Just about anything tastes better cooked over open flames, and hot dogs are no exception. We had basic all-beef hot dogs, as well as some gourmet sausages which had to be cooked more slowly, but were worth every bit of the time.
When we were done with lunch, I took the long-handled shovel and dug out an area in the middle of the fire, then set the now-full dutch oven with the pot roast in it in the middle, and put a couple of shovelfuls of coals on top of it.
"How often do we need to stir it?" asked Elise.
"Never," I said. "In about five hours, we'll open it up, give it a stir, and dish it out. Until then, we leave it alone."
"My kind of cooking," laughed Barbara.
"About a half hour before you want to eat, put the biscuits in foil, and put them around the edges of the coals. You'll need to watch them carefully, as they burn easily. Turn them once."
"We can do that. So, Kimosabe, what happens now," said Eva.
"You can do whatever you want, but just about everyone got up earlier than normal this morning, and you've spent a lot of energy already today, and you've just had a good meal. I recommend a nap," I said.
"Is that what you're going to do?"
"Maybe later. I want to check something out," I said, and walked off toward the car with the shovel. I knew Eva was curious, but I was actually hoping Kate would want to come with me. I knew she was still feeling insecure, and I wanted to give her a chance to try to work on me without competition around.
I got my backpack out, and put in work gloves, a blanket, rope, and a flashlight, along with bug spray and sun block. I tied a hacksaw and hatchet and the shovel on the outside.
"Want some help?" came a voice from behind me. It was Kate.
"Yes!" I said, quietly, "I sure do. Get your jeans -- not shorts -- and hiking shoes on, and a long-sleeve shirt. Fill your canteen from the jerry can. Bring gloves if you have them. We could be a couple of hours."
Her eyes widened slightly at that. "Need any others?"
"Nope. You and I can handle it."
"Okay." She didn't ask any more questions, but raced off. I got my jeans and a long-sleeved shirt on, put my sheath knife and canteen at my belt, and some waterproof matches in my pocket, along with a space blanket and some bandaids. It wasn't much, but I wasn't expecting trouble.
I put on a hat, picked up my pack and got it on, and walked up by the fire. Eva and Elise were sitting by the fire, drinking coffee, and they looked up, curiously.
"What do you have in mind?" said Elise.
"I saw something this morning that I want to check out further," I said. "It's probably nothing, but I'm curious. I may be a couple of hours."
"You must have SOME idea of what you are looking for. You are carrying an awful lot of equipment for just a jaunt," said Eva. "Should you go by yourself?"
Just as she said that, Kate came up, with jeans and long shirt, and carrying her canteen.
"Kate will help," I said.
"But what are you looking for?"
"I'd rather not say," I said. "At this point, it's nothing more than a silly hunch, but I'm curious, and I'm not going to be able to rest until I figure it out."
I started off down the trail. "See you!"
Kate came along beside me. "Do you want me to carry any of that?"
"No, I'm fine. This is hardly anything, and we aren't going far. Actually, there are about four things I want to look at or do, but we'll start with the biggest one, at least in my mind."
"You do know, don't you, that they are being eaten up with curiosity back there?"
"Of course," I said, and chuckled. "Aren't you?"
"Yeeees," she said, drawing it out. "Are you going to tell me?"
"Nope. I thought I'd just show you what I noticed, and see what it suggests to that brilliant mind of yours."
She stopped dead, and looked at me funny. "You know, Danny, sometimes I have a hard time telling when you are joking."
I smiled at her. "I'm NOT joking. Who gets my jokes a second faster than anyone else? Who is the fastest in our group to pick up on new possibilities inherent in a situation?"
"You are."
I laughed. "I don't know about that, but I'm not planning to go to Yale to study pre-med."
We continued to banter and chat, as we hiked on down toward the bluff. When we got there, I took Kate up the ridge and to where I saw the peg in the rock. I pointed out the peg, and asked her if it suggested anything to her.
She frowned at it. "It's a peg, isn't it?"
"Yeah."
"Do you know what it was for?"
"Yes. Some of this is not fair to you, unless you've spent a lot more time in the woods. It's a peg to hold a step, so someone coming up the rock here won't slip. The step is gone, but that's what the peg is for."
"Does that mean a trail is here?"
I grinned at her. "I said you were smart. Look that way, and see if you notice anything."
