Feedback: Every author in his or her own way makes it a point to ask for feedback when posting a story, well me I don't usually. But there are several reasons as to why a reader should consider taking the time to give it. The simple fact is that giving some form of feedback is truly the most important thing a reader can do after reading and enjoying a story. Hopefully in the process providing that author with at least one viable reason as to what you liked about the story. This small amount of time spent will no doubt inspire the author to write more and possibly at a quicker pace, knowing that they have a fan base who are waiting on their next works. So thanks for the feedback and please keep it comin.

"So, Cuz, any ideas on what we're gonna do once we get to Cannon-Beach?" Zoey asked as she plopped down next to me at the table inside the McDonald's located some 50 minutes from our final destination. A last rest stop, as the driver noted, before we tackled the last leg of the epic journey.

"No, I don't," I said quietly. "Maybe I can talk my Uncle Gary into letting you both stay for a while. It's worth a try."

"Maybe me and Zoey should just stay here and let you go on and that way you won't have to worry about it," Libby said in a slightly bitter tone. Which surprised me because I had offered to do everything I could to help them.

"I'm not staying here and neither are you," Zoey demanded of Libby. "We are in this together. Right Cuz?"

"I already said I'd do everything I can for you guys" I repeated. "I just wish we had some way were you guys had a place to stay and I could settle in and then bring it up to my Uncle."

"I'm sure Uncle Moneybags is gonna be thrilled to take in not one but three girls," Zoey commented.

"He might be, if we offer to fuck him," Libby said as a small gasp swept across the table and both of us looked at her in shock as she smiled proudly.

"That's my Uncle you're talking about," I said in mild protest.

"And I could care less," Libby said as she poked me under the table and made me squeal. A few people looking our way. "If he's willing I'll suck it till falls off to get a place to stay."

"That is gross," I said as Zoey cackled in laughter as Libby smiled smugly.

"It would also work really well," Zoey commented.

"I doubt that," I inserted.

"I don't," Libby said. "All guys fantasize about young pussy. Of course some lie to cover up the desire, but it's true."

"That is a very good point," Zoey said. "Maybe we could tag team him. Both get a place to stay."

"Oh god, shut up," I said as both laughed. "I'm gonna get back on the bus and hope that I'll never see you two again."

"We love you too baby," Zoey and Libby said in unison as I gave them a dirty look and exited the McDonald's. Thinking (and worrying about) the question they posed about where they were gonna stay. And for the rest of the ride to Cannon-Beach I had that on my mind. But as it turned out the whole ordeal would be mute because it wasn't my Uncle who would be picking us up at the bus station.

"So how are exactly are you supposed to know which one of these guys he is?" Zoey asked a couple hours bus ride later. We now sat on the bench out front of the bus stop and watched the endless parade of people flow by as they picked up their relatives or friends.

"It's my Mom's brother, but I've met never him," I commented.

"He's lived out here for a long time?" Libby asked.

"My whole life," I said. "Mom just always said she didn't want me involved in what Uncle Gary was doing."

"Making movies?" Zoey asked. "You mentioned it."

"What I heard too," Libby inserted. "What kind of movies?"

"I hope it's dirty movies," Zoey said with a devilish grin crossing her face. Both me and Libby giving her a certain look. "What? I like watching them. You two don't?"

"Never had the chance with my horrible father," Libby said. "No DVD player or even VCR."

"Same here," I commented. "Mom's drug habit tended to drain financial resources rather quickly."

"What 14 year old girl actually says stuff like financial resources?" Libby asked as I blushed.

"My nerdy cousin here does," Zoey said as she hugged me and the two of them again laughed. "Hey check out the talent coming this way?"

"WOW she's hot" Libby commented as they spotted an women getting out of a jet black caddy and swaying considerably as she walked toward the front doors before she noticed us sitting on the bench. Looking down for a moment at her PDA and then grinning widely at us as she came toward us. "Maybe she's gonna pick us up."

"You two shut up," I demanded as they giggled.

"Hi," The blond hottie said as she stopped in front of us and smiled directly at me. "You have to be Cassie Smith."

"I am and how the hell did you know that?" I asked in complete shock.

"Because I'm Dawn Francisco, you're Uncle Gary's fiancé" She said as I smiled. "It's nice to meet you."

"You too," I stammered. "Where's my Uncle?"

"On a shoot," She said mysteriously. "He sent me to make sure you got here, OK."

"How long is the shoot?"

"7 days," Dawn announced. "You can call him tonight once you get settled in."

"AHEM!" Zoey said as she squeezed my hand and was begging with her eyes for me to at least try and get them a place to stay. But what come out of my mouth next was one of the best lies I'd ever told or would ever tell (or so I thought at that moment).

"UMMMMMMM...Dawn this is my cousin, Zoey," I said as Zoey grinned. "She's my Aunt Dina's daughter."

"I didn't know anyone was coming with you," Dawn commented.

