I’m up to at least 37 chapters now, not including an Epilogue. Melissa told me to keep writing about her. I must do what she says. She’s kinda dom when she wants to be.

Chapter 27 is now posted. I ended up splitting the chapter in half because of the size. I also want to do a little more work with a new scene I decided to add as well.

As I mentioned in my prior posting, I also now have an editor. His name is Nick. He’ll be looking for things I always miss. He’s already saved me a significant amount of time. This should be one of my “cleanest” chapters ever.

Nick is also putting together a wonderful and extensive timeline for the whole story. He’s also going back and editing my prior chapters, beginning with the first one. I’ll be reposting chapters as I get to them.

Chapter 27 is going to be delayed at least a few days. So look for it around January 23-24. The reason? It’s another huge chapter (about 16,000 words).

I also now have an editor (everybody say hi to Nick!) checking it over. He’ll be looking for things I always miss. He’s also putting together a wonderful and extensive timeline for the whole story. What he’s done so far has been extremely helpful to me. He found a continuity error in Chapter 9 that EVERYBODY else has missed. It was pretty significant. It’s now fixed. I’ve also fixed a mix-up in Chapter 26 concerning Pam’s father. I referred to him as Brent, when it should’ve been Kent. Why the fuck did I pick names so similar to use? Let’s just call it a blonde moment and move on.

Anyway, I hope everyone has broken all their New Year resolutions by now. If you haven’t yet, what the hell are you waiting for?

Chapter 26 is posted. It ended up being over 16,000 words (or about 88k in size). I resisted breaking it up into multiple chapters. Unfortunately, it's a lot to read at one time. Make sure you bring plenty of lube. We don't need any road rashes.

I've addressed a few things in this chapter that readers have been commenting to me about One of them is why I've neglected Julie so much. I hadn't intended to to make Julie a major character. I still don't intend to, but you'll better understand her now. I hinted at her personality a few chapters back (the backyard camp-out chapter ... I'm too lazy to look up which one).

Chapter 27 should be posted around 1/21/12 ... give or take a day or two. A reader has been helping me by developing a detailed timeline for the story. Turns out, I have an extra week to work with before school starts back for Melissa. Knowing her as I do, she won't waste that week when there are secrets to discover.

It's official. Chapter 25 won't get posted until January 7, 2012. I just won't have the time to finish proofing it before next weekend. That sucks.

BUT! As a special holiday treat, I'm posting what would've been the last scene in Chapter 24, if I hadn't whacked it out. I'm calling it "Chapter 25 - The Lost Chapter 24 Scene". Really catchy, isn't it? You better nod your head in agreement even if you don't agree. Nice readers.

I deleted this particular scene from Chapter 24 while proofing it because I didn't think it contributed anything to the story. After realizing yesterday that I wouldn't have time to get the real Chapter 25 finished before December 31, I decided to pull this scene back up from purgatory and tweak it a little. I'm pleased with the result. Santa's even mentioned in it now! Wooohooo! It's a fun scene that picks up pretty much where Chapter 24 left off. A minor secret Andrea has is revealed. Other than that, it's just fun sex.

I've just reposted a corrected version of Chapter 18. There was a rather significant continuity error that a dedicated reader caught when reading Chapter 24. There was a statement in Chapter 18 by Mrs. Thomas that she and Andrea had not ever been paid for sex. I'd written Chapter 18 back in August and posted it in late-September. Around the time, I was heavily focused on adding scenes back into the story (Chapters 22-29) that I'd dropped six years ago. Unfortunately, I missed this continuity problem. It's been fixed by removing the reference completely from Chapter 18.

At the moment, it appears there will be a delay in posting Chapter 25. I'm still shooting for December 31, but things are getting quite busy for me this week, and next week doesn't bode well. My hubby surprised me with a special New Year's Eve present that will occupy all my time late next week. He's a sweetie like that. Hopefully, I'll have time to finish proofing Chapter 25 before then.

I've added Chapter 24 today. I'm working on completing Chapter 25. It's finished except for proofing reading. I'll likely post it on December 31, but it's also very possible it might get delayed a week because of the holidays. Chapters 26-27 are written, but need more cleaning up and proofing. Chapters 28-29 are still my primary focus. They're taking shape quite nicely though.

Jennifer Preston will become a big player in the next few chapters. Melissa will discover that there is more to Jennifer's relationship with Peter than she ever imagined. Are they lovers? Or are they just friends? Is Jennifer hiding a few secrets too?

Melissa will also learn more about her mother firsthand (and vice versa) as they spend a lot more time together during the upcoming weekend.