"Is that a trail?"
"Yes -- or it used to be. Go to the head of the class. That's what I was exploring when I disappeared up here. I'd like to go on up this trail, but I want to be careful not to break branches and such."
"Why not?"
"Call it part of my stupid hunch. I don't want anyone who looks in here to see that someone has been this way. I want you to hold the branches back, so I can walk through them with the pack and things, without breaking them off. Then you can come through behind me, letting the branches come back. Don't let them bend far enough to show that they have been bent."
She did, very carefully, and we went on up the trail. It was just pine needles, so we walked very quietly, and did not leave footprints.
When we came to the little square clearing, she stopped with me, and looked around. "It looks like something was here."
"Yes. Hence my curiosity."
"A shack, maybe?"
"That's what I thought, at first, but there's no debris. Even if it rotted and fell down, there should be boards, or shingles, or something. Instead, there is just this little clearing."
I set down my pack, and began to dig down through the pine needles at the edge of the clearing with my gloves. Kate knelt down beside me, and in a few minutes, we had gone down about eight inches. I was just about to decide we were looking for nothing, when I encountered concrete.
"Aha!" I said, softly.
We started to move toward the center, scooping debris off with our gloved hands. It seemed to be a flat concrete pad, until we got about two feet in from the side. Then there was a rising wall of concrete, ending just under the surface, with an iron top. There were only about three inches of needles and such on top of the iron.
As we started to uncover it, it became obvious that it was a manhole cover. I asked Kate to start filling in the trench we had dug out, as I cleared off the top.
"What do you have in that pack?" she said.
"Among other things, rope and a flashlight."
Her eyes were shining. "You thought we'd find something like this?"
"I thought it was a possibility. Let's see if I was right about the rest."
"Tell me the rest. What else are you expecting?"
"Either a weapons cache, a drug cache, or a survival bunker. The last is most likely, but if it is that, I would expect some weapons to be in here as well. That's a guess, but I think it's a pretty good one."
Laughing, Kate launched herself at me to kiss me. I was delighted with that, too. In a few moments, we were making love on the blanket. As much as Kate wanted to go fast and hard, though, I took everything very slow, and as tender as I could manage. Here I was, very horny, with a really horny girl who wanted me to put it in her RIGHT NOW and go hard and fast, and yet, what I wanted to do, was get to it very slowly, and to keep going slowly, however much she kept asking me to go faster. That was what I wanted to do with her.
She was trembling before I entered her, and she was weeping most of the time I was in her. They were definitely happy tears, though. Despite her enthusiasm for sex, I think this was the most intensely sexual moment she had ever experienced in her life.
It was pretty intense for me, too. Her mind really was the most sexy part of her, and knowing that she saw the possibilities as quickly as I did, and shared my love of life and zest for sex, was much of what made her so sexy to me.
When we both came, it was slow, tender, and so passionate that I thought my heart would explode. We both wept through our orgasms. After, I held her to me, and just kissed her tenderly. She looked at me with eyes that were fully as happy as Lita's had been, now certain of her beauty and of my place in her life.
Neither of us were sleepy, though, with a mystery like that beneath us. After just a couple of minutes of enjoying the after-glow, we got up, shared another tender kiss, got our clothes back on, and started to see if we could get the lid off.
As we were scraping the rest of the debris off the lid, Kate said, "Danny?"
"Yes, beloved?"
She actually shivered head to toe. "I love it when you call me that! I was going to ask, how did you know to go slow with me, when all I've ever talked about was hard and fast?"
"Did you know you would react that way to it?"
"No way. How could you know, though?"
"I was just following my pecker. That's just what he wanted to do."
She stopped, with her mouth half open in a half-smile, and looked at me. Then she shook her head, and said, softly, "I thought Barbara was crazy, before, but I wasn't going to say so." Another shiver ran through her whole body. "Now I wonder if she may have known more about us all than any of us."
The lid turned out to have a hinge. The side opposite the hinge was locked with an old brass padlock. I had brought the hacksaw with me, so I went to work on the lock. It was another 45 minutes of hard work before I got the lock cut open.
When I lifted the hatch, I was pleased to see that it could be locked open, and also that it could be unlocked from the inside. Just to be certain it didn't close on us, though, I tied a line from the hatch to a tree.