"Mom wanted me to make sure she got here," Zoey lied.

"And you're going back on the next bus I assume?" Dawn asked.

"I thought maybe she could stay for a few days," I said weakly.

"We'll see," Dawn said with an amused smile. Then eye balling Libby and asking, "And who is this other girl who seems to be quite fond of you?"

"That would be Libby Hollins!"

"Cassie's girlfriend," Libby said as my stomach fell out at that announcement. "Nice to meet you."

"Girlfriend?" Dawn asked. "Since when?"

"About four months and yes my Mom and Dad know I'm here," Libby said.

"They just let their 14 year old..."

"15!"

"OK, 15 year old daughter travel half way across the country with her girlfriend?" Dawn asked.

"They do," I said in a pathetic attempt to help the story be believable.

"Her parents are world travelers and as long as she keeps in touch with them she can go anywhere she wants to," Zoey said.

"Sure they do," Dawn said as she smiled knowingly and for the first time I noticed that she seemed to be eye balling my 'cuz'. Zoey though seemed to be absolutely loving the attention of this older woman. "So all three of you little sluts are coming home with me, I hope?"

"We sure are," Zoey said immediately as she sprang to her feet. "Right, Cuz?"

"Like I have a choice?" I asked as I stood and found my hand being taken by Libby as she laced our fingers and attempted to play off the whole "girlfriend" thing. Though Dawn seemed to have long since lost interest in our lies and was now making eyes openly at Zoey who was enjoying the attention more by the second. The two of them snatched up the bags and walked off towards the car as Libby stopped me by the hand. "What?"

"I think Dawn is a pedo," Libby said. "You do know what a pedo is?"

"Pedophile and yes I do," I said. "Means you're attracted to preteen girls. But Zoey's not exactly in that category."

"OK, so she's a borderline pedo?" Libby asked as I laughed and watched Dawn toss the bags into the trunk of her Caddy and laugh at one of Zoey's jokes. But what made me think that Libby was not all together wrong was what Dawn did next. She closed the trunk and stood there giggling with Zoey for a long moment and then carefully ran a single finger down the side of Zoey's face in a bold flirting attempt. "Told you so."

"Not my concern," I said as Libby agreed. "Zoey can handle her."

"That she can," Libby said as she stroked a finger under my chin and gently drew my lips to hers. "MMMMMMMMM!"

"What was that for?" I asked as Libby grinned.

"Selling the girlfriend angle," Libby said as I smiled in return as we now walked towards the car, arm in arm.

The drive to Uncle Gary's was anything but uneventful as one might expect as Dawn and Zoey (who got to ride shot gun) chattered on non-stop and left me and Libby to feel like tag-alongs who were just along cause we insisted on coming. Though that was rather irritating it was soon pushed from my mind when I spotted the ocean off in the distance and quickly realized just how rich my Uncle Gary apparently was. This being confirmed when Dawn pulled up to a massive fence that towered high above the car and slowly opened for us as we drove through and then up the long winding driveway. Trees on both sides lining the streets and hiding the house till we made one last turn and came to a stop in front of this monstrosity of a house.

"Fuckin huge," Libby commented as we stepped out of the backseat and gawked at the mansion we'd be staying in. It was by far the biggest place I'd ever been in or even close to.

"I've seen nicer," Zoey giggled as she climbed out and met me and Libby by the back of the car.

"I gotta pee," Dawn announced from the front steps. "Just dump your crap inside the door and have a look around and I'll catch up with you."

"Thanks Mom!" I said as she grinned and pointed a warning finger at me before slipping inside. Zoey snagged a few bags from the trunk as we headed inside and dumped them in the entrance way which was rather large but not exactly overwhelming. To the right was the living room that featured a massive (get used to that word) double bay-style window that gave a breath taking view of the pacific ocean (and Uncle Gary's private stretch of beach). Also, a sectional sofa provided a perfect viewing angle for the 82 inch plasma screen (Mitsubishi) that hung from the wall between two towers of DVD's. Had to be thousands of them too.

"He's got every DVD ever released, I think," Libby said as she looked them over. My attention being drawn by a squealing Zoey as she went airborne and crashed down happily on the plush sofa.

"Have I told you how much I love you, Cuz?" Zoey asked me with a huge ear-to-ear grin.

"Go to sleep," I said as she laughed and being startled when Libby screamed and jumped away from the DVD tower when the damn thing started moving downward into the floor. Libby panicked as I stood and could only watch helplessly as she fiddled with the knob that she had accidentally hit to set off the disappearing DVD's.

"Stop, please stop you stupid fuckin thing" Libby begged and breathed a sigh of relief when she hit it and it stopped on cue. Zoey cackling out loud from behind us as she watched the entire incident. "What the hell was that?"

"It's called a DVD carousel you airhead," Zoey said as Libby gave her a dirty look. "Haven't seen one like that in a long time."

"Where exactly did you see one before?" I asked pointedly.

