"Tammy,
I'm home," John yelled out as he walked through the front
door. "We're city champions!"
"That's
nice, dear. I'm in the kitchen, come and see what I got today,"
Tammy answered.
"I'll
be there in just a second. Let me change and take a quick shower
first," he shouted back as he climbed the stairs. He sat
on the king size bed adorned with a fluffy feather comforter and
took off his shoes. His team had just won the city's age thirty-forty
basketball championship, and instead of celebrating with his buddies
at their favorite hangout, Box Seats, he went home to be with
his wife. John already knew what Tammy had in the kitchen, he
didn't even have to look. It was another get-rich scheme somebody
had sold her or that she found in the back of a magazine. It happened
at least once every few months.
First there
was Amway, and everybody knows what happens with Amway. Then she
convinced him to invest in an ostrich farm. The market for ostrich
steaks never grew as much as Tammy expected. After John tasted
them, he knew why.
Then there
was the parakeet breeding. After John realized how many feathers
fall off one single parakeet, let alone a hundred of them, he
was sure that his house would be knee-deep in feathers in no time.
Fortunately, he collected enough feathers for two very comfortable
parakeet feather pillows and one parakeet feather comforter before
Tammy sold the birds and recouped some of her investment.
As John stood
in the warm water of the shower, he tried to think of some ingenious
argument to dissuade Tammy from losing more of his hard earned
money. It wasn't as if he didn't bring home good money, as Vice
President of the local bank, he brought home more than enough
money to provide Tammy and himself with a comfortable lifestyle.
John suspected the real problem was Tammy's ego. With her personality,
she felt the need to provide for herself, but lacked the ambition
to hold a full time job.
John tried
telling Tammy that she couldn't invest any of their money in any
crazy schemes, but she cried and cut him off from sex for a week,
until he finally gave in and let her invest in the disposable
clothing company. That did much better than John ever thought
it would, at least Tammy didn't lose her investment within the
first month. Tammy even bought a few hundred white T-shirts and
underwear for herself and John; it was nice not having to wash
clothes as often and always having a new pair of underwear to
wear. They threw them in the garbage after Tammy got caught in
the rain without an umbrella, suddenly discovering that the paper
T-shirts and bras dissolved in water, leaving Tammy in the middle
of Grant Park wearing only her jeans.
The first
thing John noticed when he walked into the kitchen were the boxes
stacked everywhere, covering the floor and the kitchen table and
chairs. "Tammy, are you in here?" he asked as he searched
for her.
"I'm
over here, under the kitchen table. It's the only spot I could
find to sit until you came home and volunteered to move these
boxes for me."
John looked
at his wife. Her short blonde hair framed her round face as she
intently studied the papers on the clipboard she held in her hand.
"You could have sat in the living room, honey," he said.
"But
I've been thinking about how I'm really going to make money this
time, and I can think better when I'm near the stuff I'm investing
in," Tammy answered as she pulled herself from under the
table and tenderly kissed John's lips.
"I know,
sometimes you still smell like a wet parakeet," John answered
as he returned her kiss and winked.
"Oh
be quiet, John. It's your stupid pillow and comforter that smell
like wet parakeets, not me. Anyway, this time I'm really going
to make money," Tammy said as she gave her husband a big,
confident smile.
"That,"
John answered, "would be nice for a change, honey. So what's
in the boxes, and why so many?" he asked, not really wanting
to know the answer. Knowing his wife, it could be anything from
anvils to zebra furs.
"There
was a minimum order, and I'm not telling you what's in the boxes,"
she answered. "It's a surprise. I've already invited a couple
of friends over tonight for a..."
"How
many is a couple, honey?" John interrupted.
"Not
many, just a few, about six," Tammy answered hesitantly.
"Six
is not a couple or even a few."
"I didn't
say that ten was a couple, John. I said that I invited ten couples."
Tammy answered brightly.
"But
you said that you had invited a couple - oh never mind,"
John answered, not wanting to let Tammy have a chance to prove
her logic. She wasn't right, but John had learned long ago not
to question Tammy's logic. She always managed to confuse him.
He usually ended up so flustered that she could convince him that
one plus one equals ten. "So what's in the boxes?" he
asked as he reached for the nearest box and began opening it.
Tammy playfully
slapped her husband's hand and he pulled it away from the box,
wincing as he shook it. "Don't you dare touch that,"
Tammy said with a giggle. "I told you, it's a surprise. How
can I tell you if it's supposed to be a surprise?"
"C'mon,
Tammy. Tell me what's in the boxes so I can figure out what we're
gonna do with this stuff after we find out what's wrong with it
and can't get rid of it."
"No,
it's a surprise," she said defiantly as she looked at the
clipboard, "Put them all in the living room, pile them up
against the wall."
John carried
the boxes into the living room, surprised at how little the boxes
weighed. He jiggled one, trying to find a clue about what was
inside and heard something like metal cans rattling around inside.
As John made
his way into the kitchen for two more boxes, he overheard Tammy
talking on the phone to her best friend, "C'mon Leslie, you
owe me a favor," she pleaded. "Please Leslie. Terry
and Kourtney have already volunteered. Please. . ." she begged.
"Great. Be here at seven, and don't tell Bill. Bye,"
she said before she quickly hung up the phone.
John tried
to piece the clues together. He knew that it had to be something
silly, after all, it was one of Tammy's ideas, and for some reason
it was a big secret from him and Bill, and probably Terry's and
Kourt's husbands too. The quantity of boxes led him to believe
that Tammy was selling something this time, but what?
The doorbell
rang, and as John walked toward the front door, he heard Tammy
yell at him, "Can you get that John? It's probably the caterer."
Caterer?
John thought as he opened the door.
"Caterer,"
a man in a white jumpsuit announced with a smile. "Where
do you want to put the tables?"
"Just
put it up over there, I guess," John answered with a shrug
as he pointed toward the living room.
John sat
on the couch and watched the caterer bring in the tables, then
watched as they brought in more tables. Finally, they brought
in the food, the smell of fried chicken filled the air. John opened
a foil container, pulled out a drumstick and listened to Tammy
continue to talk on the phone as he chewed on the overcooked chicken.
"You've
moved all the boxes already?" Tammy asked a smile when she
noticed him relaxing on the couch, "And leave the food alone,
that's for the guests."
John slowly
shook his head in bewilderment and returned to the kitchen. He
carried the last two boxes into the living room, nearly colliding
with the caterers as they carried another table into the house.
He put the boxes next to the others, sat on the couch, and turned
on the television.
Tammy had
one more call to make; everything was going perfectly so far.
This time, she was going to make money and prove everybody wrong.
All of her friends had agreed to participate in her plan. Some
of them needed their arms twisted a little before agreeing, but
in the end, they all agreed to help. What's a little blackmail
between friends? She looked in the yellow pages, found the number
she was looking for and dialed it, "Box Seats Sports Bar,"
answered a young woman.
"Can
I talk to George please?" Tammy asked cheerfully.
"Hold
on," she replied. "Hey George, it's for you!" Tammy
heard the girl yell.
"This
is George," the owner of the sports bar answered after a
few minutes.
"Hi
George, this is Tammy Alvaretto."
"Hi
Tammy. How are you and John?"
"We're
fine. I need a favor though," Tammy asked apprehensively.
"For
you Tammy, anything. As long as it doesn't involve ostrich steaks,
disposable T-shirts or parakeets."
"I'm
really sorry about all of those birds flying around your bar,
anyway, I didn't open the cage doors, and the ostrich steaks would
have sold eventually, and you did get a lot of publicity during
the Taste of the Town when your waitresses T-shirts and bras dissolved.
