In the end they would give up thier wings so others could live.
Even years after the event
whispers still speak their names and what they did.
The men that were known for fighting the devil in flames
now would be known for their courage and drive to save their fellow man.
People never understood till 911
what the fireservice goes through for them.
On that day everyone would know first hand and up close and personal.

that firefighters would and now fight for.
