Feedback: Every author in his or her own way makes it a point to ask for feedback when posting a story, well me I don't usually. But there are several reasons as to why a reader should consider taking the time to give it. The simple fact is that giving some form of feedback is truly the most important thing a reader can do after reading and enjoying a story. Hopefully in the process providing that author with at least one viable reason as to what you liked about the story. This small amount of time spent will no doubt inspire the author to write more and possibly at a quicker pace, knowing that they have a fan base who are waiting on their next works. So thanks for the feedback and please keep it comin.

"Have you two seen Bre?" I asked as I walked up to Chloe and Maxie dancing.

This being the aforementioned Christmas Carnival dance that Bre and I had made plans for and now she was nowhere to be found. I'd ran into everyone else I knew whether I wanted to or not, but still no Bre. I was really getting worried.

"No, for the fourth time," Maxie growled at me. "Now go away and let me dance with Chloe."

"How come you never danced with me?" I asked Maxie randomly.

"Because you never asked," Maxie said as Chloe laughed. "Please Cal?"

"OK, OK, I'm going," I said as I walked off. Passing Mindy and Dakota also dancing and completely lost in each other. I had by this point become resigned to the fact that I was here alone. I left the 'Dance Hall' (Math class) and walked down 'Christmas Way' (main hallway) and watched a few girls play games like ring toss (onto a Christmas tree top), bottle smash (with ornament like balls), bean bag toss and stand-a-bottle. "I might as well go back to the dorm."

"Hey Albert, wait up," I heard as I turned to see Bre coming down the hall in a jog. Dressed casually in her sweats. "So you came?"

"Yes I did and waiting for you," I said.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know it was such a big deal," Bre said as my heart sank in that moment when I realized that this wasn't as big a deal to her, even though it was her idea, as it was to me. "I was helping Coach Plotkowski, field hockey, organize some stuff and got side tracked."

"Yeah well, have a nice night," I said as I attempted to walk off.

"Oh come on, Alby..." She started to say when she touched my arm to stop me.

"And stop fucking calling me Albert," I barked as she stepped back. "My name is Cally, Calista actually, and it really hurts that you didn't even think enough of me to make it here on time like it wasn't even important. It was your idea to come, remember?"

"I didn't wanna..."

"Save it," I said with a hand in the air as I walked off down the hall and left her standing there.

"I thought you two weren't dating?" I asked Patty after Lisa had won her a small stuffed animal at the 'Christmas Tree Ring toss'.

"We don't have to be dating for me to win my best friend a stuffed animal," Lisa answered for Patty.

"And thank you for doing it," Patty said as she hugged the penquin in her arms and smiled at Lisa. "I'm gonna name him Chin-li after my Dad."

"No thank you kiss?" I teased Patty.

"Yeah no thank you," Lisa said as I laughed and the two walked off as Cindy came out of the computer room.

"Hey, how's Cally?" I asked Cindy.

"She's not too good," Cindy said. "She's crying and I don't know what to do. I'm not good in those situations."

"Some wing man you are," I said as Cindy gave me a dirty look. "Kidding."

"I'm starting to really like you don't blow it," Cindy said as I grinned. "Will you go talk to Cally? Maybe you can help her more than me."

"I'll try," I said as I spotted Shelby coming down the hall. "Why don't you go and keep Shelby company?"

"I'm gonna do that," Cindy said as she walked off to meet Shelby.

I went looking for Cally as the two of them walked off laughing like old friends and spotted her sitting in the corner of the computer room mindlessly clicking away on the computer. I was about to join her when I saw Mindy also using a computer though she told me she was going to the bathroom.

"And what are you doing in here?" I asked Mindy as I sat down beside of her. She looked up and grinned.

"I needed to check my email while we were here and you were playing a game with Patty and Lisa so I thought I'd do it now," She said. "Sorry you missed me."

"I didn't miss you," I said as I kissed her cheek.

"Yes you did," She said as she kissed my lips. "And oh yeah check out my new online photo album,"

"That's neat," I said as I saw she'd set up one of those albums on Flickring. "Was it hard to set up?"

"Took a lot of time," She said. "Like an hour now or so plus I missed lunch working on it."

"The I love Kota album?" I asked as I read the titles of the albums.

"Pictures of me and my favorite person in the world," Mindy said as she leaned in and kissed me. "You."

"And my favorite person is you," I said as she grinned. "But one problem."

"What?" She asked as I clicked through the album with mine and her pictures. "You only have 18 pictures of me and you."

"So?"

"Where's the other 147,000 you took?" I asked as she laughed.

"I did not take that many pictures of you, wait, did I?" She asked with a concerned look. "Am I getting annoying?"

"No, because I know how you are when you get a new toy," I said.

"And just how am I?" She asked with hands on hips.

"You play with it continuously when you first get it, all the time," I said, "Like when you got me."

"Yeah but I never get tired of playing with you," She said as we shared a grin.

"And I hope you never do," I said as we kissed again.

"So much for making sure I'm OK," I grumbled as I spotted Dakota now laughing with Mindy in the computer room. "Why are you mad at her for being in love?"