Anyway, this one's an easy favor -- no risk involved at all."
"Before
I tell you yes; I want to know what the favor is," George
answered anxiously.
"C'mon
George. When have I ever caused you any problems?" she paused
for a second and added quickly, "Wait! Don't answer that!
Anyway, all I need you to do is kick John and his buddies out
of the bar at ten tonight."
"Kick
them out? But they're my best customers," George complained.
"Just
do it, please," Tammy pleaded.
"OK,
I'll do it, but I have a feeling I'm going to regret it somehow."
"You
won't; I promise. Remember, exactly ten o'clock. Thanks George,"
Tammy said hurriedly into the phone before she hung up, more confident
than ever that her plan was going to work.
The living
room was beginning to fill with their friends. John was kept busy
mixing drinks and making sure everybody's glasses and plates were
filled. He nearly bumped into Tammy as he walked into the kitchen
for another bottle of Seven-Up. "I'm dying to know. What
are you up to?" he asked.
Tammy smiled
wickedly as she pulled the strap of her tank top back onto her
shoulder, "I told you, it's a surprise." She kissed
him on the cheek and left him alone in the kitchen, his curiosity
growing by the minute.
He returned
to the living room and placed the bottle of soda on the bar. He
mixed two more seven and sevens, handing them to Leslie's husband
Bill and Kourtney's husband Sean.
"So
what's Tammy's master plan today?" Bill asked with a laugh.
John shook
his head and answered, "I have no idea; she won't tell me
anything."
"I just
want you to know," Sean said with a mocking smile, "My
freezer is still full of ostrich steaks, ground ostrich and ostrich
bacon."
John laughed
and said, "My dog loves the stuff, especially the steaks."
"John,
can I talk to you in the kitchen please," they heard Tammy
ask from across the room.
"Sure,"
he answered. Turning back to the guys, he said, "Be right
back, the mad investor calls." John went into the kitchen
and Tammy kissed him passionately, running her hand between his
legs and gently biting his lower lip.
"I need
a favor," she said as she broke the kiss.
"What
now?" John answered apprehensively.
"Take
all of the men down to Box Seats. Isn't there some kind of important
basketball game tonight? Kourtney said she had to drag Sean down
here screaming and kicking complaining that he would miss the
game."
"Well,"
John answered, "there's the NCAA championship game. I think
I can get them to go to Box Seats with me. It'll be a struggle
to convince them to leave our house and a chance to see one of
your demonstrations to go to Box Seats to watch the game, but
I'll try my best. Follow me."
John stepped
into the living room and clapped his hands. Everybody turned and
looked at him, John smiled broadly and said, "We're out of
here guys. Let's go down to Box Seats and watch State kick some
Gator ass!"
The husbands
looked at their respective wives, and as they realized they were
free to go, they pumped their fists and headed out the door.
Once they
outside, the men formed groups and drove to the bar in three cars.
John drove one group in his Expedition. From the backseat, he
heard Bill ask, "Something smells funny to me about this
whole thing. What are they up to?"
"I don't
know and I don't care," John answered. "All I know is
we get to watch the game."
"Aren't
you even a little curious?" Bill asked.
"A little,
but the way I see it, I can go to the bar, watch the game and
let Tammy lose money, or I can sit around the house, miss the
game and watch Tammy lose money. I prefer to watch the game."
Bill nodded
his head and answered, "Can't fight that logic. I'll take
Florida if you give me six points and bet something more than
your usual two dollars."
John smiled
and answered, "OK, make it fifty. At least I'll recoup a
little of the money Tammy's losing tonight. You're on."
The women
watched the men file out of the house, pile into the cars and
drive away. Tammy disappeared into the kitchen and returned after
the men had left. She carried a shiny metal can in her hand, about
the size of a Campbell's soup can. It had a small flexible tube
sticking through the top and some kind of trigger mechanism that
seemed to control the flow of whatever was inside the can.
"What's
in the can?" Kourtney asked.
"These
cans are not only going to make us rich," Tammy answered
with a smile, "they will also make our lives much simpler.
I've signed an exclusive distribution plan with the inventor and
manufacturer of a major new development in spousal relations.
Ladies, in this can is a secret formula, made of only pure and
one hundred percent natural ingredients; it will change our lives
and the lives of women as we know it."
Leslie looked
at Kourtney, and they laughed loudly. The other women joined in
as Tammy angrily stomped her foot, trying to get their attention.
"Quit
laughing, I'm serious," Tammy said loudly.
Leslie wiped
the tears from her eyes and said, "Sorry, Tam, but you gave
almost the same speech when you showed us the disposable clothing
line. So what's in the can?"
Tammy sighed
and answered, "This can contains a love potion, Dr. Rui's
Amazing Love Potion in a Can to be exact. All you have to
do is have the man of your dreams -- or your husband -- breathe
the contents of the can and he instantly falls head over heels
in love with you, doing your every wish and desire. The great
part is this, it works for a month, and then the potion needs
to be re-administered, that's how we become rich, by selling the
cans every month."
Kourtney
looked at the group of women, folded her arms and said, "That
has to be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard of."
Tammy stared
at her and said, "It's guaranteed to work. There's also a
product formulated for females, it's a little different, it guarantees
two hours of lustful desire. I ordered one case to use as a demonstration
tonight and this is one of the cans. I'm the exclusive dealer
for that product too, but obviously, I don't want to sell that
stuff, not yet anyway. Kourtney, since you're the skeptic, you're
the first volunteer. Which person in this room would you like
to lust after tonight?"
Kourtney
laughed loudly, looked around the room and pointed at Tammy, "How
about you? If this works, I'll be more amazed than anybody."
Tammy sighed
deeply and answered, "OK, me. Step up here. Everybody else
pair off. Tammy handed cans to each pair of women and returned
to her spot next to Kourtney.
Kourtney
giggled and said, "Like I would lust after another woman.
OK, I'm ready."
Tammy handed
the can to Kourtney and placed the tube in her mouth. "Just
breath in as the gas fills your mouth. You need to breathe as
much of it as you can. Close your eyes and don't open them until
I tell you to. Everybody else do the same."
Kourtney
nodded her head, and Tammy pulled the triggering mechanism. A
soft, hissing noise came from the can and Kourtney breathed deeply.
She closed her eyes and breathed in the canned gas. When the hissing
stopped, Tammy turned Kourtney away from the women and stood in
front of her. She took a deep breath and said, "Is everybody
ready. Make sure your partner looks at you first. Ready?"
The women
answered yes, and Tammy continued, "OK, the girls who breathed
the gas, open your eyes and look at your partner."
Tammy looked
at Kourtney as she opened her eyes. Kourt blinked a few times,
stared at Tammy and announced, "It doesn't work."
The rest
of the women muttered similar things and they all turned to Tammy.
"It takes a few minutes to kick in. Let me run upstairs and
get the instructions to make sure we did it right. I'll be right
back."
Tammy bounded
up the stairs and entered her bedroom. She grabbed her clipboard,
sat on the bed and studies the instructions. She read them twice
and couldn't figure what went wrong. She began reading the instructions
a third time, when she heard a soft knock on the door. Kourtney
peeked into the bedroom and smiled at Tammy.
"Can
I come in?" Kourtney said sweetly.
"Yeah.
I don't know what went wrong? Maybe this stuff is a scam; John's
going to be so mad at me."
Kourtney
looked at Tammy, her eyes filled with emotion.
"I don't
know," Tammy continued. "Maybe after a woman takes this
stuff, they fall in lust with the first man they see, not the
first woman. If that's the case, we better be careful and make
sure everybody sees their own husband first."
