stories.  During our collaboration, Jenny taunted me from time to time about what was the worst that I could come up with to do to her.  I guess that was one of her buttons, to see how nasty someone could get with her in mind.  Me, being someone who will at least give everything a shot once or twice, wrote this one with emphasis on lots of blood and gothic imagery and I thought I had done the trick.  My distinct impression from Jenny after she read this was that I hadn't.  So ended my foray into being goaded into writing a formulaic story.

One of the things that I really did like about this one is the Beast aspect.  In many of my stories I've personified the darker aspects of sadomasochism as a Beast inside, kept locked away from the vanilla world, alone, hungry, waiting, only to be freed at those special times when he needs to feed.  Yeah, kind of a bogey-man concept, symbolizing emotions and yearnings as a separate sentient being - the orphan child monster that is kept in the attic (or basement) and who has a real attitude.  But, I've seen that in many cases, the parallelism is there - speaking for myself, I really do feel guilty sometimes that I am the way I am and that I have to keep a part of me locked away, secretly hidden from the world.  Otherwise, cats and dogs, living together in sin.

I borrowed Freddy Kreuger's nail glove and if you want to put on some classic Nine Inch Nails while reading, that's the mood I was going for.  Sort of a driving, goth, candle-waxy thing with blood rivulets and a victim who loves it.