There was a ladder descending from the top down into the darkness. I got the flashlight and shined it down there, and could see a hallway floor about twenty-five feet down.
I took the flashlight, collected a kiss for luck, then climbed on down. The ladder rungs were solid and sound. About halfway down, I stopped and shone the light around. There still wasn't anything to see.
When I got down to the bottom, I looked around. The corridor ran off into darkness in one direction, farther than the flashlight could reach. Dust was thick on the floor.
In the other direction, it ran for about twenty feet, before it widened to an open carpeted area, in front of a pair of glass doors.
I looked up at the circle of light framing a head, twenty feet above me. "Come on down!"
"Were you right?"
"I think maybe so, but come on!"
I held the light on her, while she climbed on down. Kate was very competent, climbing, and heights did not bother her. In a moment, I collected another kiss and set her down.
She was awed at the apparent size of the place. "What do you think we should do?"
I thought about it. "I think we should always stay together, move very carefully, watch for traps and other dangerous things, and just generally find out where everything is. Also, try to locate water sources, electrical panels, switches and the like, but don't try to turn ANYTHING on."
"Worried we might set off a bomb?"
"No, worried we might set off a detector circuit in the house, either owned by the drug lord and never found by the Feds, or watched by the Feds. I expect this place had power and water, but I don't want to turn them on until I can be pretty sure it isn't being monitored.
"Let's see how much we can cover before the flashlight gives out."
We walked down to the glass doors. There was a louvered double door to one side, and a little hallway on the other. The glass doors were very dusty, but it was clear the area on the far side was a kind of living room - more like a great room - with a large desk in the corner.
After looking carefully around the louvered door for switches, I opened it. "Jackpot!"
It was an electrical panel, water heater, and utility closet. There was a large main breaker, labeled "to house." There didn't seem to be anything complicated about it. The rest of the closet had a vacuum cleaner and some cleaning supplies.
The little hallway ended in a small office, that was closed but unlocked. It had a telephone, a desk, a bank of TV screens, a cot, and a bathroom. "I'm guessing this was for the guards," said Kate.
"Yeah, I agree."
There was a large dry cell flashlight lantern on the desk. It was dead, but there were four spare dry cells in the drawer. I swapped out the battery, and we had a powerful lantern. I gave the flashlight to Kate.
"Ready to look in the big room?" she said.
"Almost. Let's go see how far that hallway goes in the other direction first."
The hallway ran back another hundred feet or so, before turning a corner. Several doors were off of it, with cryptic markings on them, like 1C3.
"This feels like a business or commercial area," I said. "I wonder if this is where he conducted a lot of his business."
"That makes sense. I'm wondering where he planned to live, if this was a survival bunker."
"Me, too," I said, as we turned the corner, and found ourselves going down a ramp. It wasn't a steep ramp, and the corridor, like the first one, was a good ten feet wide.
I frowned for a minute as I walked. "Kate, where were the rungs in relation to the lake?"
She stopped, and we both puzzled out where the ladder rungs were, and which way we'd been facing. When we worked it out, we thought we were headed directly toward the lake.
After walking a distance which felt like it must have put us all the way into the lake, the corridor came to an end. There were three alcoves off of it. The first two were fairly small. One opened to an office much like the security office at the other end, but it had several rooms off it. One was a pantry, one was a small kitchen, one was a bathroom and shower, one was a closet with paper products, one was a room with eight bunks, and closet space, and one was a room like a large walk-in closet, about half full of automatic weapons.
"Oh, baby," I said. "There is some seriously sexy gear here."
The room had a closet, which contained explosives, and various other types of mayhem equipment. On the other side of the room was another small closet, with timers, detonators, fuses, and other things you wouldn't want to keep in with the explosives, until you were ready to actually blow something up.
"This is quite an arsenal," said Kate, awed. I could see her nipples poking through her shirt.
"This isn't the arsenal," I said. "This is just the guard shack, and these are the guards' weapons."
"You think there's MORE?"
I nodded. "Lots more. We'll know it when we see it." I turned to look at her. "Think of it this way. Whoever built this place has more money than he can burn through in ten lifetimes, and has lots of really powerful and dangerous enemies. This is clearly not only a hidden place of business, it is intended to be fortress where he could hide, with all his guards and his women, for as long as needed, but also defend, if needed.
"I'm betting there is enough food and space here for twenty people to live in real comfort for a year, maybe longer."