"Nowhere, in a store somewhere," Zoey mumbled.

"I've never seen anything like that before..." Libby said.

"...obviously," I inserted. Libby glanced at me briefly before going on. "Who do you know that would have something like that? You know some rich people where you're from?"

"No!" Came Zoey's auto-pilot reply before she clammed up.

"Come to think of it she never did tell me where she was from," I realized.

"Me either," Libby commented.

"So girls, how are we settling in?" Dawn asked as she came in from the kitchen and stopped in front of us.

"Libby broke your DVD thing," I said as Libby gasped in horror at my attempt at humor.

"I'm sure she didn't actually break it," Dawn said as Libby glared at me.

"Was kidding, it was a joke," I said as Libby softened her glare a bit.

"Here watch," Dawn said as she lifted the knob on the wall and the DVD carousel startled going up as more and more rows of DVD's came into view and then shifting down on the knob had the exact opposite effect. "Gary has so many DVD's that we had install these a couple of months ago."

"Zoey says she's seen one before," Libby said sarcasticly.

"If she has she must be a rich girl," Dawn said. "I don't know anyone with one of these that's not loaded."

"What do you say to that Cuz?" I asked as I looked back and saw, along with everyone else, that Zoey was now asleep (and snoring loudly). "Cuz?"

"That girl is seriously weird," Libby said as Dawn and I agreed with a nodding of the head and chorus of giggles.

"AWWWW let her sleep, she's probably tired from the trip," Dawn said as she carefully laid a blanket over the now comfortably resting Zoey. "I think I'm gonna get some dinner on before Scott gets home."

"And who is Scott?" I asked in total confusion.

"Your cousin?" Dawn asked as I shrugged. "You mean you didn't even know your Uncle adopted a boy?"

"Nope" I admitted. "My Mom hasn't exactly kept in touch with anyone in years. Kind of afraid the way they'd react to her on going...shall we say struggles?"

"I know how you feel kid," Dawn said. "My Mom and sister are druggies too."

"Sounds familiar," I noted.

"How old is Scott?" Libby asked.

"He's 11," Dawn said. "He'll be home anytime now. Off to get dinner ready."

"What are you fixing?" Libby asked.

"FOOD!"

"VERY FUNNY!" Libby screamed back as Dawn laughed. "I don't like her."

"She's seems nice enough," I said as I turned to look out the huge bay window that over looked the blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.

"Some view huh?" Libby asked.

"Incredible" I said. "Wonder what the water feels like this time of year?"

"This far north? Probably a bit chilly" Libby said. "But warm enough to go swimming I'd say."

"I'd just like to dip my toes in the water" I commented. "Never seen the ocean before."

"Me either," Libby said as she reached down to take my hand in hers and grinned. "You wanna go while we have the chance?"

"Go where?" Dawn asked as she came back into the room with an apron now on.

"To the beach," Libby said. "Is it OK?"

"Sure," Dawn said. "Gary has a lease on the beach for filming purposes. So very few people ever go down there."

"We'll back in a few minutes" Libby said as she dragged me along as she went out the front door and down the steps. Practically dragging me as she ran down the driveway and towards the pair of wooden steps to the side of the massive gate that we'd just came through. We both stopped as we reached the steps and looked down at the awe inspiring scene laid out before us. "Cassie?"

"What?" I asked as I snapped back to reality after a momentary gawking session at the ocean.

"You gonna drool or go and actually see the ocean?" She asked.

"I can do both," I said as she laughed and we walked down the long winding steps (think about a 100) to the smooth sand. Libby suggested we leave our shoes on the steps so we wouldn't get sand in them and off we went to the waters edge. She was right the water was rather chilly but felt so amazing to actually feel it wash over my feet and think that the very water that was washing my feet had possibly traveled thousands of miles to get to it's current location. Kinda like me. And unlike it I was just settling in while it's journey continued. I actually thought that. "It's so beautiful."

"More beautiful than anything I've ever seen," Libby said as picked up a rather large seashell that had washed up on the shore. "A nice souvenir."

"It is," I said calmly as she came up to stand directly in front of me.

"Of course, I'm looking at something even more beautiful," Libby said with a cute smile.

"You should think so I am your girlfriend after all," I said as she laughed.

"Maybe you'd really consider it..." Libby said after a moments silence as I looked down the beach and could swore I saw someone coming our way with what looked like a net over their shoulder. I was about to point them out to Libby when the person spotted us and quickly took a detour up the beach and disappeared just before Libby looked around. "...what are you looking at? Did I make you nervous?"

"I saw someone coming up the beach with a net and when they saw us they took off running" I said.

"Sure you did, Cassie" Libby said with a roll of the eyes and I was about to drag her along to investigate when Dawn appeared at the top of the steps leading down to the beach and screamed, "DINNER!"

"I'm telling you I saw someone," I insisted as Libby took my hand and dragged me along towards the steps and dinner. The mystery investigation would have to wait...for now.
