"…What?"

Jessie covered her mouth with her hand as she gasped. Mr. Wong turned around and arched his eyebrows at his son.

"What? Lee, you are too young to get married. What are you thinking? She may be pregnant but it is not your responsibility to marry her" he said strictly.

"It may not be my responsibility but I want too. Dad, I'll be 18 next month and I want to marry Jessie. I love her," he said back just as strongly.

"You love her now! But will you feel the same way about her when you are in College, when you get a better job, when you two move in together and when you are raising a child. Lee, think smartly about this. You are asking a very important question right now".

"Yes…"

Lee and Mr. Wong both looked at Jessie and Lee smiled. "Seriously?" he asked happily.

Jessie smiled and nodded at him. Lee wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her forehead.

"You wanna marry me?" he repeated. Jessie just smiled and kissed him. "I love you Lee," she whispered. Mr. Wong sighed and opened the car door for them.

"I hope you know what you are getting yourself into son" he said, closing the door once they had gotten in. He walked over to the driver's side and stepped inside, closing the door and driving back to their home.

* * < * > * Natalie's House * < * > * *

"He's what?"

"Yes!"

"No!"

"Yes!"

"You're kidding!"

"I wish I was but I'm not"

"She's having a girl?"

"Yeah"

"I could have sworn it would be a boy"

"So could I"

"Natalie…seriously? Lee is marrying Jessie and you're thinking about the baby's sex?"

"Who's having a baby?"

"Brandon! Stop ease-dropping!"

I threw my pillow out the door at him and he quickly ducked down. "Who's having a baby Beck?" he asked again.

"None of your business" I replied. "Not me though" Hope said quickly, raising her hand.

Natalie, Hope, Mark and I were sitting in my room, discussing why our two friends had suddenly decided to get married.

"So Hope's not pregnant. Then who is?" Brandon asked, arching his eyebrows at Natalie and I.

"Natural impossible Brand. Where's Alexis?" Natalie asked, smirking at him. "In the guest room, packing her stuff. Uncle Adam is gonna be here in a few minutes to pick her up" he replied.

"She's leaving?" Mark asked, looking up from his place on Hope's lap. "Yeah. Heading back to New York tonight. She worked things out in Ocean City and I guess…she's happier. I mean, she's been acting happier," I said, leaning back against Natalie.

"That's good. We should talk to Lee and Jessie tomorrow," he mumbled, tossing my tennis ball up in the air.

"I'm packing my bags tomorrow but I should have time" I said. "Where are you two going?" Hope asked, arching her eyebrows at me. "L.A. I already paid for my plane ticket and my mom talked to Natalie's last night. It's official" I replied.

Natalie smiled and kissed my chin. "So, whatever happened to Rachel?" Mark asked. Natalie and I both smirked at each other before I simply said, "Transferred".

"She kept her job?" Hope exclaimed. "Yup but now she's working at the inner city Wal-Mart, which is 35th in 37 Wal-Marts around Baltimore" I said laughing.

"Oh yeah! And she also is being charged for sexual assault against a minor" Natalie said smiling. "Thank God your still 17" Mark sighed, catching the tennis ball before it hit his head.

"I know. This is the one time where I'm actually happy to still be considered a minor" I said smiling.

"By the way, PTTP meeting when we get back in school" Mark reminded me. "Is Chase gonna be there?" I asked, frowning.

"He's still technically is in the club. We can't kick him out unless he wants to quit and I doubt that because his friends are in the club that he will though" he replied.

"He should. We all know Lee is just going to kick his ass again," Hope said.

"I don't know. Lee's matured since he found out about Jessie's baby…I mean, he wants to marry her if that means anything" I said, still trying to figure out how marrying Jessie would benefit Lee.

"They should just stay dating. Why should they get married at 18?" Hope questioned leaning back in Mark's arms.

"Your bet is as good as mine Hope. I'm just trying enjoy the last few days of winter break before we go back to school and then dealing with Homecoming" I said.

"When is Homecoming?" Hope asked. "2 weeks from now. I was gonna try to talk to Melody before things started escalating at the school. I know some people around think I stole Beck from her because we started going out so soon" Natalie replied.

"You guys are in love. I don't think anybody else should care" Mark scoffed. "And if they do. I'll back you guys up…well, just Beck because we all know you can fight your own battles Natalie".