Kourtney
sat next to Tammy and said, "Maybe... I've never noticed
how beautiful your eyes are; they're so green. How do you stay
so thin?"
"Like
you need to ask me, your body is better than mine?"
"You
think?" Kourtney answered. "I'm chubby and my boobs
are too big."
"You
are not chubby and your boobs aren't too big. I would love to
have boobs like yours."
"They're
not as nice as yours; yours are so perky."
"I would
die to have ones like yours. Just once, I would like to show serious
cleavage."
Kourtney
leaned toward Tammy and pushed her arms together, causing her
breasts to push together. "Like this?" Kourtney asked
as she looked down at her chest.
"Yeah.
I would love to do that to somebody, just once."
"You
have enough to do it. Put your arms together and lean over a little."
Tammy giggled
and imitated Kourtney, pressing her breasts together and leaning
forward. She looked down at her own chest and giggled at the small
amount of cleavage that appeared. "See, almost nothing."
Tammy looked up at Kourtney who was intently staring at Tammy's
breasts.
Kourtney
moved her hands and put one on each of Tammy's breasts, "They're
beautiful."
Tammy couldn't
move, she wasn't sure if she should be happy that Dr. Rui's
Amazing Love Potion in a Can seemed to be working, or if
she should be mad at Kourtney for playing a joke on her. Either
way, Tammy realized she needed to get out of the bedroom and into
the living room with the rest of the women. She firmly moved Kourtney's
hands off her breasts and said, "I think we better check
on everybody else."
Kourtney
giggled and tried to put her hands around Tammy's waist, "Everybody
else is doing just fine."
"I think
I better check on them," Tammy insisted.
"Stay
here, alone with me," Kourtney pleaded as she moved a hand
to Tammy's breast and softly caressed it.
Tammy pushed
Kourtney's hands away again and stood. She heard somebody running
up the stairs and the bedroom door burst open. Leslie looked at
Tammy and said, "Help me! Terry's..." Leslie breathed
deeply and closed the door behind her, holding it closed, "Terry's
out of control, you've got to do something, isn't there an antidote
or something?"
Tammy stared
blankly at her, pushing Kourtney's hands off her again, "The
stuff really works?"
"Yes!
It works," Leslie yelled, "but you have to do something!"
There was
another knock on the door, and Tammy heard Terry say softly from
outside, "Leslie, are you in there?"
Leslie held
her finger to her lips and shook her head, a terrified look on
her face.
"No,
Terry, she's not in here," Tammy answered.
"Yes
she is, Terry." Kourtney yelled as her hands moved toward
Tammy's breasts again.
Tammy turned
to look at Kourtney and watched as Kourtney pulled her blouse
over her head and the cups of her bra down, exposing her breasts
to Tammy. "You said I had nice boobs, why don't you see what
they feel like?" Kourtney stepped toward Tammy, pushed her
onto the bed and lay on top of her. Kourt pushed her hand under
Tammy's top and placed it on Tammy's breast. She softly massaged
Tammy's breast and moved her head to kiss Tammy. Tammy looked
toward the door, somehow hoping Leslie could help her and found
Leslie pinned against the door, Terry passionately kissing her,
her arms wrapped around Leslie's waist as Leslie's arms flailed
in the air.
Tammy somehow
pushed Kourtney off her and ran toward the door. Leslie had given
in to Terry's desires and was now returning Terry's kisses, her
hands pulling Terry closer. Tammy opened the door and bounded
down the stairs. As Tammy reached the bottom of the stairs, she
heard Kourtney call her name from the top of the stairs and looked
up.
Kourtney
had stripped off her blouse and was cupping one breast, licking
her nipple with her tongue, "C'mon Tammy, don't these look
delicious?" she said with a hedonistic look on her face.
Tammy stepped
toward the living room and found eight pairs of women in various
states of undress. Two women were laying on the sofa, their heads
buried between each other's legs. One woman was valiantly trying
to fight off her partner's advances, but her blouse was already
stripped off and she was about to give in. Her words were telling
her partner to stop, but her face was full of hunger.
"Ohmygosh!
This stuff really works," Tammy said to herself as her mouth
opened wide in amazement. She stared at the women in her living
room, amazed by the scene; it looked like a bad porno movie. Tammy
didn't hear Kourtney appear silently behind her until Kourt's
hands wrapped around her waist. She turned to push Kourtney away,
only to be met by Kourt's lips pressing against her own lips as
Kourtney's hand moved up her stomach to her breast.
Tammy put
her hands on Kourtney's shoulders, trying to push her away. Her
protests grew weaker as her passion grew from Kourtney's relentless
kisses and caresses. As Kourtney removed her lips from Tammy's
and moved her kisses to Tammy's neck, she pushed Tammy's blouse
higher.
"I'm
not going to be able to fight you off for two hours am I?"
Tammy asked lustfully as Kourtney pulled on the cup of Tammy's
bra
Kourtney
shook her head and moved her kisses Tammy's now exposed breast.
"I guess
this is my fault anyway. I may as well take my medicine."
Kourtney pulled Tammy's nipple between her mouth, gently nibbling
it as her hand unbuttoned Tammy's slacks and her hand slid inside.
"Why the fuck not," Tammy said to herself as she slid
her pants past her hips and felt Kourtney's hand slide between
her legs.
"Ten
minutes left in the game, Bill. Want to pay up," John said
with a huge smile on his face.
"No
way, it's not over 'till the fat lady sings," Bill answered.
"Hey George! Another round," he yelled at the owner
of Box Seats as he passed by carrying a case of bottled beer.
"Be
right up," George answered. Remembering Tammy's request,
George rested the case of beer on his leg, balancing it with his
left hand. He looked at the watch on his right hand and said,
"Can't boys. It's after ten o'clock; time for you to go home."
"What!"
the party of men said loudly.
"I'm
not going to lie to you, John. Tammy called me earlier and told
me to kick you out of here at ten. I'm not getting on her bad
side; she might try to sell me octopus ice cream or something.
Now get out of here."
Bill answered,
"See you, John. The little lady is calling you."
"You
too, Billy, all of you. Get out of here now or I'm gonna make
you buy some ostrich burgers," George said as he walked to
the bar.
"John,"
Sean said looking at him and nodding his head. "You got some
'splaining to do," he said in his best Ricky Ricardo impression.
"I say
we stay till the end of the game, then we go," John replied.
"The girls can wait."
The group
of men cheered loudly and high-fived each other. They returned
their attention to the game, which had five more minutes left
to play.
George looked
at them from behind the bar and approached them. "You guys
still here? Get out of here before Tammy comes down here with
a truckload of T-shirts for me. And remember, you're supposed
to go back to Tammy's place. If you don't, and I do get another
truckload of whatever Tammy is selling this time, next time you
come in, I'll make each of you buy two cases of it. That includes
you, John."
"But
George," the men whined.
"Out!"
he said, "or do I have to get Vince and Rocky to throw you
out?"
"OK,
OK," John said, "We're leaving." The men grabbed
their coats and went out the door and into their cars. They drove
home in silence, the men sadly staring at John as the play by
play of the championship game played on the radio.
All of the
women except Tammy sat in the living room, fully dressed, the
buttons of their blouses fastened higher than they were earlier.
They stared at the floor, the walls, the boxes stacked along the
wall, at anything but each other.
Tammy bounded
down the stairs with a smile on her face and whistling loudly.
She took one look at her friends silently sitting in the living
room, avoiding each other's eyes. "C'mon girls, what's the
matter?" she asked.
Ten pairs
of eyes looked up at Tammy, six mouths frowned and the six pairs
of eyes returned their gazes to whatever they were staring at
before Tammy entered the room.
