Do You Want To Continue?

Written: May 20, 2002

This is the second story in the little series of stories that I wrote about Jenny, one of the more popular authors on the net.  This story continues with the fictional relationship between Toran and Jenny and is the only time I ever used my pseudonym as one of the main characters, at least in my erotica stories - there's a horrible book of vanilla swords and sorcery fiction that I wrote in High School with Toran as the main character but, God willing, that will never see the light of day.  The first story in the series was originally entitled "Meeting Jenny" but I've opted to re-name it "Meeting Her" and it can be found further down the list of titles on the index page.

This story picks up where the first would have left off, assuming the Rich and Powerful Toran had persuaded Jenny to come be with him in the States.  This whole "Toran in the real world" fictional setting was fun to create - namely because I made Toran Rich and Powerful, and I gave him a harem of slaves and an estate on which he could practice his sadism to his heart's content.  As with all of the Jenny series, Jenny did a lot of the creative brainstorming and a lot of the editing.  It was a fun collaboration.

Do You Want To Continue is the only story of mine that was reviewed by Lady Cyrrh (I've included the review as a link on the index - how thoughtful of me, right?)  I suppose I could take the smart assed route and shrug off the review as being confirmation that I'm a great writer, and believe me, Toran, as he exists inside me would think that way exactly!  But I was honestly humbled and honored and literally blown away by her wonderful comments.  If the story as well as the review (quoting passages from the story) weren't so risqué to vanilla sensibilities I would have the thing framed and mounted on my living room wall.  But mom and dad would probably take exception.

What Do You Want To Continue represented to me was the first real stab at writing a cross-over horror/erotica story, with that question of trust explored and exactly how far would you go to scratch the itch inside - the itch that is dark and warm and fuzzy and maybe a little (or a lot) dangerous.  As Lady Cyrrh noted, I did borrow a little from Poe - Fall of the House of Usher is one of those stories that still sends shivers up and down my spine.  In typical Toran fashion, I tried to make parallel timelines tell the story - one in the story's "now" and one in the story's "past".  I love this technique and many of my stories use it.

An interesting side-note:  Both of Toran's permanent slaves, Teri and Dawn, are ex-girlfriends of mine in real life.  Dawn was a wonderful girl who owned a significant pair of fish slippers (someday I will write that story), and Teri was my first crush.  Neither are depicted here as they were when I knew them but, with a little bit of literary freedom, they seem to have turned out just fine.

So, for the record:  I do not own a sprawling Midwestern ranch-estate, I do not have two slaves, I did not do any of the nasty things in the story to anyone, and Jenny and I have never physically occupied the same room in real life.  Ever.  Oh, yeah - if they ever do come up with those cool contact lenses in real life, I'm in for a pair.

I hope you enjoy Do You Want To Continue? and don't hesitate to send feedback via toran29@yahoo.com.