"That's a long time."
"Yeah. Maybe it was never finished. Let's keep looking."
The pantry had mostly MREs. Military surplus, and they had just expired, so they were probably all still good for another ten years.
The second alcove was clearly a watch room. "This would have been where the guards watched the main entrance."
Kate nodded, with an aha expression. "I should have realized no multi-millionaire would want to come in and out through that ladder!"
We walked across to the third alcove. It was a good fifteen feet across, and ten feet high. We stepped into it, and I said, after flashing the lantern around, "turn off your flashlight," and turned off the lantern.
In the total darkness, we stood for just a moment, until we could see the faintest of light, coming from the far side of the room. It wasn't quite a rectangle, but there was definitely something there our eyes could see.
I snapped the lantern back on, and went over. There was a big wheel on a steel door, like a hatch on a submarine. I looked around for tell-tales, and then turned the wheel, unlocking the door. I started to pull the door, and it screeched. I looked around, and sure enough, there was an oil can. I oiled the hinges, and worked it a bit, and that big door swung open almost noiselessly, and we were looking out into a sunny day.
In front of us, all we could see was part of the hill, and some flat rock, and just a bit of the water. I cautiously stepped out onto the rock, and looked around. We must have been at the base of the bluff. I looked behind me, and the door was rock, just like the rock next to it. Once it was closed, it would be practically invisible.
The shore just beyond the rock was irregular, but looking from this perspective, you could see that something had scooped out the shore right here, so there was relatively deep water right next to the flat rock. I stepped all the way to the water's edge, and looked left. I could see the house across the lake.
"This must be where they brought in supplies, I said, pointing to the scooped-out area. I'll bet there is a boat around here that exactly fits that spot."
"No bet," said Kate.
I looked around. The air was fresh and clean, here, and we were in the shade. "Wait here," I said, and went back in. I got a mattress and a blanket from the guardroom bunkhouse, and brought them out onto the rock. I got the blanket laid out on the mattress, and then picked up Kate, and laid down with her on it. She was radiant, as she realized we were going to make love again.
We made love again, as tender and slow as before, and it affected Kate even more powerfully than the last time. When we were done, and I had finished drying her tears and snot with my shirt, I held her until she was completely at peace.
She stroked my chest, as she lay there. "Sometimes," she started, then shivered.
"Sometimes what, beloved?"
"I don't know. I'm just being a silly girl."
I kissed her tenderly again, and she started to tremble, then hugged me fiercely. "I love you so much," she said.
"And I you, beautiful. Have you figured out what makes me want to make love to you yet?"
She looked up at me and smiled. "Actually, no, I haven't, but I must be doing SOMETHING right."
"That you have, indeed," I said, softly. "Would you like a hint?"
She smiled, and thought for a moment, then said, "no. I want to figure this out on my own."
I laughed, and started kissing her again, and in a moment, she was amazed and delighted by the fact that I wanted to make love to her a third time. It was another thirty minutes or so, before we were done. I figured I'd better get her inside before she floated up into the sky out of pure happiness. I told her so, and she giggled in a way that sounded drunk.
We went in, and I oiled the hinges again before closing the door, but it swung smoothly shut, and probably would have, anyway. I spun the wheel to lock it. We left the mattress and blanket there by the door, in case we felt like doing that again.
"Notice that there doesn't seem to be any way to open this from the outside? It's very clever, really. A guard has to climb in the top entrance to be able to open this, to let anyone in."
"I'll bet it was never unoccupied," said Kate. "I'll bet they didn't abandon it until after the Feds seized it."
"No bet," I said, and laughed.
We stopped back in the guard room, and I picked up a .45 automatic that looked to be in good condition, along with several boxes of ammo, a holster, and a half dozen full clips, which I threw in a ballistic bag that was in the closet. A cleaning kit was there, too, so I grabbed that.
"Should you be taking all that?" Kate asked.
I thought about it. "Who owns it? If this whole place is Elise's property, I'll ask her permission before taking it out of here. Otherwise, it isn't evidence of anything. I certainly don't want to return it to the drug lord, and I also don't think the government has any lawful claim. As far as I'm concerned, it's either Elise's property, or it's salvage."
"Do you think the government would see it that way?"