I looked around and wondered why I was so mad. After all, Bre didn't exactly give me any reason to believe this was supposed be some big special night for her. Despite the fact that I had convinced myself of just that very thing. It probably just wasn't as important to her as I had managed to make it to me. And that really sucks.

"AHEM!"

"What?" I asked without looking away from the computer.

"Turn around, Al...Cally!"

"Bre?" I asked in shock after spinning around in the chair and seeing her standing there now looking gorgeous. A short, barely legal dress and her hair done up in a ponytail with braids going everywhere. "What the fuck?"

"I'm sorry," She said simply. But I had other things on my mind.

"You look amazing," I said.

"I do?" She asked as I stood to join her.

"You look amazing," I repeated as I took her hand and lifted it over her head and spun her around like a ballerina as she giggled. Her dress flying up momentarily and showing me she was wearing a pair of red panties. "You did this after you left here?"

"Yes," She said as she still held my hand. "And I froze my ass off on the way over here in this so you better make it worth it."

"I thought this wasn't important?" I asked.

"I didn't think you really liked me and I've never had a girl interested in me before," She said. "True be told I did everything I could to avoid coming here tonight until Coach made me leave because she knew what I was avoiding. But I'm here now and can you please just not be mad at me and dance with me?"

"Nah, I think I'm kinda tired," I said as she gave me a shocked look and giggled when I pulled her over into my arms. "Bre Kelton will you dance with me?"

"I don't have much of a choice now do I?" She asked with a flirty smile as she put her arms around my neck. The music from the 'Dance Hall' playing just loud enough so we could hear it. I offered my smart ass response as she let me wrap her in my arms and we danced cheek to cheek for the next little while. Enjoying the relative peace of the Computer room as opposed to the madness of the 'Dance Hall'. "I love this song."

"Me too," I agreed, "But mostly cause you're here."

"Yeah that does make it better," She said with a sweet smile. "I guess it's just country enough to satisfy my tastes."

"Me or the song?" I asked as she laughed.

"The song," She said. "I haven't gotten to know you that well yet."

"I'm originally from Omaha, Nebraska," I said as she listened. "Figured out I was not normal when I was about 12 and got sent here at the beginning of the year."

"So your Dad sent you here cause your gay?" She asked with an amused smile.

"Well that and I fired a brick through the window of his Mercedes while announcing it," I said and leaving out much of the rest of the story. Bre laughed.

"I see why he sent you here now," Bre giggled.

"What about you?" I asked.

"Mom says I have big emotions and she got tired of dealing with them," Bre said. "She's a single parent and it just got to be to much for her."

"My Dad is too," I said. "Divorced actually."

"Your Mom still back home in Omaha?" She asked as we continued to slowly dance.

"Nope, somewhere in the southwest after running away with the milkman," I said as she gave me a certain look that told me she didn't believe that. "It's true. We used to have milk delivered by this guy named Tyler, everyone of the snobs in our neighborhood did. So, long story short, she met him, loved him and they ran off together."

"She left your Dad who is like a billionaire for a guy delivering milk?" Bre asked in shock.

"I never said she was very smart," I said as Bre laughed.

"And I thought my old man was odd," Bre said. "He went gold mining in Canada and hasn't been heard from since I was like 3."

"That's a good one," I said as we laughed. "Mom used to say about me that I didn't talk till I was 4 but by the time I was 5 she thought I'd never shut up."

"I can see how she'd feel that way," Bre said as I gave her a dirty look and she laughed. "Your Dad agree with her?"

"You tell my old man anything about me he'd probably believe it," I said matter-of-factly. "He thinks I'm pretty much the spawn of satan."

"Then he's a moron," She said as she took my hand as she looked up at the clock and realized we'd been dancing for so long. "Do you realize we've gotta be back to the dorm in like 15 minutes?"

"I know," I said. "I didn't wanna go yet I was having fun."

"Me too," Bre said. "You're really funny and you didn't get nervous and start babbling once."

"I noti...notice...th..that...damn it to hell," I stammered as she started laughing out loud as I blushed. "Next time don't mention it?"

"It's like you can turn it on and off," She laughed as she sat down in a chair across from me as I gave her a dirty look. By now she was literally cackling as she laughed at me. Not that I wasn't enjoying it, I was, but it made me wanna get her back just as bad. "Not...dot...my name is Albert."

"You sound like a hen trying to lay an egg," I said as her laughs stopped and she looked up at me in shock. "Brock, brock, brock."

"I do not," She declared as she stood to confront me. "That was mean."

"And so was you saying I talk to much, calling my dad a moron and making fun of my beloved long lost mother," I fired back.

"Well what I didn't say...you are seriously cute when you get nervous," She said with a smile. "Really adorble."

"Adorable?" I asked as she nodded her head to confirm and stepped closer as she touched her forehead to mine. "And you are really hot."

"If I'm so hot then you should kiss me," Bre said as I grinned and took that piece of advice and kissed her lips softly. She grinned as our eyes met again. "That was really nice."

"Yeah it was," I said as I slipped my arms back around her. "Can I walk you home?"

"I wish you would," She said before kissing me one more time. Such a good kiss too.