"You
don't understand what's going on here, do you?" she asked.
"Think about it, the women's formula works exactly as advertised,
that must mean the man's formula must be equally as effective."
Leslie looked
up with a frown and whined, "I don't believe I just made
love with Terry,"
"We
have to chalk it up as a mistake, we'll know better next time,"
Tammy said cheerfully, "and anyway, it wasn't that bad, was
it?" she said with a giggle as she glanced at Kourtney.
Kourtney
smiled wickedly and admitted, "I guess not."
"When
the men get here, we can't try it on all of them together, but
I think we need to do it here, so we can all see the results.
But, we don't want all of them to see what happens. How do we
do this?" Tammy asked.
Terry replied,
"Why don't you take John upstairs, have him take it then
come down with him, we'll be able to see the results that way."
"It
can't be John and Tammy," Kourtney answered, "If it
didn't work, maybe John would fake it so Tammy could sell the
bottles to us. It has to be somebody else, I'll do it with Sean."
Leslie answered,
"It can't be you Kourt, what happens if it didn't work, but
you have some lingering affects from your bottle and you decide
to cover up for Tammy."
"Then
who?" Tammy asked.
"I'll
do it," Leslie answered, "Bill's been a jerk lately,
I want to see him treat me like he did when we were dating."
"Any
objections?" Tammy asked. The room remained silent and Tammy
continued, "Then it's decided, Leslie will take Bill upstairs,
give him the love potion and come back down."
As Tammy
finished her sentence, the front door opened and John walked in
silently, followed by the men, all of them staring angrily at
Tammy. "What?" Tammy asked.
"George
kicked us out," Bill answered, "Just as the game was
getting good."
"That's
sweet, honey." Leslie told her husband. "Can I talk
to you alone for a second?"
"Sure
sweetie. The game's over anyway."
Leslie took
her husband's hand and walked up the stairs, as she passed Tammy,
Tammy handed her a can and winked at her.
As Leslie
closed the door behind her, she smiled at her husband and said,
"I just wanted to tell you how much I love you. I would do
anything for you."
Bill laughed
quietly and smiled at his wife. "I love you to, sweetie.
I would do anything for you, too."
Leslie kissed
her husband on the lips and smiled at him. "Anything?"
she asked.
"Anything,"
he responded as he kissed her again and smiled.
"Good,"
Leslie answered as she handed him the chrome bottle. "Try
this."
Bill looked
at the bottle, then at his wife. He held the bottle above his
head and examined the bottom of the can. " Dr. Rui's
Amazing Love Potion in a Can? What the hell is this?"
"Just
try it."
Bill shook
the bottle and held it upside down. "Is this one of Tammy's
schemes?" he asked.
Leslie nodded
her head and answered, "Yeah, but I think this one actually
works."
"You
said that about the disposable clothing and the ostrich burgers
too."
"Just
try it. Put this end in your mouth, press the trigger and breathe
it in."
Bill hesitatingly
placed the tube into his mouth then pulled it out, "This
stuff isn't going to kill me, is it?" he asked.
"Of
course not," Leslie answered. Bill replaced the tube in his
mouth and placed his finger on the trigger. "At least I don't
think it will," she said with a smile. Bill tilted his head,
raised one eyebrow and looked at his wife. "I'm kidding,"
she said. "Turn around and stare at the door. When you're
done breathing all of the air in the can, turn around and look
at me."
Bill shrugged
his shoulders and turned away from his wife. Facing the door,
he pressed the trigger and breathed in the contents of the can.
It had a sort of sweet smell to it, a little fruity, he decided.
As he breathed in the last bit of air, there was a knock on the
door and Tammy opened the door a crack. Looking in she asked,
"Is everything okay in here?"
Bill smiled
at Tammy and answered, "No problems. What's this stuff supposed
to do anyway?
"Close
your eyes! Close your eyes!" Leslie yelled as she grabbed
her husband by the waist and turned him away from the door.
"Why?"
Bill asked dumbfounded by his wife's actions. "You know,
I never noticed how pretty Tammy's eyes are."
Tammy looked
at Leslie with a flustered look on her face. "Oops,"
she said as she closed the door behind her.
"There
has to be an antidote," Leslie told Tammy over the phone.
"I told
you, I called this guy in Brazil last night, Dr. Rui, and he told
me the only thing we can do is wait until it wears off."
"A month.
I have to listen to him talk about you for a month?" Leslie
said exasperated. "Do you realize that from the moment we
left your house last night, until he went to sleep, all he could
do was talk about how pretty you are, how smart you are, how pretty
your eyes are, how sexy your body is? I don't think I can take
much more. Then when he woke up, he wanted to call you to see
how you were doing, to see if you needed help cleaning up or if
there was anything he could do for you."
"Oops,"
Tammy answered as the doorbell rang. "Somebody's at the door,
I'll be right back."
"Call
me back, I've got to run to the grocery store. You've got to do
something, Tam."
"I don't
know what I can do. I'll figure something out. Talk to you later."
Tammy hung up the phone and walked to the door. She knew she had
to do something about Bill, and she knew she had to break the
news to John somehow, but she didn't have a clue how to do either.
She opened the door and a man stood there holding a dozen roses.
"I'm
looking for Tammy Alvaretto," he said.
"That's
me. Did somebody send me flowers?" she asked.
"Brilliant
deduction ma'am. Sign here, please."
Tammy signed
the paper and handed the clipboard back to the deliveryman. "Where
do you want them, ma'am?" he asked.
"Just
hand them to me."
The delivery
man shook his head and smiled, "Can't do that."
"Why
not?" Tammy asked.
The delivery
man smiled and answered, "I'll be right back."
Tammy's puzzled
expression changed as the delivery man opened the door of his
van and two other men hopped out. "Put them all inside,"
he told them.
"Ohmygosh,"
Tammy said as she stared at the dozens of red roses they carried.
"These are all for me?" she asked.
The deliveryman
arched his eyebrows and smiled, "All of them, all fifty dozen
of them. Somebody must really like you."
Tammy leaned
against the door and sighed, the delivery man handed her an envelope
as he passed. Tammy sat on the couch, opening the envelope slowly.
The door closed and Tammy stared at the mountain of flowers filling
her living room. Opening the card, she read the words handwritten
inside.
"Dearest
Tammy, I love you more than I have ever loved anybody before.
I need to be with you. Please be mine, Love, Bill."
Tammy closed
her eyes, folded her arms on the arm of the couch and rested her
head in her arms. She took a deep breath and walked into the kitchen,
glancing at the pile of roses as she passed them. She picked up
the phone to call Leslie and the doorbell rang again. Returning
the phone to the cradle, she walked into the living room and toward
the door, carefully stepping by the mass of red roses. "More
flowers?" she asked as she opened the door.
Her mouth
dropped as she found Bill standing in the doorway, holding a dozen
red roses in her hand and a bottle of wine. "Hi, Tammy,"
he said with a lovesick look on his face.
"Bill!"
she said.
"Can
I come in?" he asked.
"I guess
so," Tammy answered hesitantly as she opened the door.
Bill smiled
at her warmly and stepped into the house. "I see you got
my flowers. I hope they're not too much."
Tammy sighed
and answered, "I guess they're not too many. Thanks."
"Anything
for you, Tammy. Have I ever told you before how beautiful your
eyes are?"
"Only
about a thousand times on the phone last night. You can't call
me at two in the morning anymore, and I don't think it's a good
idea..."
"I apologize
for that, but I had to hear your voice."
Tammy looked
at the pile of roses and answered, "That's okay, just don't
do it again. I didn't tell Leslie or John that we talked on the
phone for an hour last night."