I looked sharply at her. "Of course they wouldn't, but I'm betting they don't even know this place exists, or they would never have used it for a witness protection home. Just because someone SAYS they have a right to take what belongs to others, that doesn't mean they DO.
"Actually, I think the whole RICO thing is one of the worst abuses our government has come up with yet."
I shook my head. "Sorry, I'm preaching. Yes, I'm going to take this, and no, I don't think the government would let me take it if I asked them, but since I don't think it is either their property or any of their business, I don't plan to ask them."
Kate just nodded, and we walked back up the corridor, which we could now see was designed to allow heavy carts of some kind to be rolled up it. About halfway up, we passed a door we had missed coming down. It was armored like a bank vault, but it was wide like the corridor, and it was standing open.
"I wonder if there might have been product in there," I said.
"Drugs?"
"Yeah."
We looked around, and there was nothing but heavy commercial shelving. It was a mini-warehouse.
"It looks like they got it all out before they scampered," I said. "That's a good thing."
"Why is that a good thing?"
"Because it means they aren't coming back for it."
There was nothing else in the vault.
We walked on back up to the upper floor.
As we passed the ladder going up, I shone the lantern past it, and got a surprise. There was another corridor going back from there. We went back a bit, and looked in the first open door.
It looked like a comfortable hotel room, but without any windows. There were about a dozen of them, going down to the end of the hall. All of them were on the right side. Each room had a king-sized bed, a closet, a TV, a desk, a phone, and a bathroom with a shower. Each also had a table which could seat a half dozen.
"They definitely did a lot of business here," I said.
It was time to go back through the glass doors. They were unlocked. We walked in, and we were in a huge room. It was forty feet across, and eighty feet long. The ceiling was ten feet. There was a massive desk in one corner, with loads of polished wood.
Under all the dust, there were expensive and comfortable leather couches and chairs, covered with drop cloths. In the center of the room was a huge jacuzzi, which had, it looked like, been drained. "I think you could have an orgy for everybody in there," said Kate.
I patted her ass. "My kind of girl," I said, and she wiggled in pleasure.
Along the back wall was the biggest liquor display we had ever seen. I didn't know what was what, but I found a bottle of something that said it was 21 years old, so I took it, along with four glasses. Kate wrapped the glasses in napkins, and carried them.
There was a wooden cabinet next to the liquor, that was locked. I thought about it for a moment, then went across to the desk, which was also locked. I looked under the desk, and there was, sure enough, a key taped to the underside. It opened the desk, and in the top-right drawer was another key, that turned out to open the walnut cabinet.
That cabinet had just two things in it, more liquor and guns. The liquor was stuff like Napolean brandy, and the guns were what I was guessing were the personal pieces of the drug lord. There were some elephant guns, and some scoped deer rifles, and several others.
I didn't want to take anything out of there, so I put everything back where I had found it. Beyond that room, which was probably where he did his personal entertaining, there was a smaller living room, and then a huge master bedroom, complete with another full bar, and a half-full bottle of some kind of brandy that looked good, but not as expensive as the stuff in the walnut safe.
The bed was a full twenty feet across. We just stared at it for ten seconds, before I said, "another weekend. We'll have to get the dust out of here and figure out how to safely turn on the power, first."
"Okay, okay."
The bathroom was as magnificent as the bedroom. There was a four-person jacuzzi, also dry, and a bidet, and a stand-up tub, and a shower big enough for eight, and lots and lots of mirrors. Off the bedroom was a closet that was an entire room. There wasn't much in the way of clothing in there, which puzzled me, until I realized this was just his hidey-hole, not his main home.
He certainly put more effort into the hidey-hole than he did his home, by what I could see.
While I was puzzling over the closet, I heard something that seemed normal, then brought me up short. It was a toilet flush! I darted back out and into the bathroom, where Kate was washing her hands at the sink.
"We have running water?"
"Apparently."
What the hell. I used the toilet, too. It was filling up normally, and was ready to flush again by the time I was done.
"Wow."
"Let's still not drink any water from these taps yet. We don't know how long it's been sitting in the pipes."
"Right."
"Have we seen enough?"
"I think so."
"Let's go."
We headed out through the master bedroom, but then I stopped. Kate saw me stopped, then saw what I was looking at. I looked up at the ceiling, and saw the big mirror. I looked back at Kate, and her eyes were sparkling again.