They laughed and I frowned. "Hey! Just cause I got my ass kicked in 7th grade by Martha Drewmen doesn't mean I can't fight" I defended, sitting up to look at him.

"Dude, she kicked your ass all around the block. Do you remember how she dropped you on the street and Lee had to pull her off of you? It was epic!" he exclaimed.

"She weighed like 180 and we were 12!" I shot back, watching as he sat up quickly and laughed.

"No, you were 12. She was 10 and if I remember, you got in one good hit and after that, it was a wrap".

I gave up trying to argue with him and laid back down on my bed. "You were 10 too when that happened, you know" I mumbled.

"Yeah, but I could hold my own back then" he said, laughing before Hope put her hands over his mouth and stifled him.

"What we're saying amiga is that hopefully your fighting style has gotten better" she said, smiling at me.

"Don't worry. I'm sure I can teach her a thing or two" Natalie whispered, leaning over to kiss my neck.

I chuckled and leaned closer into her touch. "Do you think L.A is gonna be able to handle Becca Marie Smith?" Hope teased.

"Did you really have to use my whole name there?" I asked, smiling at her.

"I like your whole name. Becca is cute on you" Natalie replied. "I guess but it doesn't fit me" I said, pulling the blanket closer around us.

"Beck! Lee and Jessie are here!" my dad yelled from downstairs. "Alright! Thanks dad" I yelled back. I heard Lee's loud footfalls followed by Jessie's softer ones.

He opened the door and smiled at the sight of us. "Just like old times huh?" he said, chuckling.

"Yeah, except back then I was single and Jessie wasn't…well, you know" I said nervously.

"You can say it Beck. Pregnant isn't a bad word" Jessie said, sitting on top of me.

I laughed and brought my arms around her, resting my hands on her stomach.

"How is she?" Natalie asked, moving her hand next to mine. "She's alright. I was actually kind of shocked that he told me what the sex was. Apparently, she's developing quite quickly. I just hope she's boring healthy. You know, two hands, ten fingers, two legs, two ear…"

"Pretty much everything that makes up a body" Mark interrupted. Jessie blushed and Lee quickly scooped Jessie back against him.

"So…you're getting married?" I said, trying to ease into the subject. "Beck, don't start" Lee said, glancing over at me.

I put up my hands in defense and quickly shook my head. "I'm not. It was like, a question. Like, are you getting married or are you thinking of getting married?" I asked, covering my lie.

"Beck…" Natalie said laughing. Lee and Jessie were too caught up in each other that they hardly heard what I said.

Mark laughed and I sighed before crawling over next to Natalie and leaning my head on her lap.

"You never answered my question" Hope said. "It's not L.A that I am going there for. I'm going there for this person underneath me," I said yawning.

Natalie smiled and ran her fingers through my hair. "This is turning into a sleepover," Mark laughed, pulling Hope closer on his chest.

"It kind of is but there's nothing wrong with that. Besides, Jessie needs all the sleep she can get" Lee said, pulling my comforter around them.

"Brandon! Wake me up at 8 please!" I yelled. "Bite me!" he yelled back. "What is with you and that phrase?"

Lee laughed and comfortably leaned against his girlfriend before closing his eyes.

We fell asleep together, all bunched up together on the bed. I missed these times. All of us together just enjoying being…together. It had been awhile since we had done something like this and for once…I didn't feel like the 3rd wheel.

"I love you," I whispered, crawling towards Natalie and wrapping her in my arms. She smiled and cuddled closer towards me. "I love you too…" I heard her whisper before we both fell asleep.

* * < * > * Khloe's Apartment * < * > * *

Khloe stared down at Kendra as she slept. How could someone who was raped only several hours ago be so…so calm about it? Of course the girl was rambling but she was talking so much nonsense that Khloe actually started to worry about her sanity.

She arched her eyebrows when she mumbled a name in her sleep. Nack or Nap? Whatever it was, it sounded familiar. Of course Khloe couldn't help but remember that this was the same girl that had ruined her best friend's life.

So why did she help her escape from her "loving" boyfriend's attacks?

"So, why did you bring her to my house? Of all the houses, you bring her to mine. I mean, no disrespect but…really Khloe?" Kyle sighed, shaking his head.