"Tell
them, I don't care who knows I've fallen in love with you."
Tammy sat
on the couch, an exasperated look on her face. "It's my fault,
I shouldn't have looked in on you."
"It's
nobody's fault," Bill answered, "It was fate that brought
us together." Bill looked at Tammy and asked, "Can I
get you anything my peach, a pillow, or something to drink, or
maybe a massage. You look really stressed out, a massage would
do you good."
"No,
I'm fine. Thanks anyway."
Bill moved
to the couch and sat on the armrest. He reached his hands to Tammy's
shoulders and began to knead her tired muscles. "Doesn't
that feel good?"
"Yes,"
Tammy answered with an absent sigh and a relaxed smile. Realizing
what she was doing, Tammy stood and said, "I mean no. You
can't give me a massage."
Bill shrugged
his shoulders and said, "Sure I can. I'll make you feel better
than you've ever felt before."
"Please,
Bill."
"Tammy,
don't you understand? I love you, I want to be with you."
"What
about Leslie?" Tammy asked.
"Who?"
Bill answered as he stood, placed his hands on Tammy's shoulders
and continued massaging her. "Can I get you anything, my
little bumpkin. Anything at all?"
Tammy moved
away from him and looked at him. A sly smile appeared on her face
and she said, "As a matter of fact, there is something I
would love right now."
"Anything."
"I would
kill for a banana split right now."
Bill smiled,
pulled his car keys out of his pocket and headed for the door.
As he passed the mound of roses, he stopped, turned and returned
to Tammy. He shyly kissed her on the cheek and smiled at her.
"I'll be right back, my beautiful swan. Don't move."
"Don't
bet on it," Tammy muttered.
"What
my dear? I didn't hear what you said."
"I said
I wouldn't dream of leaving."
Bill leaned
in and kissed her cheek again, then slid his lips to hers and
gave her a quick kiss on her lips. "I will remember this
moment forever," he said with a big smile on his face, "Our
first kiss. I'll be back in ten minutes with the best banana split
you've ever eaten. Then I'll feed it to you and get you whatever
you want."
He walked
to the door with a big grin on his face. As he opened the door,
he turned and blew a kiss at Tammy. She smiled at him and waved
to him. Bill closed the door and Tammy ran up the stairs and into
her bedroom. She grabbed her purse and glanced out the window,
Bill's car was just leaving the driveway. Tammy ran back down
the stairs and into the garage and into her car. Opening the garage
door, she turned the ignition and backed out of the driveway,
nearly running over the mailbox on her way out.
Tammy perked
her car in the small parking lot in the middle of the forest preserve.
She was safe there, she figured. There was no way Bill could find
her there. She picked up her cell phone, put her keys in her pocket
and stepped out of the car. She followed a well worn path through
the trees, and came upon a large clearing in front of a pond.
Tammy found
a tree that had fallen, and sat on it, staring out into the deserted
pond. She set the cell phone on the ground, stretched her arms
into the air and yawned. She was safe there, she was in the middle
of nowhere, after all, who could find her there?
Tammy heard
a sharp cracking sound from behind; she turned to find Bill standing
behind her, a melted banana split in his hand and a huge grin
on his face. "Hi, my love," he said.
"Bill!"
Tammy answered, "What are you doing here?"
"I was
going to ask you the same thing. If I didn't know better I would
have thought you were trying to hide from me. It's a good thing
I saw you pull out of the driveway or I would have spent the whole
day looking for you." Bill smiled at her and handed her the
ice cream. "Here's your banana split." Bill scrunched
his face and continued, "I think it melted a little."
"Bill,
we really need to talk," Tammy said as she took the ice cream
from him and placed it on the ground. "You're really not
in love with me, it's a chemical thing. That stuff in the can
that you breathed in last night is making you think you're in
love with me, but you're not. Understand?"
"I don't
care why I love you. All I know is that I love you with all my
heart and soul." Bill knelt on one knee in front of her and
asked, "My little boo-boo, will you marry me?"
Tammy buried
her head in her hands and screamed loudly. Turning to Bill, she
stood and looked at him sternly. "Listen, Bill. You're a
nice guy and everything, but we can't get married, we can't even
keep seeing each other like this. I'm married to John, and you're
married to Leslie."
"I don't
care about Leslie anymore, and if John wants to put up a fight
for you, I'll fight him, all I want is you."
"Argh!"
Tammy yelled loudly as she looked into the sky. "You don't
understand..." A sly smile crossed her lips and she turned
to Bill, placing her hand on his cheek and smiled at him, "It
would never work between us. I don't love you and in a month you
would be wondering what happened."
"I will
always love you my darling," Bill answered.
"I know
that, pumpkin, but if you really love me as much as you say you
do..."
"I love
you more than I can say," Billy interrupted.
"If
you love me that much, then you must set me free. Go home and
stay with Leslie. You told me you would do whatever I wanted,
and I want you to be with Leslie."
Bill opened
his mouth to protest, but then he understood what Tammy was saying
was true. He frowned and looked at the ground, when he looked
up at Tammy again, a tear was falling down his cheek as he said,
"I love you, my precious, and I will do what you wish, though
it breaks my heart. I will return to Leslie, but my thoughts will
be of you, of your eyes, your voice, your beauty." He stood
next to Tammy, wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her
to him. Pressing his lips against hers; he kissed her passionately.
At first, Tammy tried to push him away, but the passion in his
kiss was so great that she gave in to his desires, and kissed
him back, nearly matching his fervor.
As she pulled
him closer, he suddenly broke the kiss and stepped back. "I
will return to Leslie now, but my spirit and soul belongs to you."
Bill turned and walked slowly down the path. Tammy sat on the
tree stump and watched him leave dejectedly. As he disappeared,
she closed her eyes and sighed loudly, relieved that she had found
a solution to her problem.
"Tammy,
You have got to do something about Bill. It's been three days
and all he does is sit on the couch, mope around, cry and repeat
your name over and over. He looks like a lovesick puppy; I'm beginning
to feel sorry for him. If you could only see him, then you'd know
what I mean. He won't eat, he won't go to work, he won't do anything
but sit in his chair and cry."
"What
do you want me to do?" Tammy asked. "I can't lead him
on or anything."
"I know,
but this is crazy. He won't even look at me. I tried making love
to him the other night, but he just shook me off. Do you know
what he told me, he said, 'I can only make love with the woman
of my dreams, and she rejected me.' Can't you do anything for
the poor guy? After all, this is all your fault."
"It
will wear off soon," Tammy said.
"Soon?
Three and a half more weeks, I'll be in the nuthouse by then,
and so will he if he can last that long. Did you call the inventor
again?"
"Yes,
but Dr. Rui still says the only thing we can do is wait it out."
"There
has to be something you can do. Maybe if I bring Bill over to
see you, he might cheer up a little."
"Ummm,
I don't think that would be a good idea," Tammy answered,
"I mean, when he's around me, it's not a pretty sight. He
looks at me with his big blue eyes and offers to do whatever I
ask him to. If I were you, I couldn't stand to see my husband
acting like that with some other woman."
"Well...
maybe if I wasn't there, and Bill was alone with you, then..."
"No
way. Do you remember when you tried to fight off Terry?"
"Yeah..."
"Well,
this is worse. He doesn't attack me, but do you know how tempting
it is, I mean he offers to do everything I want, anything from
massages to... Well, you know, and he treats me like a queen.
I don't think I should be left alone with him."
"Well
what the hell do you say we should do then?" Leslie asked
with more than a hint of jealousy.
"I don't
know?" Tammy admitted.