We pulled the dust cover off the bed, then made love on the silk sheets. Not only did the silk feel incredible, but Kate went wild over being able to watch me thrusting into her in the mirror.
When we were all done, and the sheets had dried, we covered the bed again and left. "I just had to try that," I said.
"Me, too!"
When we climbed up out of the hatch, we were surprised to see that it was not far from sunset. We had been gone for almost four hours. "I hope they haven't totally freaked out," I said.
It was a bit past four hours by the time we got back to the campsite. I had insisted we cover the hatch up completely, just in case we had hit a tell-tale we didn't know about.
I had intended to try to triangulate across through the woods to the trail, but with the late hour, there just wasn't time. We went down to the bluff, and back up the trail from there.
They were, indeed, frantic with worry, and they were relieved to see us back, but they needed to calm down a bit. I suggested that we had just the thing, and we pulled out the brandy and the four shot glasses, and passed around the drinks.
To us youngsters, it just felt harsh and strong, like any liquor does, but the mothers had a very different reaction. They got big smiles when they tried it. Maria, who was a gourmet chef, gave a snort of disbelief.
"Let me see that bottle!" I showed it to her. "This is more than a thousand dollars a bottle! Where did you get it?"
"It's a long story," I said, "and we'll tell it all, but first, is the pot roast done?" I knew by the smell that it was.
We served it all out, and it was fantastic, as it always was. The last hour, they had put in rolls in foil. By the time we had finished it all, everyone was stuffed.
I threw more wood on the fire and built it up so we would have lots of coals later, and lots of light now. We all sat around it, and everyone was snuggled lovingly with someone else.
"So, Danny and Kate, what's the story?" asked Eva. "It sounds as though you two had quite an adventure."
"We sure did!" said Kate. I noticed that she was looking like the cat that ate the canary.
"Before we go into the story, though," I said, "Elise, can you tell us if you are the actual owner of this property, or do you just lease it?"
"I'm the actual owner," she said. "They had it, and they didn't want to keep it, so they just handed it to me. I pay the taxes out of the stipend I get that is supposed to be my husband's property. I can't actually sell it for another 20 years, but that's just because they don't want me wandering around where I would get killed. It's mine."
"That's really good news, then." I said. "The short version, Elise, is that the drug lord left a secret bunker here, where he not only planned to survive an attack or hide from his enemies, but where he apparently conducted some of his business.
"It looks like the Feds never found the place, or even knew it was here. We were guessing that it was occupied when the property was seized, as it looks like a lot of valuable stuff was stored in there, including drugs, but all the drugs were cleared out, along with papers and anything that might be criminal evidence.
"They did leave a lot of stuff behind, though, including a ton of liquor, a bunch of food, and some weapons.
"There is a thick layer of dust over everything. It doesn't look like anyone has been in there for years."
"He hasn't told you the best part," said Kate, and her eyes were sparkling. She told everyone about the luxury suite and the twenty foot bed.
Everyone wanted to go right away and all sleep on the big bed -- ESPECIALLY all the moms -- but Kate managed to convince them that the dust would be too much.
"There are a couple of things we need to do, too, before we should go back there," I said. "We need to find the electrical connection from the house, and make sure there are no visible tell-tales on it, and then we need to turn that on. We also need to check out the water that is in there, and see what kind of purity it has."
I hesitated. "What kind of staff do you have on a Saturday night?"
"Usually just Maggie," said Elise, "but I gave her and the gardener the weekend off, from Friday afternoon on. Neither of them will be back until Tuesday morning."
"Then why don't we go down to the house at first light tomorrow, and see if we can locate the electrical connection to the bunker? If we can find it, we should be able to see if there is an obvious tell-tale on it. If there isn't one, we should be able to throw the switch and just power things on in the bunker."
"Shower dibs!" called out Donna, to everyone's laughter.
"Once we have power," I went on, chuckling, "we can go in there and explore the whole place, top to bottom. We'll need to be careful, because there is an awful lot of dust, but we might be able to find equipment in there that will let us filter out the dust.
"Elise, who pays your power bill? Is it directly to the power company, or does it go through a third party?"
"I pay it, directly to the power company," she said. "Am I really going to have a whole bunker to use? Is it really that big?"
Kate just laughed. "Elise, if it were not for the dust, I think we could all eleven of us move in there, and stay for about five years, before we ran out of anything."