"I can't take her to mine. You know my Uncle would flip out" she shot back, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Yeah, and you know I don't like the bitch and you shouldn't either. She hurt Nat so bad. And you know that Khloe, you watched the whole thing from beginning to end!" he said angrily.

"So, what do you want me to do Kyle? Walk away and let her get raped! She was terrified and I know I did the right thing. What was between her and Natalicious is in the past and you know that. Obviously, Nat has gotten over her and Kendra hopefully has gotten over Nat" she said, sitting down on his couch.

"I don't trust her!"

"She's sick Kyle! One second she was screaming at me to help her and the next, she's screaming at me to let her go before Alex kills me. Kills me, Kyle! I knew there was something wrong with her but I didn't know it was this bad. I didn't know she was this sick. No wonder Natalicious couldn't help her. Nobody at this school can help her except probably a good therapist"

"Fuck you!"

Kyle and Khloe spun around and stared with wide-eyes at a fuming Kendra. She got up from her spot on the couch so fast that Khloe couldn't even tell when the girl grabbed her shirt.

"You don't know me you little piece of shit! Just because you helped me get away from Alex doesn't mean I'll give you any special thanks! You are as worthless to me as the grass I step on and don't think that will ever change! You don't know how I felt about your friend so don't you dare judge me. You have no right to judge me and you absolutely have no right to claim that I need some type of "help". I am fine just the way I am. So get off your ass off the couch and take me home…NOW!" she growled.

Khloe just stared at her while Kyle jumped behind the couch, wondering how Khloe could just sit there without shivering from fear. The brown haired girl chuckled softly, brushing her hand over the freckles on her face.

"Don't talk to me like I'm one of your little groupies. We'll leave…but if you ever try to talk to me like that again, I'll leave your ass on a deserted plain. Understand?"

She got off the couch and walked away casually, like there was never even a discussion. Apparently, Kendra's stubbornness was the same as Khloe's because she didn't back down either.

She grabbed the girl's arm and pulled her back towards her. "I won't be talked to like that either! Do you know who I am? I'm Kendra fucking Daly!" she yelled, glaring her down.

Khloe frowned and stepped toward her until her back was against the wall. She grabbed her by the shoulders and leaned against her.

"Then let's…just…talk" she hissed, before letting Kendra go but not backing away.

"Like normal people" she said, her tone softening. Kyle looked between the two girls before sighing and running his hand through his hair.

"Nats not gonna like this" he mumbled. Khloe glanced over her shoulder at him before realizing that Kendra was hyperventilating. She gave her some space and quickly ran to get her some water.

"You ok?" Kyle asked, putting his hand on her shoulder. "Stop. Don't touch me. I promise I won't see her again. I promise Alex…just please. Don't hurt me again…" she whined, tears streaming down her face.

"Uh…KHLOE!" Kyle yelled, rushing over towards her. "I got it. Stay calm," she said softly, handing Kendra the water.

"Here. Drink this. Shhh. It's alright. Alex isn't here and he's not gonna get you again" Khloe whispered, trying to keep her calm.

"You shouldn't be doing this Khloe. Natalie got wrapped up in this and look what happened to her," Kyle warned.

"She moved to Baltimore and met her new girlfriend who she's now in love with. What's the girl's name again? Beth?" Khloe asked, sitting on the floor Indian-style while Kendra sipped her water.

"Beck but you were close. Either way, this is no laughing matter. That girl is poison and we all know it. Stop this before you get hurt" he replied.

Khloe knew she was walking down a dangerous path. She had seen Natalie lose everything by trying to help Kendra, by falling for Kendra. But she wouldn't fall for the girl. She wouldn't give her heart to her. Because she knew that would lead to disaster.

"Natalie couldn't help her because she loved her…I think I can because I don't," she said, standing up and walking over to him.

"That doesn't make sense, Khloe" he sighed, rubbing his temples. "So what? If Kendra needs help, then I think I should help her. Fuck the past and Natalie has moved on. The girl needs me and you know it" she shot back.

Kyle looked back over at Kendra and watched as the girl rocked back and forth, seemingly talking to herself.

"Alright…just this once, I'll over look the fact that she's Kendra Daly, the girl who fucked Natalie over, and think of her as Kendra Daly, the girl who really needs you…or your help…whatever you wanna call it" he said, rolling his eyes.