"You
know what he's doing now?" Leslie asked, "he's sleeping
in his chair, and he keeps repeating your name in his sleep. Tomorrow,
at ten in the morning, I'm bringing him over, I think if he sees
you and you talk to him nicely, he might feel a little better."
"Leslie,
I don't think..."
"I don't
care what you think!" Leslie said sharply, "This is
your fault, deal with it." Leslie hung up the phone angrily.
Tammy looked
at the phone blankly, closed her eyes and said to herself, "I
finally found something that really works, and look at the mess
I'm in."
Tammy opened
the door the next morning and found Leslie standing there. Bill
was behind her, a big grin on his face. He was wearing a pair
of sweatpants and a tight T-shirt that showed off his well muscled
body.
"Are
you just going to stare or are you going to let us in?" Leslie
asked.
Tammy moved
to the side and Leslie pushed her way in. Bill smiled warmly at
Tammy, and pulled a bouquet of flowers from behind his back and
handed them to her, "For you, my love."
Tammy smiled
at him, her lips pressed tightly together. He reached toward her
and kissed her on the cheek and waltzed into the house. Leslie
looked at him and said, "Sit down on the couch, don't move.
I need to talk to the love of your life in the kitchen."
Wordlessly,
Bill nodded his head and frowned at Leslie. He turned to Tammy
and smiled at her, battering his eyes and waving his fingers at
her.
Tammy smiled
at him and waved back. Leslie grabbed her hand and angrily pulled
her into the kitchen. "Go get a bottle of that stuff, the
stuff for women?"
"The
women's formula?" Tammy asked puzzled. "That's not going
to do any good, not unless you want to force yourself on your
husband or you want me to..." Tammy paused for a moment,
"uh-uh," she continued, "I'm not going to do it."
"Yes
you are. You are going to take that stuff, look at MY husband
and make him happy for a couple of hours."
"I can't,
I mean, what about John? And what about you?" Tammy protested.
"John
will never know, and I can deal with it... I think. Do it. Now!"
Leslie ordered.
"But..."
"Argh!
Come with me." Leslie grabbed Tammy by the hand and pulled
her back into the living room. As Bill noticed Tammy enter the
room, he stood and timidly smiled at her. Which box has the stuff
we're looking for?" Leslie asked.
Tammy pointed
toward the correct box; Leslie pulled a can out of it and handed
it to Tammy. "Here. "You know what to do with it."
Tammy took
the can from her and answered, "I can't do this."
"Yes
you can and you will. Now close your eyes and take your medicine."
Tammy obediently
closed her eyes and stuck the tube into her mouth. Pressing the
trigger, she breathed the formula. As the hissing stopped, she
heard Leslie tell her, "OK, now turn around and follow me."
Leslie led
Tammy toward her husband and Tammy kept her eyes closed. As they
passed the coffee table, Tammy hit her shin on it and said loudly,
"Ouch!" Opening her eyes, she looked at her leg and
rubbed it. As she looked up, she looked straight into Leslie's
eyes."
"Oh
shit!" Leslie said softly.
"What?"
Tammy asked innocently. When she realized what had happened, it
was too late. She stepped toward Leslie, a lustful look on her
face. Leslie ran away and stood next to Bill on the couch. She
grabbed his hand and pulled him up; he stood there silently, staring
at Tammy. Leslie hid behind him and yelled out, "You don't
want me, you want him!"
Tammy shook
her head slightly and stepped toward them licking her lips seductively.
Bill smiled broadly and stepped toward Tammy, waiting for her
to kiss him. As he closed his eyes and pushed his face toward
Tammy, she pushed him aside and he fell onto the couch, a confused
pout on his face. Leslie ran away again, running toward the stairway.
Tammy ran after her saying, "You are so sexy, Leslie. Come
here and let me get a better look."
Leslie went
up the steps as fast as she could, but tripped halfway up. Tammy
was above her in an instant, laying on top of her and kissing
her passionately.
"You
don't want me?" Bill said from behind them.
Tammy stopped
kissing Leslie and turned to Bill. "No, I don't want you.
I want her." Turning back to Leslie, Tammy pushed her hand
up Leslie's blouse, cupping her breast through her bra and kissed
her lips hungrily.
Bill turned
around dejectedly and returned to the couch. He sat, stared at
Tammy as she seduced his wife, a big pout on his face. He leaned
forward, burying his head in his hands as he whimpered, muttering
to himself, "She doesn't love me."
Leslie pushed
Tammy off and ran up the stairs. She glanced both directions and
ran into the bathroom. She closed the door behind her and locked
it, leaning against it. The doorknob jiggled and Tammy said from
the other side, "Leslie, please let me in."
"Go
away!" Leslie yelled.
"I won't
hurt you, I promise. I want to make you feel good, I wouldn't
hurt you."
"Go
away!"
"You
did it with Terry the other night. Is she prettier than I am?"
"Go
away!"
Tammy shook
the doorknob and pleaded, "Please, please let me in."
"Go
away! Go downstairs and take care of my husband?"
"But
I don't want him. I want you."
"Go
away!"
"Just
one kiss, please." Tammy pleaded. "If you let me kiss
you, just once, then later on I'll take care of Bill. Please.
Just one little kiss."
"Go
away!"
Leslie heard
the doorknob shake, then heard Tammy's footsteps move away from
the door. In a few moments, she heard Tammy's footsteps grow louder,
"Please let me in," Tammy said.
"Go
away!"
Leslie heard
a click from the doorknob and realized that Tammy had unlocked
the door. The door pressed against Leslie's back as she desperately
fought to keep it from opening. As Tammy pushed harder, Leslie
found herself sliding on the tile floor and the door inched open.
Unable to keep the door closed any longer, Leslie slumped to the
floor as Tammy sat next to her. Tammy had already stripped off
her blouse and bra as she stared at Leslie sensually.
"I'm
stuck, aren't I?" Leslie asked.
Tammy nodded
her head and moved her lips towards Leslie's, they pressed against
them as Tammy kissed her passionately. Leslie gave in to Tammy's
desires, realizing she couldn't fight her off for two hours. "It
won't be that bad," she said to herself.
Tammy's robe
kept falling open as she followed the fully dressed Leslie down
the stairs and found Bill sitting on the couch in the same position
they had left him, his head buried in his hands. He was muttering
something repeatedly, it was only when they were within a few
feet of him that they could make out his words. "She doesn't
love me," he moaned repeatedly.
"Go
get a bottle, Tammy," Leslie said impatiently.
"No
way. I'm not doing it."
"You
promised, or did you forget?
"I did?"
Tammy asked.
"Yes,
when you were outside the basement door and wanted to... umm ...
get to me, you promised that if I let you in you would take a
bottle and let Bill make love to you."
"I did?"
Tammy asked. "I don't remember that. All I remember is wanting
to... umm, I really said that?" Tammy asked again.
"Sure
did."
"Do
I have to?"
Leslie looked
at Tammy wordlessly and nodded her head slowly.
"Then
again," Tammy answered, "You didn't exactly let me in,
I unlocked the door and let myself in, so technically you didn't
hold up your end of the bargain," Tammy said with a smirk.
"Go
get the bottle," Leslie answered.
Tammy walked
slowly to the box that held the female formula, and grabbed a
can. As she returned, she said, "You know, I'm not sure if
it's safe to take this stuff so quickly. I just inhaled a bottle
a couple of hours ago, I don't want to get addicted to this stuff."
"Either
you're going to take it by yourself, or I'm going to shove the
stupid tube down your throat and make you take it," Leslie
answered.
