With the Barèges disappointment behind me, I was back into the coziness of my little town, a little less cheerful and damn too disappointed. The only place I knew where I could speak my mind freely without being judged was my second-home, the boylove discussion board.

So there I was as usual, behind my computer screen. I logged in to the group and wrote down everything that had happened with me on my Barèges adventure. Two days later, I logged in to see that I had 5 personal messages waiting with the title: Re: Barèges.

The first message was from one of my closest online friends, a half-Italian, Half-French guy with the screen-name bgrules, it read:

Hey man,

Sorry to hear about what had happened, I really wish if there's anyway I can help you, I'm a plumber and I'm very good with fixing things up, however I'm in Italy now and France is like 1000  miles away. Anyways, I hope things turn out well enough for you…

Peace

The second message was from André, who was a familiar user which I have had lengthy discussions with, it read:

Patrick!

Listen man… I know it sounds weird and all, we haven't even met and I don’t think any of us has the guts to show up, however I just wanted to let you know that in case you ever needed anything, I'm here for you man… honestly! Cheers…

And the list went on, all five messages were from my 'inner-circle' if I can say so, we have had so many discussions that we virtually knew everything about each other, our likes and dislikes, our age of preference regarding boys, our aspirations in life and our sexual fantasies. Although unrealistic, all these people offered support and stated that they were ready to help. "nothing but sympathy talk" I thought to myself.

A few days later, I was watching a movie about a bunch of kidnappers who hijack a school bus and take all the passengers hostages, then ask for a zillion-dollar ransoms. That was when it struck me, my Eureka moment… "yeah, why not… damn it… it could… maybe… ah hell…hmm, I'll pull a few strings."

I had a plan, something monumental that would change my life for ever. But I needed help, I needed people I knew and I could count on…. I needed the five guys from the discussion group. Hesitant but excited, I wrote a personal message to the bunch of five which included a plan that could only be forged by a demented and twisted brain.

"Guys

What I am going to suggest might ruin the friendship that I had established with you over the past couple of years, however… in this insane and unfair planet, I or we would be fools if we choose not to live our lives to the fullest… we only live once, or so I have read.

I am going to propose a plan, which will turn your entire lives upside down if you chose to accept. I am offering the five of you to be accomplices in a scheme that I am willing to execute. As you all know I have inherited a very large house in Barèges which is very remote, and the nearest village is probably a fifteen minute drive by car. And as you all know as well, that wherever there are towns, villages and cities, there are kids, and there are boys… beautiful boys.

I am a craftsman and a carpenter, I can repair everything related to wood & carpentry in that house by myself. Bgrules is a plumber, which means that he can fix the plumbing by himself. André, you're an electrical engineer, fixing up a few bulbs and naked wires should be a walk in the park for you. Jean, you're a pediatrician, you're invaluable. Michel, you're a former cop… we're gonna need you. Julien, you were in the god damned Gulf war… you're an asset not to be missed.

Below is my plan… "

In details, I wrote what I believed was a perfect plan which you will find about later on, then I ended the message with this:

"Once again, I'm not sure If any of you is fool enough to accept, and somehow I expect that most of you would want nothing to do with me after you read this message, however… it was worth a try, I'll be waiting for your replies impatiently.

Sincerest wishes, Pat. B

As soon as I pressed the send button, feelings of fear and uncertainty began sweeping my already sick brain, what if one of them was not what he said he is… what if my message reaches the wrong hands… what if….

The next evening, I came back from work and headed straight towards my computer and logged into the group, as I have guessed I had five replies. Reading the first reply proved to be a shock, reading the second only made the shock even bigger and all the way down until I had read the five letters, almost breathless…

I read each reply twice, just to make sure that my eyes are functioning right and that my mind is not playing games on me. Each one of the letters had three words I needed to read the most "count me in".