Khloe just smiled at him and walked back over to Kendra, kneeling down to look at her. "Do you wanna go home now?" she asked. The blonde just nodded and Khloe tried to pick her up but she wouldn't budge. She sighed and just picked the girl up into her arms again.

"I'll be back later Kyle. Just…don't tell Natalicious. I'll tell her on my own. Promise me?" she asked. Kyle nodded and she opened the door, walking out before readjusting Kendra in her arms.

"I've got you Kendra. Don't worry" she mumbled…just before being hit in the face by a blunt object, dropping Kendra on the ground, and falling out cold.

"Khloe!"

Khloe fell back against the door as she held her nose. Blood was dripping from her lip and she feared the hit had cut her eye because she felt pain around her eyebrow.

Kendra screamed and she felt Kyle quickly pull her back and put his jacket against her face, trying to slow down the blood flow. A boy with shaggy blonde hair quickly grabbed Kendra by her forearm and dragged her to his car.

Kyle was running after the boy and yelling something but Khloe didn't understand what he was saying. She sat down on the steps and held the jacket against her arm, wondering what the hell she was even hit with.

The boy pushed against Kyle and Kyle yelled back before he swung at him, only to miss and have Kyle kick him in the groin. He fell over and he pulled Kendra away from him.

She ran towards her and moved down to her level, pulling back Kyle's now slightly red jacket to glance at Khloe.

"Shit! You're really bleeding! I can't believe he hit you with that fucking bat" she hissed angrily.

It was a bat! It sure as hell didn't fell like one! "A…bat?" she groaned, closing my right eye as it began to swell on me. "Not a real one. One of this small hand bats you give to like 5 year olds but it still hurts all the same I bet. Awww, you have a cut," she said sadly, running her finger over her eyebrow.

Khloe flinched and pulled away from her. Kyle was still hovering over the alleged boy who hit her with a bat and she frowned. "Friend of yours?" she asked. She quickly shook her head.

"He plays baseball with Alex" she replied. Khloe scoffed. "Figures. How'd he know I was gonna be here?" she growled. Kendra shrugged. "Seth doesn't live far from here. He actually lives a couple houses down from Kyle's. He must have seen you carrying me and put two and two together," she said, trying to see her cut again.

"So he hits me with a fucking bat!"

"They did worse to Natalie!"

"Natalie wasn't hit with fucking bats!"

"They broke into her house, destroyed her room, and ruined her reputation"

"No bitch! If you remember, that last one was your fault!"

"Don't call me a bitch, dyke!"

"Who's the real dyke here? Am I the one always between some girl's legs cause I could have sworn that was you?"

"Shut the hell up! That was one time"

"Twice if you count Maggie"

"That was a mistake!"

"I'm sure it was"

"Fuck you Khloe!"

"Sorry, I'm not your type"

She screamed at her in anger before marching off towards "Seth" and pulling him into his car. She flipped Khloe off before taking his keys and driving off.

Kyle sighed and walked over to me as I kicked his door in anger. "That bitch! And to say I was gonna try and help her. Fuck that! Fuck her. Fucking princess," she mumbled, walking back into his house.

"I can't believe he hit you with that bat!" Kyle exclaimed, going to his bathroom and pulling out a medical kit. He dapped alcohol on her cut and she bit my tongue in pain before he put a band-aid on it.

"That was an awful lot of blood. You sure you're alright?" he asked, put his things back into the box and setting them on the ground.

She just nodded and leaned her head back against his couch. "That girl is poison. 5 minutes before I decide to help her out…I get hit with a fucking bat. How crazy is that Kyle?" Khloe said, glancing at him from the corner of her eye.

He just chuckled and turned on the TV. "Nat went through the same thing remember? I tried to warn you".

"I guess now I learned my lesson and she had the nerve to call me a dyke! Me! Seriously, how the hell can she talk with all the shit she's done?" Khloe shot back, standing up quickly before grabbing the couch and falling back down.

"You should get some sleep. There's no way you're driving anywhere until your head feels better" Kyle scolded. She frowned but did as her friend suggested and leaned her head back against his couch.

She didn't know what was wrong with Kendra…but there was just something about the girl that made you wanna help her. No matter how much of a bitch she acted like. She didn't want to admit it, but she would help her if she asked. Something in her was just telling her too. She wouldn't fall for her. She knew that was impossible. It just wouldn't happen…but she knew something was going to happen…very soon.