Tammy placed
the tube in her mouth, and began pressing the trigger. As the
air began to hiss through the tube, she let go and said, "It
would probably be a good idea if you left the room."
Bill lifted
his head from his hands, looked dejectedly at Tammy, stood, and
began walking toward the front door.
"Not
you," Leslie said as she grabbed his hand and pulled him
back. She walked toward the front door, as she reached it she
turned the doorknob and turned back to Tammy. "I'm going
to be watching from outside, no tricks."
Tammy held
her hand to her chest and said, "Moi?"
Leslie gave
Tammy a dirty look and slammed the door behind her. The second
the door was closed, Tammy put the bottle she was holding on the
coffee table and picked up the can that she had dropped to the
floor earlier. She put the tube in her mouth and pressed the trigger.
After a few moments, she released the trigger and looked at Bill.
Silently, she stepped toward him and opened her robe. Tammy tapped
him on the shoulder, and as he looked up at her exposed body,
a huge grin appeared on his face.
"Carry
me upstairs," Tammy ordered.
Bill picked
he up easily and walked toward the stairs, as he did, Tammy moved
her lips to his and kissed him passionately. Her hand moved between
his legs and she felt his erection through his pants. Once upstairs,
Tammy directed Bill into her bedroom and closed the door with
her foot. In the bedroom, she ordered him to put her down. Bill
followed her orders perfectly, and Tammy tightened the robe around
her body.
"Sit
over there, I have to think," Tammy said.
"But
I thought you were going to let me make love to you," Bill
said with a pout.
"Not
now, maybe later," Tammy answered quickly. Bill sat on the
bed and buried his head in his hands again. Tammy looked at him
and frowned. She debated whether she should do something with
him; on the one hand, nobody would know, and it might make him
feel better, but on the other hand, he would only feel better
for a couple of hours and then would feel as rejected as he had
earlier, maybe even more so. Tammy sat next to Bill on the bed,
her robe opening slightly as she sat.
"Now?"
Bill asked.
Tammy shook
her head with a frown, "Sorry, can't do that, but I do have
an idea. I don't know if it's going to work, but it's worth a
shot. Just do everything I tell you to, and if my plan doesn't
work, then I'll let you make love to me. Deal?" she asked.
Bill smiled
broadly and shook his head excitedly, "Anything you want,
my little kumquat."
"First,"
Tammy said firmly. "Stop calling me your love, your peach,
and most of all, stop calling me your kumquat. Call me Tammy."
"Done,
my... I mean Tammy."
"Can
you hand me the TV remote, please?" she asked sweetly. "We
have two hours to kill before we go downstairs, I hope there's
something good on."
Bill grabbed
the remote control from atop the bed and handed it to Tammy. She
clicked the TV on and rifled through the stations. All she could
find were soap operas and game shows. She turned off the TV and
looked at Bill, asking, "Nothing good. Is there anything
you can think of to do?"
Bill smiled
at her and opened his mouth. Before he could speak, Tammy interrupted
him with a smile on her face, "I mean besides that."
Bill shrugged
his shoulders, "Whatever makes you happy my... Tammy."
"Just
sit there and look happy for now," she told him. She stood
and walked to the window, carefully pulled open the curtain and
glanced outside. The driveway was empty, Leslie's car was gone.
Tammy smiled wickedly and told Bill, "Follow me,"
Tammy walked
won the stairs, Bill faithfully following her, and went into the
kitchen. She picked up the phone and dialed the international
phone number she already had memorized. After a few moments, she
heard the phone ring.
"Olá,"
a voice answered.
"Dr.
Rui, this is Tammy Alvaretto."
"Miss
Alvaretto, how so very nice to hear from you again," Dr.
Rui answered, attempting to hide his grimace.
"I was
just wondering..."
"No,
I haven't developed an antidote in the past," Dr. Rui paused
and glanced at his watch, "four and a half hours."
"I know,"
Tammy answered, "What I was wondering about is, let's use
this hypothetical situation. Let's say a man took a dose and fell
madly in love with a very beautiful woman. Then let's say, two
days later, he takes the potion again and falls in love with another,
nearly as beautiful woman. Does he forget about the first woman,
or does the second love potion not affect him, or does he fall
in love with both women, or..."
"Don't
do it," Dr. Rui answered, "We tested that situation
down here, and the effect was very surprising and potentially
dangerous. The expected part is that he forgets about the first
woman and falls in love with the second woman. The unexpected
and dangerous part is this, apparently by giving the love potion
more than once within a month causes a more than fifty-fifty probability
of a permanent attraction."
"I don't
understand, let's say I give a dose to my husband, and then another
dose in a couple of days, he falls completely in love with me,
treating me like the love of his life forever. What's wrong with
that?" Tammy asked curiously.
"There's
nothing wrong with that, apart from lost profits, but you didn't
let me finish. The dangerous part is this, there's also a fifty-fifty
chance that the potion will work in reverse with a second dose.
The subject would remain in love with the first person, and be
totally repulsed by the second. In a few cases, the result was
the opposite, the subject fell madly in love with person number
two, and totally repulsed by the first person. In one case, we
experimented with multiple doses, and the subject would switch
between complete love for the first woman, to complete hatred
for the second person, seemingly in the drop of a hat. And although
it never happened in any of the tests, there's a possibility that
the person will fall in love with both persons, causing what I
imagine would be one very confused man. There's even the possibility
of the subject being repulsed by both, but I think that would
be a very small chance."
"So
you don't think it would be a good idea?" Tammy asked.
"Not
at all," the Dr. Rui answered. "Too many variables,
with a chance of causing permanent emotional damage. Multiple
doses also may cause sudden coma-like drowsiness."
"One
more question, doctor, then I'll let you go. Is there any harm
in a woman taking repeated doses?"
"That,"
the doctor said with confidence, "is something we've thoroughly
examined. As far as we can see, there is no danger. However, we
continue to test the product on various women to verify its safety.
Just last night, my colleagues and I tested the product on three
young female volunteers. We administered the product multiple
times within a two hour period, and apart from uncontrollable
lust, multiple orgasms and insatiability, there were no problems
at all with any of the three subjects. Of course, when we were
done testing them, we were all extremely exhausted, but that is
to be expected."
"Of
course," Tammy answered. "Thanks doc," Tammy said
as she hung up the phone.
"Leslie
should be here any second now," Tammy said to Bill as he
sat dejectedly on the couch. He nodded his head quickly and returned
his head to his hands. "That means we have to pretend we're
in the midst of passion. Take off your clothes."
Bill arched
his eyebrows, looked at Tammy with his eyes wide open. He quickly
stripped off shirt. He glanced at Tammy, waiting for her to tell
him to stop, when she didn't, he stripped off his pants and underwear
in motion. He stood in front of Tammy completely naked, his excited
penis sticking straight out.
"Ohmygosh!"
Tammy exclaimed as, "Why didn't you tell me you were... you
are... ohmygosh!"
Tammy heard
a car pull into the driveway, she stepped toward the door, making
sure it was Leslie. When she was a few feet away from the window,
she heard the doorknob jiggle. Tammy sprinted back across the
room, stripping off her robe and jumping into Bill's arms.
She reached
her hand down between Bill's legs and was about to push him into
her, when the front door opened. She began pumping her body against
Bill and moaning loudly, "Oh yes, fuck me, fuck me oh yes,
fuck me big boy."
Bill pushed
his member into her and she moaned loudly, partly from the surprise
of his action, partly from the slight pain she felt as his extra
large member penetrated her, but the moan was mostly caused by
the intense pleasure she felt as he entered her.
"Tammy?"
she heard a deep voice come from the door. She turned and saw
her husband John standing just inside the door, his mouth open
wide as he stared at his naked wife being held in the air by his
equally as naked friend.
"John!"
she said excitedly. Bill pushed into her and she moaned loudly,
"This isn't what..." she moaned again as Bill pushed
into her again, "Isn't what it looks like."
"It's
not?" John answered, "Then what exactly is it?"
Bill began
moving Tammy quickly, causing his member to penetrate her deeply
and quickly, "Stop..." Tammy managed to say before she
moaned loudly.
Bill stopped
moving, but quickly returned to thrusting in and out of Tammy
when she pushed against him, pushing him back into her.. She turned
to her husband and said, "It's not what it looks like...
I mean it is, but it's not..." Tammy moaned again, "I
mean, I know what this must look like, but..."
"It
looks like you're cheating on me. With Bill of all people. What's
Leslie going to think?" John asked not believing what he
was seeing.
"Did
somebody say my name?" Leslie asked from behind John.
John quickly
turned and looked at Leslie, "Can you believe this?"
he asked, "Tammy's cheating on me, with of all people, Bill."
"And
what exactly is wrong with Bill?" Leslie asked.
"Well,
nothing I guess, but... I mean shouldn't you be... I don't know,
maybe a little upset?"
"Upset?"
Leslie asked, "Upset?" she repeated loudly. "Why
should I be upset?"
"Isn't
he your husband?" John asked.
"Yes,"
Leslie answered, "This is all Tammy's fault you know,"
"It
doesn't look like Bill is not enjoying himself, and..." John
turned his attention from Leslie to his wife, "Could you
guys stop for a second, at least until I figure out how exactly
I'm supposed to react." Turning back to Leslie, he continued,
"How exactly is this all Tammy's fault?"
Leslie sighed
and leaned against the door. The door moved slightly causing Leslie
to loose her balance momentarily. She caught herself, leaned against
the door frame and said, "Didn't Tammy tell you what happened?"
"I don't
think so. As far as I can remember, I don't recall her telling
me that she was even interested in Bill."
"Oh
not that," Leslie answered, "What they're doing now
is what they're supposed to be doing. I mean about the love potion.
Didn't she tell you?"
"Love
potion?" John asked.
"Yeah,
the stuff in the cans. She didn't tell you, did she?" Leslie
asked. John shook his head and Leslie continued, "By some
miracle, Tammy actually found a product to sell that actually
works exactly as advertised. In those cases over there, there
are two different products. One, for women, an aphrodisiac, it
makes any woman completely lust after the first person she sees,
I sort of made Tammy take that stuff before I left here..."
Leslie looked at her watch and looked at Tammy with a suspicious
look on her face, about two hours and fifteen minutes ago. It's
supposed to last for two hours."
Tammy moaned
loudly, her body beginning to climax.
"OK,"
John said as he glanced at his wife and shook his head, "This
is getting better every minute. Go on."
"And
there's also a love potion that causes a man to fall deeply in
love with the first person he sees. We decided to test it out
the other night, and I volunteered to use Bill as a subject, except
instead of seeing me first, he saw Tammy when she barged into
the room."
"So
Bill is in love with Tammy?" John asked.
"Exactly."
"OK,"
John said slowly, trying to understand exactly what was happening.
Tammy moaned loudly again and John turned to look at her. "You
don't have to enjoy it that much," he yelled. Tammy moaned
again as she arched her back and shook her head wildly back and
forth. "And you made Tammy take the aphrodisiac, so she would
make love to your husband," John asked.
"Exactly,"
Leslie answered.
"So
the person I should be extremely angry with is you?" John
asked as he tried to ignore Tammy's moans.
"No,"
Leslie answered. "You shouldn't be angry at anybody, I mean
Tammy is enjoying my husband..." she glanced at her watch
and said, "for about twenty minutes longer than expected,
but only because I felt sorry for Bill. He was walking around
like a love-sick puppy because Tammy ignored him. I figured by
giving the aphrodisiac to Tammy, that it would make Bill happy
for two hours. She glanced at her watch again, "Apparently,
that can must have been extra potent, because Tammy is now twenty-one
minutes and thirty seconds past two hours and seems to still be
want my husband."
Bill placed
Tammy onto the floor and Tammy bent over the couch. Bill pushed
into her again and Tammy moaned loudly, feeling him push into
her. Leslie and John did their best to ignore Tammy's excited
moans. Leslie pulled John outside and closed the door behind her.
Tammy's moans still could be heard, only slightly muffled by the
closed door.
"It's
only supposed to last two hours?" John asked. "Explain
this to me again, I hear what you're saying, but its like the
words are coming into my brain, but getting rejected because nothing
is making sense."
Leslie smiled
and explained asked, "Do you get the part about the two formulas?"
"I understand
it, not necessarily believe it, but that part has sort of made
it through."
"OK,"
Leslie continued, "How about the fact that my husband Bill
is completely one hundred percent heads over heels in love with
Tammy?"
"I think
that's sunk in too. What I don't understand is why..." John
paused and looked into Leslie's eyes, "Why you made Tammy
take the aphrodisiac."
"Bill
has been completely lost the last few days. He hasn't gone to
work, he hasn't eaten, he hasn't done anything except talk about
Tammy and tell me how much he loves her. Obviously, Tammy couldn't
do anything about his love, and even rejected him. She probably
could have gotten rid of the roses, but..."
"They
were from him?" John asked, "I thought she was planning
to use them for some lame-brained plot."
"Anyway,
so I made Tammy take the aphrodisiac, so Bill could be happy for
at least two hours..." she looked at her watch again, "two
and a half hours," she said as Tammy began screaming passionately
from inside the house.
"And
how am I supposed to believe that this so called love potion and
this so called aphrodisiac really work? I mean, it would be a
first for Tammy to invest in something that had potential."
"Trust
me, it works. When you guys were at Box Seats the other night...
well, Nevermind the details, but trust me, they work."
"I don't
believe it," John answered.
"Well
then, open the door and see for yourself," Leslie said loudly.
"Why
can't we just give Bill another dose and make sure that he sees
you first," John asked, "then he would be in love with
you, not Tammy."
Leslie slapped
herself on the forehead and answered, "Why didn't I think
of that. You think we can sneak in and give him another dose?"
Tammy's passionate
scream answered the question. John and Leslie opened the door,
trying to ignore Tammy's screams of pleasure as she lay on her
back on the floor as Bill drove himself into her. Leslie grabbed
a can from an opened carton and handed it to John as she whispered,
"We'll pull him off her, then you hold him and cover his
eyes; I'll give him the gas."
The couple
snuck behind Tammy and Bill, they John pushed Bill off of Tammy,
covering his eyes and pinning him to the ground. Leslie jammed
the tube into his mouth and pulled the trigger, beginning the
flow of the love potion. As she did, Tammy looked at them and
screamed, "No! Don't do that!"
Leslie pushed
Tammy away with her foot and said, "Be quiet, Tammy!"
Tammy pulled
the hose out of Bill's mouth, but it was too late, he had already
inhaled the contents. Leslie looked at Tammy with a satisfied
grin on her face, "Too late, Tam. Make sure when he opens
his eyes, he sees me," she said to John. "Ready, one
- two - three."
John removed
his hands from Bill's eyes and looked deeply into Leslie's eyes.
Tammy covered her mouth and crossed her fingers behind her back
as she waited for Bill's response. Leslie smiled warmly at Bill
as they looked deeply into one another's eyes, looking like long
time lovers. Suddenly, Bill tilted his head, furrowed his brow
and said, "Get the fuck away from me, bitch."
Leslie scrunched
her face, looked at Bill puzzlingly and answered, "What?"
